Investigation gone wrong

The next day Thia and Thena were in their tent with Naima and her baby, Aliyah. Nori had once again gone out with the other men to help out with one thing or the other. Life as a refugee was very hard, apart from the little food, tent and space they were given, the Lord could not provide any more for them so they had to sort for some other things they needed. Although their movements were still restricted, they were allowed to search for food and some other things they might need, under supervision ofcourse.

Thia looked at Thena who had been acting more strangely than usual. Ever since the birth of baby Aliyah. She had been more quite and would space out at any moment.

"What's up with you?" Thia asked after she had been calling Thena for a while but she was not responding till Thia tapped her on the shoulder.

"Nothing" Thena replied

"What do you want"?

"Are you sure you are alr-"

"I'm fine!!" Thena yelled

"Hey, don't yell at me I'm just wondering why you're are acting weird."

"I didn't ask for your concern now leave me alone" Thena said in anger.

"Fi-" Thia was about to retort again when she felt the same thing she felt the previous day again.

"Not this again..." She said and started walking out.

"Where are you going to"? Naima asked

"I sensed something strange yesterday and it seems whatever I sensed is back". "You know your senses are quite sharp and a bit creepy, are you sure it's not just in your head?"Thena asked.

"Not it's not".

"It could be what has been responsible for the missing people over the past months". Naima said

"I doubt that..." Thia said.

"I just started sensing this yesterday, but the missing persons has started longer than that so it can't be the same".

"Ok then, you can go but, take Thena with you" Naima said.

"Won't you need someone to help you?".

"I do, but not Thena, she's not much help to me so she can follow you". Naima said making Thena scoff.

Thena brought out her tongue towards Naima in a childish manner as she left the tent with Thia. Naima smiled at the action as she looked at her sleeping baby with a smile.

"I hope you don't become a trouble maker like her...."

Gor once again like the previous day had started to examine things in the camp. He had heard about various cases of missing persons in Miaan all over the place and this morning he had heard of two people going missing, one was the worker from the shop he ate yesterday. He had passed by the neighborhood earlier and had noticed some of the officers policing the area questioning the shop owner. He came to shop in the morning only to find his worker stuff on the floor beside the trash. He also found some small traces of blood and so he decided to alert the police. Gor watched as the officers, who also happened to be the once that ate at the place carry out their investigation. From what he heard the attacks started a little over eight weeks ago and it happened in mostly the local areas with very few cases in the high class area. According to various rumors over thirty people had been missing but, he heard some officers speaking about people also going missing in the refugee camp, and, with the amount of security there, Gor could guess the number of missing people was going to be twice that number. The refugees were basically sitting ducks if they were attack by anything at this point.

"I wonder what the Lord of Miaan is doing to put an end to this attacks". Gor had thought in his mind but he could not help but smile in real life. Nobles tend to not care about things that don't really affect their own daily life, if the people were dying, they would give them a little more security and hope they could stop the killings. Other than that, they won't really go out of their way to ensure that people were safe. As long as they were safe, and had done the bear minimum, they basically didn't care. Since there was nothing he could do here Gor decided to head to the refugee camp and see if he could get anything regarding the missing persons. Although he was not supposed to get involved, he didn't see any harm in a little investigation.

Gor was now looking at the camp in the distance, the camp had been placed in such a location that was a bit Isolated. It took a while before the refugees could reach the city and they were closer to the woods. It was no surprise they were being attacked. As Gor was watching things he felt someone coming close to him at an insane speed.

"What is that?" Gor said as he immediately put on the mask he brought from the town earlier. He immediately started moving towards the woods deeper so as to lose his pursuer. After a while he got out in a small field and as he was running he saw someone else in front of him. Immediately he saw her he remembered the feeling from yesterday, it was no doubt coming from the girl in front of him. Thena came out from behind him panting, only one person had been able to out run her in happyLand like Gor had just done now, and it was Thia. She hated to admit but the little devil was too fast for her.

Gor who was now cornered wondered how he would get put of this situation, he looked at Thia and he could not get this nagging feeling in his head.

"I'll be damned, this girl has iku in her" a voice said in Gor's head. A voice Gor had thought he would never hear again. He was shocked as he spoke "Iku"?

Thia looked at him, although he had not said her name, she felt like he had just called a part of her and she asked before she knew.

"Do I know you from somewhere"?

Her question confused both Gor and Thena.

After a minute of silence Gor replied

"I don't think so..."

"So why are you spying on us?" Thena asked.

"No I'm not spying on you". Gor immediately denied

"Then what's with the mask and the spy getup". Thena asked pointing at Gor's dressing.

He could not help but feel a bit strange. How was he going to reply that he was not spying on them but on the whole refugee camp.

"You don't need to talk, we'll make you" Thena said as she go into a fighting pose.

Although Thia didn't really want to fight Gor she had no choice but to capture the boy and question him since he wasn't cooperative. Thena ran towards Gor with great speed and attacked with her fist. Gor blocked her fist but he felt something coming from behind. Thia was about to hit his leg causing him to lose balance, but Gor jumped immediately he sensed the danger.

"This girls are not ordinary girls" Gor thought.

"This boy is not an ordinary boy" both girls thought at the same time.

Knowing he would probably lose if he held back Gor immediately increased the strength in his legs wanting to crush Thia who was now below him he sent his legs towards the ground but Thia had already moved out of the way, Thena saw an opportunity and sent Gor flying with a kick in the stomach. Gor flew away but steadied himself after a while.

"That one's faster but this one's stronger". He said measuring Thia and Thena's strengths.

Thena had already started approaching Gor but he knew Thia would be the first to get to him given her sped so he looked out for her until he felt something coming from above and he moved out of the was causing Thia to land on the ground destroying the ground a bit. Thia thought Gor simply dodged but he had completely ignored her and gone for Thena instead.

Gor locked a fist battle with Thena as both got into a few seconds of battle both getting a few hits here and there.

"It seems you are quite the fighter" Thena said as she sent Gor flying with a kick again.

"Her kicks her more powerful that her fists and she doesn't hold back with her kicks". Gor thought.

Before he could recover he saw Thia coming with a fist and he had no time to dodge so he wanted to block but he suddenly heard her voice.

"Where are you blocking?" she asked as her fist made a connection with his stomach.

Bang.

Gor was sent toward the tree.

'She shifted her target' Gor said as he noticed a strange taste in his mouth.

"They are both strong individually, fighting them together will be a tough challenge".
