Life doesn't give us what we expect. Life gives us what pleases it. You may want blue, it will give you black. You may want gold. It will give you bronze. Life is not fair. We are not fair anyways.

My name is Mimi Brian. There is nothing special about me though my last name carried power, it's useless to me. yeah, am the prodigal daughter of Mr. Edward Brian, the true hairless of the G&B group of companies. I lost that right when my father threw my mom and me out of his life. We began to feed for ourselves. This happens when I was barely 12. He said that am not his daughter. that my mom cheated on him with one of his rivals. But that's a bloody lie from the pit of hell but with the money, there is nothing my mom could do because everyone is in his favor so my mom and I ended up in the streets.

All the dreams I had then, shattered before my eyes.

Today is even the worst day of my life. My mom, she's sick and dying, no money to save her. No one to help. God, I need a miracle. Please don't take her from me. she's all I have. Please, Lord, give me your miracle. Don't let her go.

"Mimi love". Mum whispers

" Say no more Mom, please you're not going to die ok. You're not going to leave me. Am going to meet Dad. He's going to help us, he's not that bad, right?" I cried

"Oh, Mimi. You have met him before and..."

"no Mom, I didn't see him. His guard did not allow me to pass. Maybe he's not around but he will be around today Mom. I will see him and he will help us. He's not that bad right?"

I did not even have the answer to my question. Have tried so many times to see him but to no avail. Will I see him this time? Will he see me this time? Will he help us this time?
