Chapter Forty-Three: "We do not get to decide who lives or who does"

Bree walked into the precinct and instantly towards her desk.

On seeing her, Sophia's eyes lit up, she gave a small beautiful smile "how are you so awesome?"

"What happened?" Bree asked as she took a seat.

"What you told me to look into," Sophia said and placed her laptop in front of Bree.

"You finished everything?" Bree gazed at her mouth wide open.

"Yes, it was urgent" Sophia said 

"Her name is Eve Beckett" the picture of a beautiful brunette appeared on the front of the screen.

The girl looked over seventeen or sixteen, but obviously a teenager. Her nose was slim and her features were sharp. In the picture, her eyes were bloodshot, she must've been extremely tired and wailed over such fatigue.

"This was the last record of her, when her adopted parents were caught and arrested for pushing drugs and teenage prostitution" Sophia narrated.

"Are you sure it's her?" Bree asked
