7 Chap 7: The rumor

Scene: Wen Dei Highschool, Parallel Class 8

The moment she stepped on the gates of Wen Dei High, she was already famous, or more likely infamous. Somehow, there was a rumor circulating about her being a country bumpkin who is a delinquent student but was admitted in Wen Dei High through the back door.

This is a big deal among students here as Wen Dei High is a prestigious school that is very strict on rules and regulations. They have high standards and they maintain a reputation of producing high achiever students.

Going through the back door is rarely allowed and if the students who went through the back door are found out, they would be ridiculed by other students.

Her, going through the back door, is of course false. However, her stepfather Lin Jin did use some of his connections and use up a favor owed to him by the principal to have her take a special entrance examination.

But having her enrolled here was through her own ability. She aced the examination and she actually had high grades in her middle school from the countryside.

And the only reason that she was placed in the last class is that she was late. After all, nobody expected her grandma's death.

Qin Ran sighed within. Right now, she was either being ignored or sneered at by other students.

She dispelled this rumor in her last life by acing the term exam. But she can't wait that long to prove her innocence.

When Teacher Lui Jui, their class adviser, arrived, Qin Ran called his attention.

"Teacher, may I speak to you? Give me 5 minutes." Qin Ran said.

Teacher Lui Jui was one of the teachers who has a big heart that is why Qin Ran didn't think twice about asking a favor.

"Okay, what is it?"

Qin Ran went to him, just outside the classroom door. You can hear the class murmuring among themselves, probably curious about what Qin Ran and Teacher Lui Jui are talking about this moment.

"Teacher, I don't know if you are aware of the rumor about me going through the back door. If you let me, I would like to clarify this to my classmates here today."

Teacher Lui Jui was not aware of the rumor. This rumor wasn't a big deal. However, other students would certainly scorn students who went to the back door and this might affect the student's performance.

Teacher Lui Jui had seen Qin Ran's record and knew that this student has good grades.

Qin Ran bowed and humbly requested "Please teacher let me just clarify. I have evidence here that I went through the process properly, only I was delayed."

"Okay, I will give you 5 minutes. But don't expect results. It takes time to get to know you and prove your innocence."

"Yes teacher, I understand."
