1 CHAPTER 1:LOVERS TURN TO ENEMIES

In the beautiful kingdom of Gardenia joyful chorus of church bells could be heard all over the streets. The grand cathedral decorated lavishly for the matrimonial ceremony of two royals. Cristella silently sobbed whilst running barefooted towards the grand cathedral. She angrily opened the giant doors of the cathedral following a loud bang disrupting the marriage ceremony . She was dumbstrucked by what laid before her eyes. "No, no,no,no, it can't be true , it shouldn't be true " she said with wide eyes as traces of tears could be found at the Conners of her eyes . She stared directly to the eyes of the groom and shouted bitterly, "why! Why me Richard! Y....you lied to me. Everything I knew was all a lie. Why d..did you do this to me Richard was my love not enough for you .Tell me ! Was I a fool to ever believe you,to love you this way....answer me !" She said as she broke down out and fatigue and bitterness. "Cristella!" Richard cried out seeing her broke down. He immediately ran towards her causing a huge uproar among the congregation. "Stop right there Richard ! Don't you dare take a step forward! " "but father she is in need ! I can't just stand and watch! "Richard retorted turning towards his father's angry facade "I agreed to this marriage ceremony because of certain circumstances father, but I'm not standing idle whist she breaks apart " Richard continued with an oppressive and authoritative aura of his own. "Cristella,Cris are you ok a..are hurt anywhere "Richard mutted sadly as a tint of sadness and regret could be seen in his eyes ,seeing the sorry state Cristella was in. "Why Richard,why me I loved you so much , too much and this is how heart was trashed " Cristella said holding on to a piece of her dress close to her heart ,as if she was trying to keep the rest of her shattered heart in place . "I'm so sorry Cristella I...I was l..left with no option ,I just ... didn't know what to do . I love Cristella and that will never change" Richard said as tears rilled his eyes. "Leave that witch's side and return to your wife immediately you ingrate!" The king, Richard's father roared causing many hearts to quiver with fear. Richard still remained seated near Cristella's side caressing her beautiful face . "You don't love me, if you ever did there will never be no option Richard . I gave up my coven, my crown, my mother to be with you and you just betrayed me . My mother was right humans are deceitful creatures not worthy of the love of a witch " Cristella said leaving the hold of Richard with emerald glowing eyes . She stared directly at Richard with deadlock eyes muttering strange words as a glow of radiant light envelope her causing the cathedral to tremble."I will not forgive you for what you've done to me Richard,you and the whole human race shall pay" Cristella said as trembling of the cathedral intensified. Fear started to envelope the congregation and the inner walls of cathedral begun crumbling down . Screams and wails started to resonate around the crumbling cathedral as everyone begun running for their lives. The guards immediately head towards the royal families leading them to safety. Richard also help a number of people out if the cathedral sparring a look towards Cristella every now and then . Cristella surprisingly begun to float in midair scrutinizing the congregation below the crumbling cathedral. "You! " she immediately spotted the king dragging him towards her in midair . "You've always hated me haven't you ? There were numerous of times you tried to kill me just because I loved your son . I never retaliated because of the love I had for him but it ends now !" Cristella said strangling the king the midair. Richard immediately noticed this and head towards Cristella. "Cristella! Cristella!" Richard cried out drawing her attention. All the guards immediately followed Richard seeing their king in danger. "Cristella please let my father go, I know you're a killer you won't even hurt a fly. Don't let them portray you as a killer Cristella, Its my fault so let my father go"Richard said staring intently at Cristella in midair. "That's where you are wrong Richard I am a killer " Cristella replied tightening the hold around neck of the king . "L..let g..go off me you bitch" the king mutted kicking his feet hysterically in midair . "This is where you die bastard!" Cristella mutted conjuring cold blue flames engulfing the body the body of the king. Screams and pleas of the king echoed through the crumbled cathedral as Cristella dropped what was left of his corpse right in front of Richard . Richard stared at the corpse of his father in wide eyes . "I'll be leaving but remember the humans and witches are forever enemies. Prepare yourself for war crown Prince no matter how long it takes" Cristella said with emotionless stare disappearing in thin air.
