Time passes.

Meanwhile Asuka gets married to the king and sires a few children. All part of my plan to seamlessly take over the kingdom.

Obviously I didn't control her to have sex with the king. Technically I didn't even have her touch him. I just used magic to put him to sleep and give him the dream of the wildest sex in his life.

To get Asuka pregnant, I simply made another human vessel and had them copulate.

After giving birth to 3 children, queen Asuka lived 5 years, then died suddenly of illness. I didn't have need for the Asuka role anymore, so I got rid of her. Her 3 children grew up, healthy and strong.

30 years passed since I came to this kingdom. The king is already getting old and should pass his throne down soon. So it's finally time to take over.

This is one of the benefits of Immortality. Even if your plans take decades to accomplish, you don't care. Time is something I have in spades.

First I get the king to make one of Asuka's children the heir to the throne. Specifically her eldest son. Then I quietly get rid of the king.

Once the king is dead and the throne up for grabs, I manipulate the court to make a safe passage for the heir. Up until the coronation.

When the heir finally takes the throne, I take up my position as the prime minister.

After another 50 years the current king dies (This being Asuka's son now). By that time I have controlled the court to such an extent that I simply take the throne.

Now I have seamlessly usurped the kingdom, without a single disquieting voice. A perfect takeover.

The last kings regin was full of war. This was largely due to my influence. I wanted to stockpile resources for the time of my ascension to the throne. What better way to do that, than to take it from others.

In 50 years the kingdom of Eridia has gone from a small wealthy country. To a medium sized wealthy country, with a strong military.

....

....

The coronation.

I walk through the castle hallways, escorted by two knights, fully armored, on each side.

Dressed in a royal garb, I'm wearing a black dress, with golden decorations, that opens up into a long skirt at the bottom half. The dress exposes my upper arms and a bit of my bust. On top of the dress, I'm wearing a snow white, animal fur mantle and my pale blonde hair is done into an elegant updo.

I walk up to the doors of the audience hall and stop. The 2 big doors are then opened for me and I continue my walk.

In the audience hall, a row of knights are waiting for me on either side. They are holding up their spears, creating a sort of tunnel for me to pass through, to get to the throne.

On the side, ministers and other nobles are watching this event. This event is also broadcasted to the people of my kingdom through a magic projector.

I soon reach the throne, then turn around. Briefly gazing at the audience and sit down. Each of my movements are slow, purpesful and calm. It's a natural, charismatic sort of calm, born from strength. The kind of calm that an apex predator has.

"May the coronation of Eridias 32nd king, begin!" A man in a pope robe announces. He is the one who will be putting the crown on my head. Even in this country, the church is deeply tied with the government.

The coronation lasts for about 10 minutes. The pope does different rituals that are the costum to this country. I even have to swear to a god, who I could easily kill...

"All hall the new king. Artoria Pendragon!" The pope announces. The rituals end and the pope puts the crown on top of my head. He tries to give me a staff or a stick, that's given to the king, but I refuse it, shocking him.

I have no need for a stick. I brashly nudge the pope away to the side and stand up. Then summon my sword, Excalibur Morgan.

The people in the hall wince slightly, when they lay eyes on the sword. It is after all, a corrupted holy sword. Normal people feel pressured in it's aura, even though I'm suppressing it as much as possible. At the same time, it's beauty draws many gazes...

"Heed my words!" I stand in front of the throne, holding the sword in front of me with both hands, pointed down. The scabbard the sword is sheathed in is protecting the ground from death.

"For the last 50 years our country has known war after war. It has been glorious! We have gone from a small insignificant country, to one capable of standing up for itself." I deliver my speech with the firmness befit of a warrior king.

"However these times of war will come to an end. After all..." I pause and smirk. "With all the treasures we have amassed with these wars, we need to put them to use, building and strengthening our country. Starting with the reconstruction of the palace." *Bang* I announce, as I slam my sword, creating a metallic boom. Many people are shocked with my declaration.

"That is all." I speak and end the coronation, sitting back on the throne.

The pope gets unceremoniously shoved out of the way by Piscalat, almost flying away. Who then takes the stand at the right side of my throne. Being my right hand, she will take up the position of the prime minister.

As she has been my right hand for the past 80 years, the job is already familiar to her.

The people in the hall start whispering and leaving. While this is happening, sitting back comfortably on the throne, I talk to Piscalat.

"The construction for the new city and palace has already started, yes?" I ask, gazing at her from my side.

"Yes, your majesty." Piscalat responds with an amused tone. I don't say anything to her way of addressing me though. Instead I sigh, thinking about home.

"I haven't returned home in over 50 years now. Carrera hasn't visited me as well. It's been 40 years since I last saw her..." I mutter my thoughts out loud.

"Is it really such a problem? With our ages, 50 years is like a month to humans." Piscalat responds with a straight face. Not caring for my longing for home.

"My only complaint is that you didn't let me participate in the wars..." She mutters.

"We're walking natural disasters to these humans. Of course I won't allow you to participate." I respond with attitude.

"*Sigh* Should we get to work on your holy knights project?" She sighs and asks.

"Sure." I respond.

We walk out of the audience hall and into the kings office.

The holy knights project she mentioned is an idea I had to train up promising people and have them serve me as generals. It's an idea to increase our strength and create more subordinates that we can dish out our work to.

So far I've only found one person worth my time. She's a girl who calls herself Esdeath.

She rose to prominence during the wars and got promoted thanks to her strength and talent. She caught my eyes, so I reached out to her and started training her. She's not yet even close to a powerhouse, but she sure does have the potential to become one.

"Is there no one else, that has caught your eye?" Piscalat asks me, as she examines Esdeaths profile.

"No. The rest are either not that talented, or not interested in getting stronger..." I respond.

"Hmm. Well we will find some more in the future." Piscalat muses.

"We will start the selective breeding project ahead of scedule. Start the base construction now." I inform her, taking out a thick stack of documents.

"Why now?" She asks.

"Because I said so." I respond without looking at her.

We continue to work and discuss various things. Now that I'm king, there will be big changes and subsequently a lot of work.

Humans are creatures of comfort. Now that the country is very wealthy and prosperous, corruption will settle in. People have no drive to push forwards, as life is good. I need to change that and light a fire under my citizens asses. Otherwise this empire will fall in the future. A constant cycle of chaos and stability...

The current chapters are quite rushed. These are set up chapters for what I have in mind further on.

I have no desire to go into the details of her usurping the kingdom, nor the details of running it...
