6 Chapter 4 – Tohru’s good and supportive cousin and Kyo’s shy little sister

Third person POV

 At lunchtime, Roxas bought some ham and cheese sandwiches and a bottle of water and went to the school rooftop to eat with Tohru and her friends. But upon arriving there, he saw them talking to another boy. It was Tomoaki Jose Raudel-Honda, or for short, Tomoaki Honda, and he was Tohru's maternal cousin. Unlike Tohru's other cousins, Tomoaki is nice, understanding, sympathetic, supportive, kind, and has many more positive traits. He is a half-Filipino, half-Japanese with Spanish descent on his father's side. Roxas was very surprised to see him because he was one of the first fanfic characters he had written and made up back in his previous life. At this time, Arisa and Saki are not there.

 So, taking this opportunity, he approached him and the others. "Hi there!" Tohru, Tomoaki, and the others then looked at him.

 "Who are you?" Tomoaki asked.

 "Oh! That's Roxas Hamasaki," Yuki said to him, "or Ro-kun for short."

Then to Roxas. "Ro-kun, this is Tomoaki Honda. He is Honda-san's cousin, and he is supportive and kind to her unlike most in his family."

 "Nice to meet you, Ro-kun." Tomoaki offered Roxas a handshake.

Roxas then accepted it. "Nice to meet you, too, Tomoaki-kun."

Roxas pretends not to know him so he can hide his true identity for the most part.

 Shortly thereafter, they all sat down and eat lunch together, chatting to each other about their daily lives. Luckily and thankfully, the goddess of reincarnation gave Roxas new memories of his childhood in his new life, so he was able to share some of that new, elaborated memories with them. One of those memories is when Roxas, as an 11-year-old boy, went with his family to see Mount Fuji during a summer holiday. Tohru, Tomoaki, and their friends are very happy to hear about that good experience, and most of them wished they could see that beautiful place.

 "Sure, you can," Roxas happily replied back.

He then finished eating his sandwich.

 And then, Roxas looked at one corner, only to see a girl with dark orange hair and orange eyes sitting behind Kyo. Upon peeking, he was surprised to see that it was Asae Sohma, the younger sister of Kyo and another dog of the zodiac alongside Shigure. She was the second fan fic character Roxas had written and made back in his previous life.

 "Is that…?? Roxas asked Kyo about her.

 "Oh, this girl?" Kyo turned around at Asae. "This is my younger sister, Asae. She's very shy."

Roxas remembered writing her as a shy girl who was afraid of boys.

 "Asae-chan," Kyo said to her. "Say hi to our new friend."

Asae startled and turned around. "Don't tell me it's another boy, oni-chan."

 "Yes, he is. But he is nice."

Then, Asae completely turned around to see Roxas. "Hi there…"

She was shy as a kid.

 "Oh, nice to meet you, too," Roxas happily greeted back. "My name is Hamasaki Roxas, Asae-chan."

He offered her a handshake.

And so, Asae became a bit more open to him so she accepted it. "Yeah, nice to meet you, too. Are you going to hug me?"

 "What? No, why?" Roxas asked, pretending to not know the zodiac curse.

 "It's because she, Kyo-kun, and Yuki-kun are…" Tohru responded before stopping to hide something.

She then turned to Kyo and Yuki. "Should I?"

Kyo and Yuki gave her their consent to tell Roxas about the zodiac with the condition that he has to keep it a secret.

Tohru gets it and continues. "Ro-kun, they had the zodiac animal curse, especially Asae-chan."

 "Oh, okay then." Roxas scratched his head a bit.

 "Yes, can you keep this a secret?" Tomoaki asked Roxas.

Roxas then readily nodded. "Yes, I will."

To that Tohru, Tomoaki, and the others sighed in relief, knowing that Roxas will be trusted to keep the zodiac animal curse a secret.
