CHAPTER 23: Mysterious Baby At The Door Step.

"Chin Ari!" Chin Won screamed and ran towards her. "Ahhhhhhh! You are still as pretty as ever! Oh, gosh! I'm really really getting jealous." Chin Won hugged her and Chin Ari reciprocated, they've been so close since childhood and really hoped the relationship they once shared would be the same.

The whole time while Chin Sun was still planning her long period of arrival, she had been thinking of keeping Chin Ari company.

"Your hair is so white now and long, I think I'm going to end up drowning in jealousy if I continue, come in! Hurry hurry!, Leave uncle and your mother to talk. Chin Sun baby, come!" Chin Won was so excited, she felt like she was on cloud 99 if that was possible. She really felt high.

Chin Sun had never seen someone act this way before and couldn't help but frown and walk slowly behind them. Chin Ari really looked happy with the strange lady. She doesn't want her sister to give any other person attention than her.

"Guess what!.... we'll be sharing the same bedroom together, almost everyone in the family lives here and there's chaos everyday but my bedroom is like a sound proof, you won't hear anything, Oh!, I'm excited." She screamed again. She was counting so tight to Chin Ari's arm and at this moment, Chin Ari feared her hand would end up falling off.

Chin Sun frown deepened as she asked. "Am I not sharing a room with you two?" She asked.

Chin Won turned back and nodded happily. "My room is not meant for little kids okay?, you'll be sharing a room with Chin Ju." with that she faced front and continued hooping till they finally entered the house.

Chin Bada on the other hand already lost her patience fully with this man's stupidity and greediness.

"So you came her to work as a maid in the empire's palace and you need my help in helping you to get a new form....did your dead husband kept money with me."

If not for Chin Ari's failing health, they would have gotten there earlier and she wouldn't have missed her turn, now that it's gone, she'll need to get a new form which would cost a little money since she was more like an outsider.

"Why are you this greedy Hyuk?! This is the little you can offer after taking away the rest of it. As a matter of fact, you are living off me. You don't expect me to kneel and beg for what is rightfully mine!" She sounded so different when she uttered the last sentence.

The side of her really comes once in a while, it's a side of her that her children have never seen. Chin Hyuk, who knew this side of her well, scratched his head and found a way to leave.

"Your daughter is really old now, old enough to get married. What are you keeping a twenty year old lady under your roof for, I don't do such!, I'll get her something to do and find a financially stable husband." Chin Hyuk said and started to walk away.

The breeze blew lightly and the red brown three edged dried leaves blew away from their initial position. Chin Bada turned slightly to his direction and said. "I don't need you to get involved with my family business!"

Chin Hyuk walked away without even turning to see her frightening mood. Chin Bada looked around and a sudden mixed emotions swirled inside her. She had that nostalgic feeling. Right under this red three was the first place where she and Chin Haenul first met.

Though it was an arranged marriage, no one knows that the two had been secretly seeing each other even before then. They had spent so much time together and it was peaceful and hopeful.

Not until his family realized that she couldn't bear him a child and had to come up with different ways to split the two. Chin Haenul got tired of their silly but killer tricks and moved out to find a place for both of them.

Finally, they found a place where they stayed and continued with their life but knew they, Chin Haenul told her that his leave was over and he had to return back. She never has the close chance to see him that often anymore. no time to make babies or make love it was just her. All alone.

It was during this period that a mysterious baby appeared at her doorstep. Being childless, she took the child in and raised her without making inquiries on who the mother of the child was.

When he finally returned, he found her with her with a child...At first she thought he wouldn't believe her when she said the child wasn't hers and said she met the child at the doorstep of their little house, she thought he would say somethings like....she cheated.... who's the father of the child in your harms? But he said nothing like that.

His heart melted the moment he saw the baby and carried her gently in his arms, though she wasn't used to him at first, gradually she got used to him. The man didn't even ask her about anything related to the baby, which got her worried. Anytime she wanted to talk about it, he cut her off gently.

After many years they welcomed their own flesh and blood, Chin Sun. It was really a fun and exciting moment for all of them. They had time to spend together as a family and go to places together.

But just like water being evaporated. Their joy evaporated overnight. It was a very dull morning, the weather seemed so weird and bad feeling lingered in the air giving out negative vibes.

His lifeless body stopped right in front of their house, so many people from the royal family were there to bring his dead body back to his family. Chin Bada couldn't believe her eyes, she fainted immediately she recognized him. Chin Ari passed out as well and started to tremble violently, the only person to carry it all was Chin Sun.

Chin Bada refused to accept the body and told them to take him back and perform his final rites in the palace, since they took his life, they'll bear the responsibility of being the murderer.

They had no choice but to take him back. This news about the death of the Commander spread around the Empire. It turned out people are more well known when they are dead than alive. Finally, Chin Bada agreed to perform his final rites but this would only take place in the Empire's palace.

Those red moments.....and sorrowful memories were still there, clear as glass.

The Emperor decided to pay a huge amount of death gratuity to his family but his greedy brother snatched everything away and absconded with it, leaving them with nothing.
