55 Joining the battle

a flapping of the wings ware heard as a figure with red wings crossed the desert.

Haruto was hurrying towards the battlefield where his comrades were.

they broke out of the turtle island, it was quite easy and Sasuke summoned one of his hawks for transportation.

but he broke off from them heading straight towards the desert, he had an Ex-Raikage to take care of then would come the real challenge, Madara Uchiha.

(okay, here we go).

releasing a breath, he sped up, faster and faster until he reached the battlefield.

as soon as he did, his eyes widened, The third Raikage charging at the army... and the idiots were charging right back at him.

(... what's wrong with these people?).

with one final flap of the wings, he charged in, and right before the Raikage could claim the life of the first idiot in line, a red energy wall blocked his outstretched hand.

capitalizing on the surprise, Haruto swung his blood-red sword down on the Raikages arm, breaching his lightning defiance, the arm hit the ground since it was no longer attached to the body and kicked him in the gut with an energy-powered leg.

he narrowed his eyes at the resurrected man and got into his usual stance.

the red wall disappeared soon after, and every Konoha ninja recognized the figure, while others were confused until they saw the kanji he had on his coat.

"oh? and who were you supposed to be?".

asked the Raikage, raising an eyebrow in surprise, it was not every day someone broke through his Lightning armor, even when he was alive.

"what's my name to a dead man?".

he asked, and gave a slight smirk when he saw his eyebrow twitch.

the tension was high between the two as the others watched in silence.

on a silent signal, they dashed towards each other.

tilting his head he dodged a hand that was heading right towards his face, with three fingers outstretched.

twisting his body, he twists around and slashed his other hand and watched with satisfaction as the second hand went flying in the air.

"let's end this shall we?".

he concentrated, his Water manipulation was the best, so he focused on the water in the Air, even though it was hot, it wasn't so hard, his senses flooded and suddenly he felt every person in the army, they were like fish in the water.

he focused on water in the air around the Raikage, using it he quickly created a sphere around him, though he tried to break out, he did not allow it.

quickly sending one of his energy spheres, it encompasses the water prison keeping it secure.

he started boiling the water and a few seconds later, the red energy dissipated, and inside was an unconscious body of a Kumo ninja.

he released the water and looked closer.

(looks like the jutsu got released, well that's good).

he released a sigh and looked around for the one summoning Madara.

he clicked his tongue in irritation when he couldn't.

as he was about to turn back to the army, he was hit over the head with something metal.

"OW! what was that for?!".

he exclaimed ready to snap at the person who did that but instantly started sweating seeing Temari with a pissed-off look on her face.

"where were you?".

she asked calmly, but a chill went down Harutos spine.

(I am an S-rank sannin, a man feared ever since I got promoted to Chunin, how did she sneak up on me, and how is she scaring me right now?).

he raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, trying to calm her down.

and failing miserably.

"I was busy fighting a giant fox, I rushed here as soon as I could, I made it didn't I?".

he tried reasoning, but that failed as the aura around her became darker.

"... I was late because I got lost on the road of life?".

he tried humor.... that was a mistake, but he only realized it when she raised her fan for a chakra-enhanced swing.

"ACHO".

kakashi suddenly sneezed in the middle of a fight but still manages to dodge an attack from the enemy.

"Bless you, Hatake".

said a resurrected Zabuza, who he was fighting right now.

he gave his famous eye smile and nodded towards him.

"thank you, Momochi".

"Okay, so did you and Naruto succeed?".

she asked in a low voice, knowing that it wasn't public information.

she only knew it because she was the messenger between the two villages, and Kazekage trusted her.

"we did, he should have made clones and they should be reaching other battlefields".

he responded with a shrug, Narutos ability to detect negative emotions was used to take down Zetsu so it would be very useful wherever he was, but not here, he barely held out against Madara and third Kazekage so that was the main reason why he came to this battlefield.

And Temari being there had nothing to do with it... nothing at all.

he admitted to himself.
