34 the way back

it's been 3 days since that conversation and Im perfecting something that I've had an idea about, a damn energy shield, I need a shield for something very important, okay let's see.

concentrating on the ball yet again, I try stretching it out and making a ball around me, and I manage it's not a skill but a good defense, Obito used it to protect himself from an attack once, came out fine, so I tried it with something better...I think.. it's better right? probably.

sighing to myself I walk out of the Inn, not wanting to delay the travel... any more than 3 hours, Im already late...oops.

rushing out of the entrance after checking out I manage to get to the gate in a few seconds...37...yes I counted.

stopping at the Gate I look around and see Temari looking at me with a smile, a kind of smile that one would have if they are genuinely happy...that demon head behind her says otherwise tho.

"h-hey, sorry... my socks got wet and I had to go back to change it...?" damn it Kakashi I might just take you up on the offer that you gave me before I left.

"we're in a desert...you dont wear socks," she said, a smile still on her face.

"...Im sorry?" it came out as a question, and for what it's worth I am sorry.

"what will I tell hokage about being late?" she asked with a sigh.

"...let me handle it, I'll make up a very good excuse," I say with a grin, not telling her my way of transport...hey I want to enjoy the scenery.

"...fine, let's go" with one last sigh she walked out of the village and I followed.

the walk is nice, I mean as nice as it can get in a desert but still nice...

"say, how come you're not hot?" asked Temari, looking a bit irritated.

"chakra" I answer simply, a little too simply.

"...how? I tried" she said with a growl.

"water nature chakra" I elaborate...and surprisingly she got it.

"...damn it, Im wind nature," she said with a click of her tongue.

"you know, you can make a breeze with wind right?" I say and snicker at her facepalming.

a small breeze blew by, and I stopped my water chakra.

after a while, which is about a day we manage to get out of the desert and enjoy the forest scenery.

"it's getting dark," I say absently, thinking about how I could have been there by now, but not minding the situation.

"and to think that we would be further if you ware on time..." she remarked and failed at making me feel bad.

"...I regret nothing" came a response from me, not minding the blame.

she sighs and we decided to make camp here, and since I dont have fore affinity guess what I did, yes I lit the fire with my lightning, always wanted to do that.

"Alright, so what now?" I ask looking over at her, my water clones are making our tents so we're just sitting at the fireplace

"Now, we wait for tomorrow," she said while looking up at the stars above us.

"you trying to sound deep?" I ask teasingly, a smirk on my face.

"shut up" ah the best retorts of the century.

the silence lasted until I took out a pan from a sealing scroll, and meat, basically I took out the whole cooking set.

"...really?" came a question from my companion.

"...what? Im hungry and your hungry, solution: me having food" I answer with a smile.

"..."

"..."

"...I like it medium rare" she spoke and started watching me making the steak.

Soma would be proud...actually no he would be very disappointed in me.

but it was enough for us mortals.

and we are on the road again, yey, we have two days left of travel, and Im getting bored, Summoning luna is tempting but Nah.

"so, since you ware in Konoha more times than me the last 5 months, has anything changed?" I asked looking over.

"there's another face on the giant stone, and I made some girlfriends there but nothing much" she answers me with a shrug.

so another face huh, I guess the days coming closer and closer, they those little men attack, thinking that because the idiot has fancy eyes he's a god.

'oh no my parents died, I'll make everyone feel pain' whiny little bastard, we're in a shinobi world, we are not expected to live over 30, this world isn't sunshine and rainbows, even jiraya is a fool chasing peace, and so Is naruto, sure he manages to get an alliance with every hidden village in the end, but it will crumble after he steps down, so ultimately the only thing you can do is get rid of the shinobi system, and Im not doing that.

stopping my musings I start listening to the Temaris humming...that's a nice tune...wait, that sounds like a Jojo theme.
