122 Chapter 116: Invitation

"You've arrived? We're at B2..."

Dalzollene spoke into the phone before immediately putting it down, then made his way toward the entrance of their room.

"Hmm, should I wake them up?" He muttered, glancing at the room where the others were sleeping.

It was almost time for Basho to take over guard duty.

"Never mind, I'll do it later. These people from the mafia should be quick in action..." he considered, but then shook his head and continued walking.

As Dalzollene switched on the monitor to observe the individual standing outside, he nodded approvingly at the sight of the well-organized group.

"Let's make this quick," he said, opening the door.

"Understood. Where is he?"

"Follow me," the Dalzollene replied, leading them inside.

"You haven't disposed of him yet?"

Dalzollene shook his head, "Not yet. Our family head is currently unavailable, so no one else has dared to make such a decision."

"I see," they murmured amongst themselves, one of them visibly relaxing at the news.

"He's he---!?"

This was unnoticed by him as Dalzollene turned to speak, however...

...his sentence was abruptly cut short by a sudden intrusion!

"Keuhk..."

With a swift motion, an arm burst through his chest, causing him to choke on his own blood.

The group of people before him shed their disguises, revealing themselves as the ones who had clashed with the Shadow Beast.

"F... Fu..."

Dalzollene's voice trailed off as life drained from his body, his vision fading to black.

Phinks withdrew his hand from Dalzollene's chest, nonchalantly wiping away the blood with a tissue.

Thud...

The sound of the body hitting the ground echoed loudly in the room.

"Well, well, look who's here to save your sorry self, Uvogin," Phinks jeered, wiping blood from his hand.

He glanced at Uvogin, who grunted in dissatisfaction, prompting Phinks to chuckle even louder.

Phinks signaled to Shizuku to remove the poison from Uvogin's body so he could regain control.

"..."

Shizuku nodded and promptly used her ability to suck the poison out of Uvogin's body.

As the metallic sounds reverberated through the room, Uvogin's muscles strained against the wire that bound him until it finally snapped apart, setting him free.

"Arghhhh!!!"

With a furious roar, he surged to his feet, his eyes blazing with rage, "You damn bastard!"

But Phinks, unfazed by Uvogin's outburst, interrupted with a deadpan tone.

"Seriously, can you stop yelling?"

He covered his ears in annoyance.

In an instant, the room on the other side erupted into chaos as everyone jolted awake from the deafening roar, their expressions a mixture of shock and dread.

"He's escaped, hasn't he?"

"Looks like it..."

"...Shit."

Cursing under their breath, they exchanged uneasy glances, each knowing the danger they now faced.

Without hesitation, they bolted from the room, their figures blurring as they fled desperately to escape the looming threat.

Uvogin's fury intensified as he realized his quarry had escaped, leaving destruction in his wake as he searched for the chain user.

"..."

With a resigned sigh, the rest of the crew watched him go, knowing he wouldn't return until he settled the score.

Some shook their heads and departed.

"I'm not in the mood for this," Machi muttered as she turned away.

Shizuku said nothing but followed her lead while Phinks waved a casual farewell.

"Good luck sorting out your mess..."

Shalnark, who stayed, turned to Uvogin and said, "Let's find somewhere to regroup..."

Meanwhile, on a tranquil street...

Kurapika strolled along the sidewalk, his thoughts swirling about his recent encounter with Raymond and Hisoka.

"I wonder what kind of deal they made..."

Buzz...

His phone buzzed, and he glanced at the message, his eyes widening in disbelief. "How does he know about this?"

A while ago...

"Are you suggesting you're going to kill him?"

Kurapika's voice was edged with tension.

"Kekeke..."

Hisoka grinned, his eyes concealed by his smile.

However...

Raymond shook his head, prompting Kurapika to demand an explanation.

"...Explain."

"You'll understand in due time. For now, proceed with your plans regarding him," Raymond replied casually, "But don't end his life. Someone will tell you what to do, but besides that anything else is fine..."

Kurapika's Scarlet Eyes narrowed skeptically at Raymond's words.

"I'm sure you've noticed their character just by observing them in action already. You should've expected what was about to happen tonight, right?"

"..."

Kurapika went quiet as Raymond was correct.

He watched as Uvogin took on the entire mafia and the Shadow Beasts by himself earlier, showing that he liked fighting alone.

Seeing Uvogin fight, Kurapika was pretty sure he was an Enhancer.

Since Kurapika hadn't used his special ability yet, he thought Uvogin would be a good test subject.

With his rule that only applies to the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika was confident that if his ability worked on Uvogin, it would work on the others too.

"Oh?"

Hisoka watched with interest as Kurapika cautiously spoke, "Do you truly believe that?"

"They may be ruthless, but they stick together."

"...I understand."

Kurapika's eyes sparkled as he silently concurred with Raymond.

He observed their relentless pursuit after capturing Uvogin and considered that they might actually be quite loyal to each other.

Kurapika remained uncertain, yet Raymond's words confirmed his suspicions, causing a slight tremor in his hand...

...due to his excitement!

Raymond glanced at his wristwatch, muttering, "Hmm, they should be starting now."

"...Excuse me?"

However, Raymond didn't reply to Kurapika immediately.

Instead, he turned to Hisoka and said, "Get him what he needs, we'll talk later..."

"..."

Hisoka chuckled, then flicked a card over to Kurapika, who caught it calmly.

Kurapika's eyes widened in shock as he saw an empty card with Uvogin's ability written clearly on it, "This..."

"You should leave now, as I mentioned earlier. They should have Uvogin by now..."

"..."

Kurapika gazed at Raymond intently, pondering how he could know such information, then shook his head.

Continuing with his current plan, armed with what he had at his disposal, was paramount.

This was what he lived for!

"...See you around, Raymond."

With resolve, he turned and walked away.

"So..."

Hisoka interjected abruptly, fixing his gaze on Raymond, who watched Kurapika walk away in silence.

He couldn't help but lick his lips.

"...What's on your mind?"

"..."

Raymond met Hisoka's intense, bloodthirsty eyes and sighed.

"Let's make a deal..."

"A deal?"

"Yeah, I need some information..."

Hisoka tilted his head in confusion, blinking as he asked, "And what makes you think I would give it to you?"

"Why not?"

Raymond shrugged, flashing Hisoka a smirk, "I'm throwing a little party. Wouldn't you like an invitation?"

"...!"

Hisoka's eyes widened at the unexpected invitation, his expression morphing into a sinister smile as he burst into creepy laughter.

"Kekeke.... Unexpected... This is so unexpected...!"
