The way to the main-camp Pt.2

Storm and Birdy took an hour nap while Grace and Jolin took turns taking 30 min naps. Once everyone rested for a bit and had partially digested their meals for the night, they walked in the middle of the night. Having ran and walked all day, it only seemed right that they would walk now since it was dark anyways.

4 miles into their night trip, Birdin suddenly whistled an alarm. Grace caught up to him while Jolin and storm hid behind some think Trees. As Grace quietly joined Bird, he told her the news.

Birdin: " I know this seems impossible, but I have spotted a team camping 100 meters from our location. What's interesting is, it doesn't seem like it's from our pre-camp."

Grace: "That makes sense, I am pretty sure were are the #1 team that's ahead from our Pre-camp. The fact that we have encountered a possible team from another pre-camp means that other pre-camps are doing the same as ours."

Bird: "As long as we don't startle them and just pass by, we should be fine. We also don't know how many other teams are there and if they have any dangerous instructions. I knew this couldn't be that easy. Let's not meet them in case they think we are enemies or something."

Just as Bird had finished talking, Grace senses something wrong. She senses a shadow moving closer to their location. Perhaps, they heard Birds call of alarm. She motioned to bird to hid quickly and pointed in the shadows direction. At the same time the camp fire from the unknown team, was suddenly turned off. It seemed company had arrived to their side too. Once the shadow saw this, he decided to go back and help his/her teammates. Bird and Grace made it back to Jolin and storm. They both informed them of the situation. They all decided to get the heck out of there before they got brought in to something they weren't even sure of. They slowly and sneakily started to make their way away from this but ahead of. They started to hear fighting sounds and when they were at a safe distance they decided to take one last peek. Since it was dark, they couldn't really see anything but could imagine the scene. Although they had no proof, Grace thought that based on the clothing parts she could see from afar, it was possible this was a different team from a different pre-camp. They just didn't know how far they had traveled and how far ahead or behind that team was from their bulk of competent teams. One thing was for sure, it seemed it was already more dangerous since those other teams were openly attacking each other. Grace and her team were glad they were ahead and wouldn't have to deal with this from their pre-camp teams. They also weren't sure if member teams from different camps would honor the separation and not attack them.

Little did they know, that amongst that group would be an important person they would meet later. Someone they would be destined to interact with and become close with.

Once Birdin found the right path again they decided to charge ahead and get ahead as soon as possible. They continued all night in full alert and were like zombies by the time they arrived. Apparently, they had set a record time from their pre-camp. Everything they did was nearly perfect. From the important things they carried and the devices they used, to avoiding and finding their right paths and coming back safely. Albeit, they were sleep deprived, but they were finally inside the processing tent of said camp and could finally rest. All night they had encountered cries of battles and cries. It was almost a nightmare. At one point they found a body and couldn't believe their eyes. While they were the first from their precamp, that didn't mean other precamps hadn't started earlier from them and were in a savage competition. They were again realizing how important this camp was. They never though someone would kill a person just to get a spot though. They were shaken and battered. They tended to their feet and slept like babies for the full day. On the next day, they were giving new and official uniforms to the Camp and taken to their quarters.

Each Cabin had 6 rooms two Bathrooms and two restrooms. Each "Village" consisted of 2 cabins and one main cabin that served as the villages' Kitchen and laundry room etc. Grace and Jolin picked the Taurus village as their temporary place, and went into one of the empty cabins. They weren't going to get separated. Birdy and Storm decided to follow them even if they thought they would most likely get split. However, it didn't hurt to try their luck or at least make contacts, after all, they all had endured the horrible cries in the night. As the 3rd day ended, their cabins got filled and everyone seemed to have arrived. They were glad to see one of the girl teams from their pre-camp had arrived safely, however they didn't dare look at all the villages since they weren't friends with them and their curiosity wasn't that high.

The other two people that joined their cabin kept to themselves and mainly slept on the remainder hourse they had left. They looked absolutely spent while Grace and Jolin's team where fresh from the extra day they had saved. The four of them went to the equipment Cabin at one end of the Camp and grabbed their other 6 uniforms. And after they brought them back, they went and explored some of the equipment shops and grabbed some other equipment provided to them. They also got a couple of locks and took the rest of the time to meet some new people and places that they would have to know about sooner or later. Because they had come in first and set a record from their pre-camp, they obtained T points. Thus their first test had ended and the next day would be their real start at the main camp. They went to sleep early that night and decided to get breakfast together in the morning.
