6 CHAPTER 6 DARK AMOUR ARES

The mortal realm is filled with people and beasts with different powers and abilities. While beasts are born with their different characteristic, abilities, humans are not born with any unique ability. Despite this humanity have still been seen to have possess some kinds of abilities passed down from the gods and demons. This ability is sometimes referred to as blessings or curses. Blessings are Gifts from the gods and those that receive them are seen as worthy in the sight of the divine beings. Curses on the other hand are received only by people who have allowed themselves to fall into despair, they are received when someone passes through a traumatic event and the person ends up summoning a demon curse from the demon realm. Most people who get curses are unable to hold onto the power and often die shortly after receiving the curse, while those who don't die are sometimes exiled, hunted, or enslaved.

The most common punishment for people with curses in The Omi kingdom is execution. Gor Kindel, the youngest son of Bale Kindel had just summoned a curse after watching his brother die in front of the unnatural phenomenon currently taking place in the jut forest was proof of the sinister power he had just summoned. At first, Alex wanted to swing into action immediately but he looked at his master and decided against it. Bale Kindel had witnessed something he had not expected, he thought the weak one would be the one to fall first but when Kor sacrificed himself he was quite shocked. Now watching Gor summon a curse he couldn't help but smirk, his interest in Gor had suddenly peaked, being able to summon a curse at such a young age was unheard of, although he might die he wanted to see how things would play out.

The ekun looked at the person in front of him and if he hadn't just witnessed what happened, he would have had difficulty believing that what was in front of him was the kid he just fought moments ago. Gor had undergone a tremendous change after summoning the curse, he looked taller and seemed to have grown a few years older, his hair and nails were longer, his eyes had become completely black and half of his body seemed to be covered in some sort of black amour and he held a black katana like a sword that oozed bad news. His muscles were also better tuned than before. He looked at the ekun gritting his teeth and drooling at the same time, tears were falling out of his dark eyes. The ekun at first felt threatened by his new transformation and wanted to run away but his pride won't let him and he doubted if whatever was in front of him would just let him go easily.

Lost in his thoughts he had not seen when Gor suddenly charged toward him, he was much faster than before and before the beast could even react his hand had already been chopped off. Gor's movement was even more precise and his attacks more powerful. The ekun reacted and jumped away before Gor had the opportunity to attack him again. He focused a bit of his energy on the wound and stopped the bleeding so as not to bleed out. Gor was already rushing towards him again but this time he was already prepared as he used his claws enhanced with nature energy to block the sword, the clash caused a shock wave so strong that it knocked all the Helpets that attempted to feed on the bleeding beast out. The scene of Helpets falling at the clash of the two monsters made Bale Kindel who was witnessing the fight, excited. Alex on the other hand felt amazed that Gor was able to go toe to toe with an Ekun... He had never witnessed a cursed ability before and he was surprised at how strong it made Gor.

The beast and Gor exchanged blows for a while and after a minute of fighting, one could see that the ekun was in the advantage, Gor's body was unable to keep up with the curse and it seemed time was running out for him. The ekun noticing how Gor was slowing down immediately increased his attacks and was fiercer than before. He used his claw to attack Gor which Gor immediately responded and blocked with his sword, the ekun used the opportunity to kick him in the torso which sent Gor flying some distance away coughing up some blood. After creating some distance, the ekun used the opportunity to ready a long-distance attack, he focused nature energy on his Hand and launched a purple fireball, the size of a soccer ball towards Gor who was down, tired, and weak. The curse had begun to eat through his life force..... Boom! The impact of the fireball was strong enough to uproot some of the trees nearby. The ekun was now also breathing heavily his last attack had taken most of its energy, but it could still gloat.

"Hahaha that was fun, I never expected the little devil to become so strong, too bad I had to burn him to a crisp he would have made a tasty meal," the ekun said while turning to go and get Kor's body. He wasn't going to leave his catch for anything in the world. As he was walking away he felt a cold shiver running down his spine immediately followed by hot and immense flame... He turned back and saw Gor standing there looking at him. His left hand had been badly burnt but it was still intact he was using it to hold a second sword which was responsible for the current heat. It was the Aktel. It seems to have found its new master. Bale looked at Gor and said, "Ohh seems you can do it unh".

Gor suddenly charged towards the ekun for the last time with the aktel on one hand and the dark blade in the other. The beast responded, it gathered its remaining energy for one last push. Gor attached with the dark blade first before flowing up with the aktel flames.The one hand short beast found it difficult to counter his second strikes. After the fourth successive hit, the beast decided to use its legs. As Gor threw its attack at the beast, the first was blocked as the second was immediately blocked with one of the legs, the beast then Opened its mouth to bite Gor's head off and finish the fight but as it opened its mouth, Gor let go of the dark blade and dumped an explosive crystal in the ekun mouth the explosion caused the ekun to lose its opportunity at the moment although Gor was also caught in the explosion because they were close he ignored the pain and grabbed the aktel with both his hands

"Wai..." the beast said it last words as Gor sent its head flying with the aktel.
