319 Chapter 313: Fragment of the Order

"Your words honor me, my King... However, I wish to fight alongside you until the end."

Beru, the giant ant, was the first to respond. Years of companionship had given him an understanding of his lord's unspoken intentions. Though the monarch hoped for their souls to return to the world through the cycle of reincarnation, the loyalty of Beru prevented him from abandoning the one to whom he had devoted everything.

"I have served two Shadow Monarchs. All I know is to fight and lead armies, and I will continue doing so until the end of time," declared Bellion, refusing to forsake his lord.

"Igris, my lord! I'm ready to fight till the end," said Igris, silently expressing his commitment as a soldier and loyal servant.

"..."

The Monarch felt moved seeing his generals unwavering. Despite the countless battles they had fought together, their loyalty to him until the end filled him with pride.

"Thank you... and I'm sorry. My Crown can no longer protect you."

Closing his eyes, the Monarch knew further words were futile. His loyal soldiers and the army of trillions, all kneeling, were determined to follow him into eternal rest.

"Beloved..."

On the other hand, the woman shed tears, witnessing a scene that tore at the depths of her being.

"I'm sorry, Mother... but I've made my decision."

Infusing all his magical power, the light fragment in his hand transformed into a spinning clock, radiating its glow. Simultaneously, the reality bubble gave way, releasing three Overlords with the aura of chaos.

[Uh-oh! Not good!]

[Stop!]

[...]

The Overlords, terrified by the illuminated fragment in the Monarch's hand, rushed forward to prevent him.

The woman, however, surprised, displayed fear as her cursed mark trembled, activating her survival instincts. Yet, her eyes revealed a deep yearning for that warm light – a reminiscent of a boy she had fallen in love with long ago.

"Don't approach!"

A high-pitched sound echoed as the soldiers of Shadow leaped forward, sacrificing themselves to prevent the giants' interference.

"My lord! You must succeed!"

Swinging his claws, Beru led the charge. Even without the protection of the Crown, he remained a formidable mid-tier destroyer. His sacrifice would pave the way for the Monarch's victory.

...

Following Beru, Igris and Bellion commanded the final fight of their army, the last glory, and the last breath.

[Get out of the way, trash!]

[Don't interfere!]

...

The Overlords underestimated the army, but despite their skills, the soldiers stood their ground. Although millions disappeared, Beru, Igris, and Bellion fought valiantly. Their destinies destroyed, they fell one by one, yet their sacrifice would ensure the Monarch's success.

...

As the giants advanced through the army, they were halted by another reality bubble, a thin layer of Order.

"Don't underestimate me!"

Unfortunately, this bubble couldn't contain them, as the power of chaos overwhelmed the feeble Order, setting them free once more.

But it was too late. The world had become a prison, sealing their fate.

The clock's countdown reached its end as the Monarch activated the Order fragment with his full power.

"The triumph of life is expressed through creation... Every moment is a moment of creation, containing infinite possibilities. Every act of creation is an act of love, and Order is creation."

Murmuring these words, the Monarch was engulfed by the light, casting a final glance at the mother of all and his dwindling army.

"Thank you, Mother... I've created wonderful memories, experienced love... but I'm too tired. Don't blame yourself; this is my decision."

The Monarch knew that this was the end for Crown bearers, but he harbored no regrets. He had lived and done everything he desired; he was simply too weary to continue the eternal war.

"Since the moment I wore this Crown, I knew this would be my end. This is the path I chose."

If destiny existed, perhaps his end would be different.

(No, if destiny were involved, my end would be different.)

Yes, if destiny were at play, the world would do the impossible to save him, control him, and keep him away from the battle. Things would be different.

As the Mother of all, she didn't want her son to die with her. Unfortunately, Champions weren't controlled.

"Goodbye."

"Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Nooooo!"

With a world-shattering scream, the Monarch closed his eyes, and his soul and body were swallowed by the Order fragment.

Falling for the Mother of all...

This was the end for all of them. None were as brave as to renounce their origin, soul, and entire being for the world.

In the end, they all turned out to be fearless suicides, unhesitatingly embracing death while taking their enemies with them.
