<Breakthrough Quest>

- A storyteller spreads the tales of myths and legends far and wide. Yet storytellers of Tisit gather these stories through their own experiences.

[Quest Requirements]

- Survive for ten minutes against a legend

The better your class is, the harder the ascension quests are. Even though the quest requirement was to survive for ten minutes against a legend, you could outdo the requirement. If you slay the legend, you will receive maximum rewards, but if you die before the time limit, you won't receive any rewards.

Lennon knew this fact perfectly well, and was aiming to receive maximum rewards. Though the only problem is that the quest was a bit more difficult than he imagined it to be.

A legend, or a myth, it was a term which referred to legendary creatures in Tisixa. Legendary creatures were the elites amongst the strongest creatures in Tisixa and Tisit. A legend could be an ancient dragon, an elder hydra, a mutated kraken or a giant king. There aren't too many creatures which can be classified as legends.

But they all have one thing in common, they are all extremely powerful in their own rights, second to only the angels and demons. To survive for ten minutes against one at level one hundred was hard, but not impossible.

However, slaying one at level one hundred? That was something near impossible. Lennon knew he could probably somehow do it, but the odds were definitely against him and he had no idea how he would go about it. He could just try surviving for as long as possible to get better rewards, but he wouldn't be satisfied with just that.

It should be noted that all quests are designed to be possible, especially quests even by the system. They take the individual's overall skill into consideration and create a quest that will challenge them, that is why it is called a breakthrough quest. It's not a quest just so you can achieve level 101, but to actually breakthrough to the next level in your own sense.

Since a breakthrough quest focuses on one's class, the key to achieving maximum rewards would lie in Lennon's class skills. He still had a bit of skill points left over from levelling up, so he decided now would be the best time to invest them all into his skills. He hadn't been levelling up a certain skill for a while now, and it had stayed at level one.

[<Unheard Tales> Lv 1 -> Lv 2]

- Increases duration by 0.1 second (s)

(Upgrade cost: 1 skill point)

He had around forty skill points saved up, so he decided to invest some into this skill to see how it would be after it levelled up, currently, it looked like this.

[<Unheard Tales> Lv. 1]

- A unique buff which can only be applied to the owner of the skill and one other player

- By telling the tales which had been unheard of until now, the 'Tales' buff will be applied on either the owner, another player or both.

- The skill duration is one second

Tales Buff:

- Grants +50 Defence

- Grants +45 Agility

- Grants +15 Intelligence

<Cooldown time: 12 seconds >

After upgrading it until it evolved at level 7, it now looked like this.

[<Untold Chronicles> Lv. 7]

- A unique buff which can only be applied to the owner of the skill and one other player

- By telling the tales which had been unheard of until now, the 'Chronicles' buff will be applied on either the owner, another player or both.

- The skill duration is 1.7 seconds

Tales Buff:

- Grants +52 Defence

- Grants +48 Agility

- Grants +17 Intelligence

- Grants +6 Luck

<Cooldown time: 10 seconds >

The duration had increased while the cooldown time had decreased, but Lennon was astonished purely because of one thing. Luck was added as a stat in the buff, and it granted a whole 6 luck stat points. Obtaining 6 luck points is something no one had ever done, even in Tisixa. Lennon only had three stat points back then, and he was already considered insanely lucky.

To put it into comparison, having 5 luck stat points is enough to win the lottery. So, having 6 luck stat points, even if just for a second, could basically turn a fight around. But now, he would have it for more than a second and a half, but a legend can't be underestimated.

Although Lennon would get a sudden stroke of luck, as well as a bunch of extra stats every ten seconds, legends are very tough. The weakest legend was at least level five hundred, and it is incredibly hard to level up after level one hundred, so level five hundred is extremely strong. The strongest of legends can go up to level two thousand, and some even transcend that.

Being a breakthrough test for a level one player, the legend can't be that strong. For this reason, Lennon was feeling a little bit more confident, and he still had some skill points left to use during the fight. He had also prepared a couple of high grade potions, though hopefully he wouldn't need to use them.

He thought back to the fight with the Demonic Wyvern, it would be great if he had the <Blessing of Water> skill, but after purchasing the <Water Shield> skill and levelling it up, it was still not that great.

[<Water Shield> Lv 5]

- Consume 50 MP to cover yourself in a coating of water

- The water coating will decrease damage of the fire attribute by 75%

- The skill lasts for 45 seconds

<Cooldown time: 10 seconds>

He couldn't hope for the world to save him again this time, as it is impossible for a higher being to intervene in a system quest. This is as a system quest takes place in a different world made by the system.
