Chapter five the Saturday outing

It was very early on Saturday morning Tolu and her family gathered together as usual for morning devotion, junior was always the one to sing , the morning prayer was directed by her father ,as soon as the prayer was over , everyone took part in cleaning ,Chioma was to wash all the clothes while Tolu join her mother in the breakfast preparation,as soon as everything was ready the breakfast was served.it was breakfast of corn pap , akara and bread ,that was every Saturdays breakfast, everyone sit and eat together.Mrs kola ask the girls to rest for sometime after which lunch should be prepared they were to fellow the food list that was on the wall of the kitchen before it will be changed by tomorrow.

Mrs kola usual change the food list every Sunday morning ,the list was to ensure that the family obtain a balance diet everyday.

some hours later the girls got up in order to prepare lunch they were to prepare moi moi for lunch, Tolu was washing the beans while Chioma was preparing the Tomatoes,as soon as the preparation was made Tolu received a call "sister you have a call " junior handled the phone to Tolu.it was Nice calling

" sweetie are coming for outing today? don't tell me you are not coming"

" I'll, by three o clock "

" as far as you will come three o clock it's fine by me"

once it was three o'clock Tolu took permission from her mother to join her friends

"please be careful"here is some money for your upkeeps please manage it for this month" Tolu counted the money it was twenty thousand naira

"thank you Mom" she hurry up and change into something nice ,she wrapped in a beautiful red dress with black sandal coupled with small red bag , Nice came in

"hello Mom , good afternoon"

"hello daughter , looking for Tolu?

"yes Mom"

"she's in her room ,go check for her"

they both left the house together and walk for a few miles Nice stop

" Tolu let's wait for Johnny "

"is he coming with us ?

their was a red Ferrari heading to their direction.

"he's here" said Nice they entered into the car .As Johnny drive Tolu and Nice sang a song to cheer him up

" swing ...low sweet cha...riot come fast and carry me home "

Atlast they got to a super store were the girls bought some things and they continued their journey ,they went to an amusement park and then a cinema ,they bought lot of things and had lots of fun .

Johnny left them watching movie ,he got to a flower shop and ask for a bouquet of flower but was confused on which color to buy

" if you want to confess love here is red for passionate love, white for pure love ,pink for true love" the sales girl said to him

" I want the red "Johnny said

He took the flowers to Tolu and look straight into her eyes and said

" I have liked you for a long time ,I can't help but to fall deeply for you ,I love you Tolu , please be my girlfriend "

Tolu was speachless she turned to Nice who was smiling,so she decided to give him a try

" alright yes I will be your girl friend" hearing this word Johnny hug her "thanks, thanks"then he handled over the flowers to her,than they drove home Johnny drop the girls off and went home happily .he was happy not because of the fun they had but because he had confess his feelings to Tolu and response was the sweetest thing to him

"she said yes ,she said yes " was all that occupied his mind.

Tolu went home with the flowers Johnny gave to her happily "you bought flowers ? her mother ask immediately she saw her with the flowers

"no mom it's a gift"

"from my friend Johnny "

"whats your relationship with him? look Tolu I don't want you to involve in any relationship have I made myself clear?" with this she walked into her room. Tolu was sad, she had just accepted Johnny proposal she can't turn him down because of her mother,she really likes Johnny. she thought about it all throughout the night trying to figure out how to convince her mom.To Johnny was the happiest day Tolu was now his girlfriend lay on his bed than he decided to give Tolu a call before sleeping

"hello Tolu how are you ,do you know how make a happy person, I just want to hear your voice before sleeping "

" alright now you can sleep "

" no I can't ,sing for me please"

Tolu sang the little she knows

who sat and watched my infant time when sleeping on my cry to bed

She sing until Johnny fall asleep.
