Confusion

//Feeling a bit better so Imma push out some more chaps. If you're still reading this far, hope you're enjoying the story.

"So, how'd it go?" Tiona asked the moment Aamon walked out of the tent, Riveria right on his heels.

"Short but informative." Aamon glanced betwixt the two Amazons and the blond haired female, of whom hadn't moved from her spot by the tents entrance. "I think I got a bit more of a grasp on things than I did previously."

The white-haired youth quickly gave the trio a rundown of what he and the other top brass had just finished discussing, leaving nothing out. To Aamon, there wasn't any real point in keeping it a secret, especially since he could use all the allies or potential allies he could get. Neither Finn nor the others had explicitly instructed him to remain silent, and it wasn't as if he was breaking any rules by spilling the beans. This notion was backed by the fact that Riveria didn't say anything the whole time Aamon was explaining.

"Someone stole your memories?" Tione questioned after the white-haired youth had finished. "Is that even possible?"

"Maybe through the use of some kind of magic?" Aamon touched his chin, eyes narrowing. "Or an item of some kind?"

On that note, Tione and Tiona glanced over to the jade haired elf, prompting Aamon to also turn around and look at her. Riveria didn't say anything at first, stepping past the three of them and walking towards another white tent.

Before she could get too far, she turned around and let out a sigh.

"Magic comes in countless forms. There are about as many ways to utilize magic as there are people alive and even more creative ways to use those same pieces of said magic. If you're asking if the possibility exists, then yes. If the magic. you itself couldn't do it, then a magic item could be created by someone with the appropriate skill and knowhow. It'd be insanely difficult, but it could be done. Thankfully, it's merely a possibility and not yet an actual outcome."

(("But IF it existed, what would be the point of using it?")) Aamon questioned internally. (("Is there a way for it to benefit someone? Would messing around with another person's head allow someone to gain an advantage?"))

If said magic or device could freely alter another persons memories rather than just erase or seal them, Aamon could see how useful such an object would be depending on the limit to which it could operate. Inserting yourself onto their life or the lives of everyone around a set of target(s) without suspicion, erasing your presence by taking their memory, getting rid of someone from a fight by erasing their memories and by extension their own power. Odds were though, if a device existed or the magic itself did, there was a limit to it.

Or at least Aamon hoped there was.

"Let's say for a second that it actually WAS a person who messed with your head," Tione said. "How would even be able to find them?"

Aamon touched his chin. "Finn said that there wasn't anything to go off of for a proper investigation-"

Tione immediately stepped around the white-haired youth and headed for the tent Finn was in, ignoring the rest of what Aamon had been trying to say.

"Where're you going?" Aamon questioned, eyes following her.

"If the Captain says there's no room for searching, then that's it," Tione said, standing by the entrance Ais was just standing by. "The Captain is usually right."

"But I didn't even.....what?" Aamon could only look at her with an expression mixed with confusion, shock, and more confusion.

He wasn't sure how to respond honestly. When he turned around to look at Tiona and Riveria, they didn't appear to be too surprised by the Amazon's decision, Tiona smiling apologetically and Riveria merely shaking her head. Aamon recovered from the development as quickly as he could, but it was definitely a confusing situation, one in which he hadn't been prepared for.

"She can get like that," Tiona said nonchalantly, no doubt completely used to her sisters' shenanigans.

"You'll get used to it," Riveria dismissed, motioning for Aamon to follow. "Let's get you checked up and healed. Everything else can be worried about another time."

Giving one last glance towards the Amazon, the young amnesiac let out a sigh and promptly followed the elven woman as she walked away. Tiona took the time to wave goodbye before departing to do her own thing, sprinting off with a speed and energy that Aamon could only envy. With Ais having left somewhere and Tione hanging back at Finn's tent, Aamon was left alone with Riveria as the two headed off to get the white-haired youth healed up.

"Hey Tione, wanna come to Rivira with me?"

From the spot Aamon had just departed, the energetic Amazon returned after a quick ten minute disappearance, meeting her sister at the entrance of the large white tent. The white-haired youth was nowhere in sight, no doubt still getting looked over and fixed up with the few healers the expedition team had brought. Either way, Tiona wasn't too fixated on that as she was certain he would pop up again some time soon, deciding instead to get a headstart in exploring Floor 18.

"No can do. I'm waiting for the Captain." Tione crossed her arms. "Why don't you wait for Ais and she can go with you? Or check on Aamon and see if he'd want to go. He hasn't seen Rivira before."

"Awwwwwww!!" Tiona let out a disappointed groan. "But Belph is getting healed and Ais is sleeping."

"I'll go with you."

Turning around, the two Amazons took in their new arrival as Tsubaki exited the tent.

"I'm just about finished up with the formalities. If you're willing to wait a couple of minutes for me to drop by my tent, I'll come with you."

"Oh?! That sounds amazing!! Sure. I can wait." Tiona grinned as she followed after the one-eyed adventurer.

//After my hiatus, my brain was in a slump this chapter. Maybe writers block? This one is gonna be rather short. I'll drop a long one in a few hours so no worries.

I just gotta get back on my grind.
