Chapter 15

Jack broke off the kiss eventually and said, “Shall we retire to my room?”

“Yeah, let’s,” said Noah, a little breathlessly.

Jack’s room looked exactly like Noah’s, of course, though the computer desk held only a slimline laptop, and the mirrored closet doors had been very neatly covered over with black butcher paper. Jack, noticing Noah giving that a look, said, “We almost didn’t rent here when we saw that, but we hadn’t realized how hard it would be to find student housing right before the school year, and covering it up was pretty easy.” He smiled and stepped in close to Noah. “But we didn’t come here to talk about the decor, did we?”

“Ah, no we didn’t.” Jack gave Noah a kiss, brief but intense, then stepped back. He kicked off his shoes, and flopped down on the bed, then opened his arms in an obvious invitation. Noah shed his own shoes and climbed into the bed with Jack, settling into his arms. Jack folded them around him warmly and Noah gave him another kiss, softer this time.
