The one who has no equal

2013, Switzerland

The Decennial meeting of the royal families from all around the world was held to discuss the new divination lists. Major families from different parts of the world attended the meeting. It was also an event to show off the wealth and might of the families. All sorts of luxurious events and competitions were also a part of the meeting to entertain the nobles.

The location of the meeting changed every time and this time a swiss family was the host of the event. It was customary for the head of a family and all his children to attend the meeting. Each family would also bring their finest warriors and they would compete against warriors of the other families.

The previous head of the host family was very obsessed with the Gladiators hence he had even built a mini-colosseum near his property. The meeting venue was a very isolated place that lied in a small valley covered by mountains with fairly thick forests.

The fights between the royal guards had always been the most sought after event by all the nobles. Especially the daughters of the noble families were greatly interested. While the meeting between the heads of the families was taking place inside the castle most of the other members of the families were gathered in the Colosseum.

"Orlando from the Lincoln family has won against them all, that's what you'd expect from the man who is called the strongest among the rank 1 fighters." The announcer exploded with excitement as the crowd cheered at the very large man standing near a bloodied up body. A man came running and whispered something into his ears and handed him a small piece of paper.

"But, wait," He said as he walked to a higher place." We have a new challenger. Will this new challenger be able to topple the absolute reign of Orlando in the arena or will he be squashed like a bug? let's welcome the new challenger. his name is-" as he opened the piece of paper he looked very puzzled but went on to announce the name, "-The man who has no equal,"

The crowd laughed at the announcement as the announcer scratched his head still looking at the paper. Amidst the crowd, a man who seemed to be in his 20's came running towards the railing to have a better look at the arena.

"Could he be? please don't let it be the young master," he anxiously stared at the entryway for the fighters.

The crowd turned silent as a figure walked into the arena. His slow but confident treading captured the crowd's attention right away. When he stood before the man he challenged to a fight, the difference in their body size was very contrasting. The challenger was only half the size of the champion.

"Is that a child? he looks like he is only 14." someone from the crowd stated.

"Oh no, young master, what are you doing?" The man in the crowd looked very distressed.

The boy who had been staring at the sky the whole time turned his gaze towards the crowd that seemed to be disappointed in him. Any individual whose eyes met his would lose their composure and the ability to form speech. The murmuring of the crowd gradually died down and instead a few cheers could be heard amidst the crowd.

The young daughters of some families had already fallen into his charm. He had very unique whitish blonde hair that seemed to be glowing in the sunlight. He confidently stood before a man twice his size and he was not even paying attention to the giant.

"What's a boy doing in the place of men?" Orlando spoke in his naturally loud voice. He had long curls which made him look even more barbaric.

"I just wanted to see what was so exciting about this. You beat another man senseless and claim glory. I find this very interesting," The young man said as he moved towards the markings made to indicate the starting position of the fighters.

"Well I'm not sure what's happening but the kid walked into the arena knowing what happens inside it, so let's just get it done with. After all, we do love seeing some blood don't we?" The announcer screamed and the crowd followed with their own roar.

"You know that people die in here right kid? I'm not gonna cut you any slack, be prepared to get pummeled,"

Orlando took on a very unique fighting stance. He used an ancient fighting style that was developed imitating the predatorial beasts. It was the perfect style for someone with outstanding physical capabilities like Orlando. It was also known to be the most brutal of all techniques and Orlando was the best in the entire world.

"There he goes," The caster screamed again, "look at that intimidating stance, look as he prepares to leap at his prey, Orlando is truly a beast in form of a man,"

The man in the crowd who looked distressed until now scoffed at the announcer and murmured to himself," You are about to see what a real beast looks like,"

Orlando leapt at the boy attempting to grab his body but the boy was too agile to be caught. He used Orlando's back as footing to somersault behind him and gracefully landed on his feet while Orlando was having trouble balancing his body. Orlando was not just big and strong, His fighting techniques were thoroughly developed to match any fighting style of the world. He was a full-fledged fighter who had bested the other fighters off of his knowledge rather than just pure strength. But the boy had just made a fool out of him.

"You just seemingly killed that man and these people cheered for you. That is something very new to m-"

BAM!!

While the boy was talking Orlando found an opening to strike him. He landed a full swing punch on his face that made his body fall and roll back a few times. The audience could tell it was a clean hit. With such strength and a big fist, it would not have been a surprise even if his head had rolled away from his body.

"But I've only been cursed at by onlookers," The boy stood up with shivering legs and a grin on his face, still talking. As he lifted his head the eyes of the two fighters properly met for the first time. Even with an uncontrollably bleeding nose and swollen eyes, he finished his sentence," Whenever I killed people,"

Orlando acted on impulse, "I must kill this thing before it kills me,"

He leapt towards the boy but his throat was crushed immediately, The boy's fist pushed against his windpipe making a horrifying sound. Orlando kneeled, grabbing his own neck, gasping and choking while blood burst out of his mouth. He writhed in pain and the whole crowd was silenced. A few gasps were heard from the crowd. ladies had covered their eyes and men were shaking.

After a minute of unbearable pain, he rolled his eyes and fell with his face down to the ground.

The boy grinned as he walked towards the corpse, looking around to see the shocked faces of the people.

"These people are so convinced. They believe the strong will always win. They believe that the strong are always on their side and they can do anything they want," he murmured to himself.

"Who is this kid?" the announcer screamed. He was so thrilled that his voice was shaking.

The boy just walked towards the exit with a grin on his pampered face. He had his own blood on his face but the blood of the defeated man on his fist. The crowd was left wondering what just happened as they still could not believe what they saw.

He was immediately accompanied by the man from the crowd as soon as he reached the exit.

"Master, What were you thinking?", He almost shouted.

The boy just kept walking.

Two men dressed like bodyguards joined them as they all walked through the crowd.

A rumour about a recent incident had just begun to spread among the crowd. Every person was talking about the incident that took place in supposedly the most powerful family among the noble families.

"Did you hear?"

"The head of the Olympus family was murdered."

"And for some reason, the previous head declared the murderer as the new head before dying himself."

"What? Why would he do that?"

"The Murderer is a kid, the bastard son of the head."

"So he killed his own father? I heard the body was cut into pieces."

A man saw the group silently brushing from the crowd and pointed towards the two men walking behind the boy.

"Aren't those two the ranked one guards from the Olympus family?"

"So that means, The boy they are following is-" The man was interrupted by a gaze from the boy he was talking about and before he knew it he was looking at the ground. It was a reflex, He could not meet the gaze for more than a second. The man felt like he was not supposed to look and if he did something horrific might happen. There was something supernatural about the boy.

"So this kid is the new head of the family." A tall man in a golden robe stood before the boy.

"What a shame upon the legacy of the royal dynasties and that too from the family that has stood at the pinnacle since centuries," The man stated while the boy was still looking at the bystanders who were talking about him.

"I, as one of the priests of the sanctuary shall punish this unworthy child"

He pointed the golden spear he had on his back towards the boy. The guards behind the boy were confused. They were supposed to protect the boy but the authority of the Priests of the sanctuary was absolute. The priests were the people who guided the dynasties and helped maintain peace among the families. They were the reason that the dynasties had not waged wars against each other.

Before the guards could react the priest shot his spear towards the boy which was evaded by the boy by just a swift tilt of his head. The priest was a very strong person. The training they went through to become a priest would make them capable in the body to fight any rank one warrior and on top of that, they were people who were selected for their exceptional minds.

Since the spear was thrown with great force it kept flying behind the boy. The spear was unnoticed by the two guards who were walking behind a little girl. They were looking at the left and right while the spear flew towards the little girl with great speed.

A few loud gasps from the crowd made the boy, his men and even the priest look to where the noise was coming from and what they saw was out of the ordinary in many ways.

The long spearhead was made of pure gold, and even though the Japanese Yari structure gave it a sleek look, it was made with heavy materials and was only supposed to be handled by the strongest of men. The spear was thrown by a very strong man and it carried a momentum that someone could not just stop without risking a serious injury. However, to everyone's surprise, the spear was caught and stopped on the track by a ten-year-old girl with one hand.

The spear had slid halfway through her little grip and her head was elegantly tilted away from the spear.

The boy could not take his eyes off of the little girl. She walked towards him elegantly with the heavy spear in her hand. Behind her followed the two men in traditional Korean attire and were panicking at what just happened.

The little girl was wearing a peach-coloured traditional Korean dress called Chima(skirt) covered by a white Dangui that had patterns designed with golden fabrics. Several different traditional ornaments of the highest quality were embedded in her clothes and her hair. Her slow elegant walk, Her poise, despite being so young she stood atop all those in the vicinity. She glowed in the eyes of all.

Two other people wearing the same dress as the priest who threw the spear appeared and scolded him "What are you doing? The affairs of the Olympus family has already been investigated and he has been accepted as the new head."

"Why would the sanctuary do so? This is outrageous" The first priest argued.

"The new Divination list has just been updated, take a look, your spear just targeted the very people who you might be serving in the future." The priest said hinting at the first one to look at his phone.

In the past, the List used to be sent in form of letters and scrolls, now it was sent to all the members of the dynasty via email. The list was published a few minutes ago and all the people were already reading it.

"So Davidson's name has finally been taken off the list, what a relief. To think that one of the strongest contenders was that madman who opposed the sanctuary."

"There have been several changes in the top twenty,-- wait, what the hell is this?"

A man noticed something unusual in the list.

"Look at the Divinity score of the top fifteen,"

The priest looked as well. The Divinity score was a measure of how powerful a person might be if they awakened. The list had been dominated by Davidson for two decades with one of the highest scores so far.

"All of the top fifteen have scores that are greater than or similar to what Davidson had"

This caused a huge uproar in the crowd as this had never happened before.

"Wait, There's something more- There are two more names at the bottom,"

The priest looked at his fellow priests as one of them began explaining.

"This year's top fifteen is actually top seventeen as a whole, we had to separate the other two because they are just so different."

The first priest could not believe what he was looking at, "A-Are these scores real? are you sure nothing went wrong during the assessment?" He said as he fumbled.

"Jeo Yoonah of the Dangun Dynasty, Leroy Olympus of the Olympus family, Their score is ten times higher than the others," One of the men shouted as he nervously stole glances of the boy who wasn't aware of what was going on.

"Even before the awakening has happened, These two already exhibit the traits of superhuman at such a young age," one of the priests said, "Such humans have never existed over centuries, and the other ten also have scored off the charts. If the awakening were to occur for this generation, one of these two will rule the world,"

The two kids in the question were right before their eyes, the girl was slowly walking towards the priest with a spear she should not have been able to lift as comfortably as she was doing.

The priest who had thrown the spear got on his knees. In front of him, he could see the back of the boy he tried to kill and a little kid with divine presence walking towards him. His outlook on the boy he considered a reject had completely changed with the announcement.

People were taking turns looking at each of the two kids. A fierce beast and a gentle Goddess, they emanated a very contrasting presence. While people found themselves averting their eyes away from the boy out of inexplicable fear, they just could not take their eyes off of the girl.

The onlookers went back and fro between whether to be mesmerised by her presence or point out what she just pulled off just a moment ago.

"Argus," The boy called, with the widest grin on his face still not looking anywhere but into the eyes of the little girl walking towards his direction.

Argus lowered his head to listen to what his master had to say.

"She is not looking down or away," He said and Argus looked to see what he was talking about only to be shocked when he finally understood what he meant, "Even after looking at me for so long, she hasn't averted her eyes. She does not fear me, I can't tell what she thinks of me. Is she not scared?"

Argus did not have an answer to that. There has never been anyone who could look at him in the eyes until now. Argus always believed he was born to be something great and no one else would match up to him in the future. The little girl was making him waver.

Leroy's eyes kept following her as she walked past him. She looked at him but did not show any particular interest.

"Even though the boy has a higher score than her, she is not to be ruled out as the contender," one of the priests said as he noticed that the girl intended to interact with the priest whose spear she was carrying.

The girl stopped in front of the priest who was on his knees and handed him the spear.

"You could have seriously hurt someone," She said, bowed slightly as a means of courtesy and kept walking.

The priest could only nod. Even though she was a noble, he did not have to be polite given his own position. Even as a child her voice held such authority he could not muster himself to talk back. Just as expected from someone chosen by divinity.

"Argus" Leroy called again, his eyes glowing the way that Argus had only seen once. It was right before he killed his father to claim the position of the head of the family.

With his eyes stuck on the back of the Dangun princess walking away from him, a greedy smile appeared on his face as he declared, "That girl will grow up to be the woman that I must make mine no matter what."

Present Time

Leroy Olympus, One of the wealthiest men on the planet, was seated behind his desk at the top of the tallest building in the city.

"What are these?" He called his secretary to ask about the baskets lying on his desk.

"From your fans sir, One of them is from Mia" The secretary nervously answered keeping her eyes down.

Leroy was not only one of the wealthiest businessmen but his influence over the youth all over the world was immense. He had fans and supporters on par with the greatest of the artist on the planet. He had been called as the "Most handsome man of the century", "Sexiest man alive", "Most loved man of the century" and by many other names.

"Who's Mia?" He asked without looking at her.

"The actress sir, she won multiple awards this year," She said stealing glances at the man who looked like a painting.

His sleek white-blonde hair looked as if it was illuminated, his calm composure with the face that would be the epitome of masculine beauty was irresistible.

"I hate chocolates, She should have done more research on me." He said as he picked up the chocolate box. The secretary realized that he was holding the most precious kind of chocolate in his hands.

She flinched as Leroy threw the chocolates next to her. Leroy rarely showed any negative emotions, he wasn't known to ever be seen sad, frustrated or angry and was known to have a very calm demeanour.

She couldn't tell if he was really angry as he got up from his chair and walked towards the window to stare at the sky with a blank expression on his face.

Before The secretary could excuse herself out of the room, Leroy's phone beeped. It was a unique sound that he had saved only for the messages sent by Argus that compelled him to take a look at it. When the screen on his phone turned on, major voltage spikes on multiple electric power lines across the continent occurred. The lights on his office flickered. It almost looked like a disaster was about to happen but just within a few seconds, everything went under control.

The secretary looked around in panic before her eyes fell on Leroy. Small electric sparks formed around his body, metallic objects near him were floating in the air and he had a big smile on his face.

"Find out if I just caused any damage and compensate where necessary," He instructed as he picked up one of the pieces of chocolate he threw earlier. He put it in his mouth and walked outside the door.

"Chocolates aren't so bad after all,"

The secretary had good eyes so she clearly saw the contents of the message Leroy had received.

"She's alive." The message said and below it was a picture of Ivanna.
