Obsession

Aria slumped over the couch as she stared at the main door, waiting for Basil to return from grocery shopping. Usually, they would go together; however, this was the first time Basil had insisted on going on his own so stubbornly. Something about a surprise romantic dinner, hence she wasn't allowed to follow along.

However, Basil was taking suspiciously long for a grocery shopping trip. The supermarket they frequented was only a 15 mins walk away, and without her tagging along, it should take a significantly shorter time with Basil's long legs. Yet, it's already been close to 3 hours since he has left.

He couldn't have gone to a supermarket much further since the one they go to is a major supermarket. The queue couldn't be that long, could it?

Whilst Aria was still debating whether to go out to look for Basil or continue waiting at home, the tinkling of keys made the decision for her.
