Tisit Online

Lennon is the number one player in a dying VRMMORPG game called Tisixa Online. However, the game suddenly announces its discontinuation. Instead, the developers created another game, called Tisit Online, which immediately became a world-wide sensation. Our protagonist, Lennon, noticed that the trailer for Tisit Online was a recreation of certain locations in Tisixa. After realising this, he quickly formulates a plan to dominate the world of Tisit Online. --- The cover does not belong to me, credits to the original artist, DM if you want me to take it down. also posted on royalroad

Hidden Boss (1)

Lennon started to sort out the loot they had obtained from the orc's treasury.

- 127 gold coins

- 16 precious herbs

- 25 different weapons

- 14 strength beads

- 12 precious crafting material

Out of all the loot, there were only a couple items which actually caught Lennon's eye. The 127 gold coins was definitely a big gain, as just 1 gold coin is worth 100 silver coins and would be enough for a decent weapon.

Most players only had the 20 copper coins which they started off with, and 20 copper coins is only a fifth of a silver coin. Lennon could now be considered the richest player in the entire game, but there were still other things to sort through.

<Orc's Robe>

- Made by a dwarven blacksmith for his orc friends, contains the energy of the earth

- When equipped, grants +2 Agility, +1 Strength and +1 Vitality

- Is able to completely conceal the user's face

<Elemental Gauntlets>

- A pair of gauntlets made out of an unknown metal

- When equipped, grants +2 Strength

- The gauntlet is able to be infused with an element through contact, and will increase the damage dealt by the element by 50%

<Exquisite Grimoire>

- The first grimoire crafted by a renowned magic swordsman, it was not well crafted

- When equipped, skills will cost 2% less MP

- Grants a 50% physical damage bonus

These were the only useful equipment out of most of the loot. There were two <Orc's Robe>s, which would be perfect for him and Tabsi. He had picked out the <Elemental Gauntlets> specifically for Tabsi, while he would be using the <Exquisite Grimoire>. The grimoire didn't actually have any spells in it, presumably because it was created by a magic swordsman, who probably focused on attacking instead of the magic part.

"Skills menu, I'll buy the skill <Combat Styles - Books>"

<You have acquired the skill [<Combat Styles - Books> Lv. 1]>

[<Combat Styles - Books> Lv. 1]

- Part of the <Combat Styles> series, allows you to be more proficient in wielding books as a weapon

- 100% damage increase while wielding a book

<Cooldown time: none>

After equipping the grimoire, Lennon gave it a couple swings and felt like he was becoming more proficient in it, although it did look quite silly.

"Tabs, take these"

Lennon took the gauntlets and one of the robes out from his inventory and handed it over to Tabsi.

"I knew you would give those to me! I wanted to try them on when we were in the treasury, but you wouldn't let me"

While in the treasury, Tabsi was about to equip the gauntlets, which would destroy their image as purely being 'humble emissaries'. Lennon quickly messaged her to stop, and the crisis was swiftly averted.

"Alright! Let's go farm some beads!"

A guild is an association of players, or comrades. They would play together, fight together, hunt together and laugh together. But that's usually only the case for smaller guilds, the bigger guilds have way too many members, and only the ones with talent are even remembered. The rest can only hide in the shadows while making the talented ones shine even brighter.

Guilds could be said to be an essential part of gameplay, unless you are a solo player, everyone wants to join a guild. Back in Tisixa, there were barely any guilds, and a guild which contains over twenty players is considered huge. Of course, that was because the number of plays was tiny, but the guilds system had been completely reworked in Tisit.

A week after the launch of Tisit Online, guilds were already starting to solidify their position in the hierarchy, which can be seen by the guild leaderboard. The rankings of guilds are based on several things, such as the average level of players, the number of leaderboard players, the feats they have achieved, the death rates of the players and many more.

<Guild Leaderboard>

1. Entirely - USA

2. Rutenberg - France

3. Gorde - South Korea

4. Gongsuo - China

5. Twenties - South Korea

6. Muromachi - Japan

7. Yousuo - China

8. Eagles - USA

9. Royals - England

10. Chaos - USA

The leaderboard showed the top 100 guilds in the world, and the 93rd guild is called 'Functions'. Currently, there are tens of thousands of guilds, though most of them are still in the process of forming and gathering players. The ones who manage to do this process quickly will get a headstart. And 'Functions' was one of those guilds.

The guild had one ranker, which was the guildmaster himself who recruited couple skilled players he had met along the way. The guild grew through just recruiting a bunch of people who they saw potential in, and was currently boasting a whole 138 members. One of them is a player called 'Asada'.

Asada is a hard-working player, he has a bit of talent, and managed to get to level 20 within five days. While the rank one player on the leaderboard, Erynxx, is in the mid-40s, level 20 is considered above average. He had managed to join the guild through a scout and got himself a position as a tank.

His class is the 'Paladin', which he obtained after completing a chain of quests given from the church. It's considered a good tanking class and sought-after by many guilds. Currently, he was gathered in the guild hall with his raid team.

"Alright, that's enough chit chat, listen up"

The captain of the raid team, a level 26 Berserker named SirBand, was someone who was really close to getting on the leaderboard. Everyone just calls him Band.

"Today, we'll be heading to the Hollow Swamps. I got a tip from a reliable dude that there's a hidden boss located there. I already know where to find it, so you guys just have to follow me"

The team members were roused up.

"A hidden boss? Don't they give a lot of rare drops?!"

"Damn, I can finally upgrade my equipment after this"

"They also give a ton of experience right?"

"But aren't they really difficult?"

"Settle down! The boss' level is only in the early 20s, so it should be easy as long as we concentrate hard. The reward will be distributed evenly by the system depending on the damage you dealt and absorbed! So everyone gets a fair share!"

"WHOOOOO!"

"Not only that, we'll also be getting the first kill! So even more rewards!"

"YEAHH"

The team members started cheering in unison, a proud smile appeared on Band's face. Today, his team will be able to breakthrough to the next level, he might even become an official ranker today.

"Alright, the Hollow Swamps aren't that far, but we'll just be using the guild's teleportation circle. Here's 90 copper coins each"

Each guild house had an option of constructing a teleportation circle, which would cost a load of money. On top of that, you still needed money to use the circle, the amount depended on how far you wanted to travel.
