Beginning of Everything

"Here," I said, putting a bundle of paper's on the table ahead of my couch after taking out my bag.

"Room service," she called for service, as soon as I handed them over.

"Room service," a waiter knocked on the door of our suite.

"Come in," she replied, I can notice desperation in her voice.

"Yes mam," she asked, bowing her head as soon as he entered the suite.

"Files?" she asked, still sitting behind the glass knocking over the glass with her fingernails.

The woman quietly placed the files in a wooden tray and delivered them to her while looking down on the floor.

I kept moving back and forth, in wait for a response.

"They're bogus," she shouted after going through them for minutes.

I never felt this disappointed in myself, it was like she threw everything away in a minute.

"Just cover-ups," she shouted furiously, throwing them on the floor.

"No way," I mumbled.

"But you thought they would've everything," I replied, shouting at her.

"I think we both share bad luck," she replied, trying to calm herself down.

"And now it's entirely on you, to use different methods to find the boy," she replied.

"But I need to get paid for these documents," I said, resting my head between my palms trying to control myself.

"Your new Id, with no criminal records, I took care of all charges too," she placed a card on her trey.

She walked, quietly toward me making sure even her footsteps won't disturb our conversation.

"Mam," she said, putting the card down on the table and leaving.

"And now when the job will be done you'll be provided with a passport and your One hundred fifty thousand dollars as promised, I'll make sure you never have to think about problems regarding money," she reassured.

"'l'll do it and maybe we'll negotiate about the money part, later," I replied, touching the inner of the cheeks with my tongue.

"No problem, he just forged his identity so well I don't seem to get my hands on anything except he is studying there with a name god knows," she continued.

"You'll receive the parcel before dawn, everything I had on him will be there."

"Sure!" I nodded.

"I will get this scar of yours removed, for a bonus, as things would get complicated for you too," she reassured, showing her pity.

"I don't take favours," I replied, standing up from the couch, and left without any goodbyes.

It had always kept me sane, it was the turning point of everything why would I take it away.

"Bring....," the alarm bells, as it was morning already.

I moaned opening my eyes, "I should get more sleep,"

I reached for the alarm in the dark and pushed its button down.

"It's morning already," I mumbled, standing up after another nap the sun rays have already filled the whole apartment.

I gazed around with a vacant stare. A white envelope was stacked below the door of my studio rooftop apartment. I moved towards the door with a sigh. And pulled the envelope inside, a blurred picture of a child was there. I turned around the picture to look thoroughly.

"Age- 18

Adopted child

Middle school- London

Real mother- waitress,"

Was written on the back of it with a black marker.

"She knows a lot, that's just bullshit, " I thought, throwing the picture in the dustbin.

"I thought she'd be helpful to some extent at least," I checked the envelope again thinking I must've missed something.

"You okay you didn't reply even a question," Ms Lee asked, as she finished the class

"Sure," I replied, still looking down at my book.

Where a crushed slip was resting between its pages, and "D-day" was written on it.

"Dasom, you okay," Ms Lee said, approaching me.

"You can talk to me," she said, resting her hand over my shoulder.

"I've got a business to attend to," I replied, with a forced smile and started to pack my bag along with everyone.

"Let's think what you're gonna do," I kept murmuring and left to the library.

"Let's do it," I said, as soon as I opened the door to the terrace.

"No way you did that," Hera said, with a scoff as soon as she noticed me.

I went blank for a minute, trying to understand what is going on here?

He was not alone but sitting beside Hera on the couch. Da-eun and Yoo-Jung were sitting on the adjacent couch with a junior of ours, and on the other side, Hyun-woo was sitting with Kang Ji-eun.

"You're way dumb than I thought," Hera commented, rolling her eyes.

"She always seems…,"

"Fishy, imprudent and senseless," Ji-eun continued, cutting Da-eun off.

"And she has a particular interest in committed once," she added, raising her left eyebrow in an arch.

"I'm sorry," I said, looking down, clenching my fist and started to leave.

"Where are you going? This isn't the way to do it," Woo-jin said, after me.

"Why don't you get on your knees and show some sincerity," he said, sliding ahead of his couch rested his elbows over his thighs.

"What?" I asked, turning around.

"Do it, and I'll withdraw the lawsuit," he replied, with downturned corners of the mouth.

"Maybe we can be of some help," Hera shifts towards me with Kang Ji-eun.

"Don't you hear, sit," they said, pressing down my shoulder.

"You're going overboard," I said, pushing their hands off my shoulders.

"How dare you?" Ji-eun said, bulging her eyes.

"Sit," they both said, pressing down my shoulder.

"I can do it myself, just move your hands," I replied, gazing at them.

"That would be more fun," they giggled.

I hold my breath and closed mine tightly before kneeling.

"Sorry," I replied, grinding my teeth.

"You're looking just fitted on the ground," Woo-jin replied, clicking a picture.

"Why don't you join us?" Hyun-woo continued, opening the champion.

"She just fits beside us," Ji-eun laughed.

I kept gazing at the floor, breathing heavily.

"Cheers," they all continued, lifting their glasses.

"Maybe we should help her," Da-eun took the bottle and approached me.

"She always seemed unsettling, but how dare you go against us," she said, turning the bottle over my head.

I gasped, closing my eyes as the cold over my head. They all laughed in unison.

And they just opened the doors to their hell.

"I wasn't thinking of going that far, till now...,"

"Stop it, now," I said, clearing the wine over my face and trying to stand up.

"This is just the start," Da-eun said, putting her hands over my shoulder.

"Don't touch me," I said, shaking her off.

"Oh! She still needs some sense," Hyun-woo said.

"You messed with the wrong one, you've no idea what we can do?" Ji-eun said, grabbing my hair tightly.

"You can't do anything, this isn't nothing compared to what I can handle…. you're just some insecure teenagers, grow up," I replied, with a scoff.

"Boys I think you should give us some privacy, she needs some serious lessons," Hera said, frowning.

"Stop it now," Hyun-woo said, intervening.

"You stay out of it," Ji-eun shouted at him.

"Me and Park In-hyuk, we both are leaving,"

"I'm attending the election campaign and a court hearing with my family this Monday," he continued, standing up from his couch.

"I thought it was going to be interesting but she just spoiled my mood,"

"I don't need any problems, feel free to continue but I'm leaving," he said, leaving them behind.

"My cousin spoiled the mood, see ya!" the junior replied, standing up and leaving with him.

"I don't need any problems too," Yoo-jung left, clearing her throat.

"Well you can leave too let's do it later," Woo-jin said, leaving the paper on the table.

"Don't think it ends worry we'll continue later, it's just getting started," Ji-eun said, leaving with Hera.

I kept looking at the floor without even blinking, filled with abhorrence.

"What a mess?" Hyun-woo commented opening the terrace's door.

"You shouldn't have done it, let's leave now," he continued.

"I don't need your advice…," I replied, sharply.

"That's the problem, with people like you they argue when they should only be accepting," he said and took his phone from his couch.

"Seriously" he commented with a sigh.

"Seriously! Get up, give me your hand," he said, extending his arms towards me.

"Do I look pitiable?" I asked, turning my gaze at him.

"No! I'm not helpless or fucking pitiable but angry, that's why keep your hands up to yourself," I said, with red eyes.
