956 Underhanded Method

Prince Fritzen's lips that had parted to utter his response froze upon hearing what the young girl had to say next.

Facing the Prince, Yvonne, who was much shorter, raised her head and looked right into his eyes as she spoke what was on her mind.

"It would be a shame if certain secrets we hold precious were tossed around as mere pieces of gossip among the other nobles." She muttered as her signature innocent smile formed on her lips.

Those words that she said with a smile caused the Prince to widen his eyes in reply when he grasped the underlying meaning in them.

"So shouldn't we try to keep the other person's secret safe at all costs?" She proposed, maintaining the same smile but Prince Fritzen's heart felt as though it had been dropped into a cellar of ice.

While her words sounded like a request, he was sharp enough to realize what she was trying to achieve here.
