I Want a Hubby Like You

It was only early morning, and the guard who had been there for hours only took a short kidney break. Who would have thought that when he did, that was when someone had the audacity to cause trouble in the chain?

Noah saw the frightened child and the mother who was protecting her child. It seemed that the child tipped the soda and soaked the man with it. Then again, behaving like a madman so early in the morning?

When Noah turned to where the girl was, Rosanna wasn't there anymore. He brought his gaze back at the event and saw Rosanna walking up to the bad uncle. Noah had no choice but to leave his seat and keep the child from getting harmed.

"You little shit…" the man gritted his teeth. He was donned in a business suit, and he was only there because his client asked him to wait there. His immaculate white work shirt and his newly-pressed suit were now drenched in soda, and the client was on his way already.

"I'm so sorry, my son didn't mean it." The mother was protecting her son from the big man who could swat her unconscious. She knew that there was a chance that she was going to get struck.

"Hey! You don't have to be mean!" Rosanna ran to the mother's defense. She forgot to be afraid in the face of a way bigger person.

Then again, she had seen scarier things so a huge human wasn't anything terrifying to her. She just forgot that not all huge humans were scared to touch her.

"Hm? Who are you?" The man wanted to hit the woman to appease himself; however, someone else volunteered. It was just a small child, and even if it was illegal, the huge man was not going to hold back. "Get out of my way!"

His arm moved back to deliver a backhand strike at the child. However, someone grabbed his wrist, locking him in a loose choke hold using his own arm. The man was surprised, but the person then used his forearm to keep his back in place—the wrist being pulled back to a painful position.

"Fuck! Let me go!" The man tried to get away, but he couldnt even look over his shoulder to see the person's face.

"I will, but you need to leave." Noah didn't want to let off the man, but it was a public place. At least, if the man wanted revenge, he would chase Noah to an alley and be killed by the master killer.

"You think you can threaten me?!" The man tried to break free again, but Noah kicked one of his legs. It was so hard that the man groaned and collapsed. He felt his arm released, but he could only brace for the impact. His entire leg felt like it was broken, but he didn't cry.

Noah only walked past him and pulled Rosanna gently away from the man's reach. He then had her behind him as the man moved his head to glare at Noah's face. The witch only stared at him, but his eyes were so cold that it made the man shiver.

The man was dubbed as cruel and brutal, but Noah… his eyes were so cold that he seemed to be Death himself. The man got to sit up and was about to threaten Noah when the guard came inside. He then pointed at Noah, his eyes glinting in victory, "That man kicked me!"

"He was being mean." Noah scoffed and cued Rosanna to leave with him. He didn't want to stay in the place anymore, and so he picked up all their bags with just one hand. If the man wanted to die, let him chase and court Death.

"Let's go!" Rosanna extended her hand to the mother, but the mother only backed away. The girl was confused, but Noah only took hold of her arm and guided her outside.

"Noah, why didn't they come with us?" Rosanna held onto the man's hand, her eyes on her small hand she reached out earlier. Was her hand dirty? Was it greasy?

"Some people are not that courageous. Just learn to size your enemy properly before attacking… no matter how mean they are." Noah only hummed, and the girl bowed her head as if avoiding his gaze. "Next time, don't jump out like that. I still need to move before I get to you."

"Sorry, Noah."

"Accepted."

Rosanna looked up at him and stared at his young-looking handsome face. Those curtains of fringe and hair were hiding a rather attractive face underneath. The more she stared at him, the more she felt like she was being swept off of her feet.

Earlier, Noah was so cool and calm. He didn't see the man as anything worth his time, and he was so strong to take down such a huge human. Her daddy was so scary and would cause chaos wherever he went, but Noah was very cool like a night breeze.

"Noah, when I grow up, I want a hubby like you…" Rosanna spoke up and didn't realize what she just said until seconds later. Her face exploded in red, but she didn't want to stop staring and continue humiliating herself.

"Really?" Noah looked over his arm to meet Rosanna's gaze, and he chuckled at her with a wide smile. "Then, make sure he's into girls, or else he'll just date another boy."

The smile was mesmerizing, but Noah seemed to have said something weird.

Before she could figure it out, Noah had walked her out of the mall and back to their motorbike. He stuffed their bags in the bike's box before pulling her up to sit. When she was putting on her helmet, she spotted the huge man walking towards them.

She made a small gasp, but Noah only placed his helmet and got on his motorbike. "Hold on."

The girl clutched at the side of his shirt, and Noah finally gave the man a look.

"You! Don't think you can escape—!"

Just as he said so, Noah dangerously swerved his bike as he suddenly drove past the huge man. The man cursed as he pulled himself away, but his rage erupted when Noah circled him twice before leaving the parking lot.

"I'll have your head!"

Rosanna only shut her eyes and clutch tightly at Noah's shirt. She was scared that something might happen to Noah and Mephy might not be able to save them. This girl didn't know that Noah was a professional killer and could defend himself even against twenty huge men like that guy. If there were thirty of them, he could call on his hellhounds.

So in the event that that man was actually someone of a large-scale syndicate, he could only cry for getting in conflict with Sleepydog.

Rosanna was jumping up and down while watching her hair bounce with her skirt. She was wearing a baby blue sailor dress that just got out of the dryer. Noah laundered everything they bought and had them dry after spinning them for a while.

Now, Rosanna had new clothes to change into. She also had cute undies she didn't want Noah to touch.

However, she couldn't operate the machine on her own.

She then began running around the unit while Noah was sleeping on the couch. They had expensive TV and home theater, but the owner only slept in his free time. Rosanna then stood next to the couch and stared at Noah's face.

"Noah, can I watch TV?" She was worried that Noah would chase her out, but she wanted to experience everything in the house.

Noah groggily got up and reached for the remote. He fiddled with it to turn on the TV and slowly scanned the channels until they reached a cartoon. With a 'thank you', he got back where he was lying on to nap. However, he rolled onto his side so Rosanna could sit on the couch.

The child took up the offer and sat on the vacant space. She then turned to her side to watch Noah nap; he seemed to be more interesting than the cartoon. Soon, she began watching while scooting closer to him, her back against his stomach. She only found it strange that Noah's abdomen was so firm when her mother's tummy was so soft.

Aside from that happening in the morning, the vacant day seemed to be quite a slow and quiet one. Noah and the hellhounds were asleep most of the day while Rosanna ended up napping next to him as well. He ended up bringing her on top of him as she almost fell off earlier.

When dinner time came, Noah only called for a delivery. He was browsing his phone for Laquisha's messages he didn't answer because he chose to sleep. Rosanna was eating on her own as she was taught how to do so. She then watched Noah's expression as he went through all the pretty woman's messages.

"Who are we meeting tomorrow, Noah?"

"My clients." Noah glanced at her before bringing down the phone and focused on eating. "Don't worry. You don't need to be so stiff. Just stick close to me, and you'll be fine."

"Okay…" Rosanna nodded and ate. She had enough reason to believe him now.

However, Noah was left to watch her from his peripheral vision. When he started hunting Bomberman, would she be able to hold on her own?
