They kept on following the beast underground until it finally dug them into a large tunnel way. Once they were out in the tunnel which was dark, each of them brought out a light crystal to use as a torch, they passed one to Le'llda but the beast refused.

"I can see well in the dark unlike you puny creatures". He commented.

Once there was enough light Jo studied his surrounding and observed that the tunnel was quite big. At least big enough to fit three humans walking side by side. He looked ahead and he was not sure which direction they would take.

"Amelia, do you sense anything?" Jo asked.

"No, Captain" she replied.

"We need to split up," Le'llda suggested.

Even though he didn't like the Idea, Jo knew it was the best option.

"Mickey, Jane follow Le'llda down this path with your group, don't engaged anyone if you don't have to and focus on investigating for now.

Whatever happens we must meet here in an hour and if for some reason you can't in that time frame, send one person here and we'll send some here from our side to if things are the same."

After Jo gave his orders each group made their way in the opposite direction the other went. Mickey wanted to retort, Jo's order but he kept to himself after Jo whispered something in his ear.

Mickey's group started walking carefully in the tunnel. They tried as much as possible to be careful so as not to fall into any traps. Le'llda constantly noticed Mickey glaring at him but he paid him no mind. After traveling a long distant Le'llda spoke.

"If you have something to say to me say it" he told Mickey.

"I don't trust you and I don't like you." Mickey

"The feeling is mutual" Le'llda said.

"I believe there's no use in liking each other. I'm just here to help, not for likes and love." Le'llda said.

"As they were both talking" Le'llda stopped.

"Wait everyone" he said.

"What?" Jane asked.

"There seems to be something ahea"d Le'llda said.

"I don't see anything" Mickey said.

"It's a trap, they are not meant to be seen" Le'llda retorted

He picked a small stone from the the ground and threw it in front of them. The stone suddenly was crushed into dust by something.

"What was that?" Mickey asked.

"They are called light lasers" Jane said.

"We've been trying to blend white crystals and red crystal energy to form something new for a while, according to what I've heard, the Department of Inventory have yet to be successful, the danger has made it even slower". Jane explained

"Well it seems someone succeeded". Le'llda replied

"Do you know how we can pass through without getting blown into bits"? Le'llda asked.

"No, I only read about the research I don't really know much about it". Jane replied.

"The light seems to be coming from the wall" Mickey stated.

"I think something has been fixed there, something that emits the light laser". Mickey said. "Maybe of we can destroy it...." he approached the wall and he brought out his knife. He used it to break through the wall to see if they can see the device producing the light, immediately he stuck his knife in the wall a click sound was heard.

Mickey stop!! Jane screamed but it was too late. A loud bang was heard and Mickey was blown away.

In the other side, Jo's group found themselves in a similar situation. The light laser seemed it be a form of door. The could see the other side but they could not go further.

"We need to get in there" Jo said.

"Does any of you know how to deactivated it?" Jo asked.

"The deactivation pad should be in the other side" an officer said.

"Well what should we do now?" Amelia asked.

"I can feel numerous red crystal around the device, it seems someone place some mines close to the device. If triggered the device would be destroyed" Jo said.

"And that would also mean we get buried" Amelia added.

"They really thought this through.." Jo said.

"There's no other choice... Stand back" Jo ordered.

"What are you going to do Captain?". Amelia asked

"Thinking too much of things is unnecessary, I'll destroy it..." Jo said.

"What? Isn't that dangerous". Amelia asked

"If you don't want to get caught stay back" Jo said.

Amelia and the others immediately started running away from Jo.

Flames covered Jo, he would have summoned his sword but it was too long for the cave. He intensified the flames and burned through the wall triggering the various explosive crystals. The explosion was quite huge but Jo was unfazed due to his amour. He was finally able to move past the light laser but the cave gave in and he was separated from the others.

Jo looked behind him and saw he was now separated from his men, since he knew they were Ok. He continued to investigate the room which he had noticed was very cold, he saw various creatures frozen in ice. He looked around the device that was used in freezing them and he could not understand it's complexity, he wished his men were here, maybe one of the would at least understand. He looked at the beasts and he saw most of the were Wild and ferocious beasts.

They must have been doing this for a while Jo thought....

"They must have heard the explosion he thought, maybe they will come and investigate" Jo said.
