Chapter 4

Monday morning shade POV

Today been monday is the first day of resumption after the third term holiday.

I dressed in my neatly washed and ironed school uniform of lilac purple and onions purple.

lilac for the shirt and onions purple for both the skirt and tie.

well tuckened my uniform looking dope on me. I must say, out of everything I was going to miss in bishop caterine, the school uniform would truly be one.

I just love how it fitted so well.

with that thought, I checked my self in the mirror one last time making sure my hair was well arranged.

I walked down to see my mum fixing the last bit of breakfast with my sister already digging through her food.

looking over to tofumi, I saw her well dressed in her lilac shirt and onions purple pinnafor , with the all back of her hair neatly settling down. I nodded in approval as I took my seat beside her while grabbing my breakfast.

my mum asked us if we were enjoying the breakfast and we both nodded.

hmm shade please take good care of your sister oo you hear. watch out for her and please don't allow any senior to beat her she said.

they wouldn't even dare raise a hand to her not if they didn't want to face my wrath, I assured my mum.

okay dear I trust you, she said.

Tofunmi had finished her food on time, you the joy of going to a new school was definitely showing on her but can be by the end of the week it would have waned.

By half past 6, I finished my food and mum quickly prayed for us as that was her custom anytime we resumed for a new section in school.

we made her good bye afterwards and headed into the car were Mr bosun was waiting to take us to school.

my dad had already gone for a business trip, if you might be wondering.

We got to school by some minutes to seven, and I first had to show tofunmi the way to her class, got her settled and then I headed to my class.

on getting to class, I spotted Tomi and Cynthia by the corridor already gisting, probably on something that has to do with the last party. They quickly rushed to me on seeing me while shouting my name as if I was some kind of goddess or something. I embraced them lightly and proceeded to go into the class with them.

SS3 in my school was divided into six arms namely Loyal, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Joy and Peace. I was situated in ss3 loyal along with Tomi while Cynthia and Ade's class was Ss3 Goodness and Faith respectively.

I settled on my seat which was located at the back to my left as Tomi also got on her seat next to me leaving Cynthia standing while talking to us. it wasn't that cynthia could not have sat down on one if the chairs, but in my class, you weren't allowed to seat on anyone's chair just like that, as that might bring unwarranted argument. that is how it as been right from junior school and that is how it will remain until we left the school.

so you see Cynthia has to remain standing.

some minutes later, Ade finally rushed into my class engulfing us all in a deep hug while shouting onto of her voice that she can't believe she is actually in ss3 finally.

Gosh that girl was a ball of energy I can't just believe what the group would have been without her.

soon the members of my class started coming in one after the other. some shouting how happy they were to finally be in ss3, some gisting with their other friends, some already looking for trouble here and there and others doing what they want and how they pleased.

The whole school rushed out when they spotted the white limousine that pulled up on the drive way signaring that Danel our super hot teen model was around. like I said, the boy knows how to draw attention without even noticing it.

The body guard had to literally drive all the junior and senior student away so that he could get space to pass.

The assembly started at 7am sharp and we the perfects had to literally drive out all the students from their various classes.

I and Michael had to stand at the entrance of the hall in order to make sure everyone entered in an orderly manner. The junior students had to go to their assembly ground while the seniors had to stand where theirs was been held.

One thing about my school is that both juniors and seniors have separate space for their assembly. so if you are a junior, you would have to be a the juniors assembly ground while for seniors we had our separate space.

the only way we do assembly together is when the principal has a very important announcement to pass.

if the announcement wasn't important, he would pass it to the teachers in charge of both junior and Senior school.

Also our blocks were different, the juniors had their block as well ad the seniors, so if a junior is found on a senior block without having an older sibling, then the junior would have his or herself to blame and that also goes for the seniors.

literally the only people allowed to go on what so ever block they want was the ss3 student or prefects.

I had to go to the junior block to see if everyone thing was in order being the head perfect girl. I also had to leave the junior head prefect girl in charge of the juniors assembly.

yea in my school, we had juniors who were made prefects only for tge junior school anyway byt yes even if they were prefers, they still had to obey the senior prefects and ss3 as a whole.

From where I stood at the entrance of the door, I spotted john the assembly prefect came up to the podium to commerence the assembly, starting with praise and worship.

The assembly took at least 45 minutes and soon the announcement were made.

The upcoming basket ball competition, the spelling bee and Mathis quiz, the debate competition and finally the most of all, the inter house sport competition.

The sport prefect who was like had to come and speak to us on both the basketball and inter house sports competitions.

After all anouncement were made, the inspection began.

my school has a strict rule on hair do and if you are found wanting in this aspect you who be severely dealt with.

we had to basically play the hairstyle called by the school and unless you are an ss3 student, you dare not flunt that rule.

so the hairstyle for every resuption week for seniors was always two steps while for juniors it was always all back.

The sanitary prefects Amina and chris had to move round to inspect every one. Both their uniform, socks and there general cleaniess all together.

This is a new term, why is there a crowd of defaulters I had began to cuss.

can't this ss1 and 2 just stick to the rules for once. they were already on their knees as they were told to do by Chris.

making my way to junior school, I spotted some jss3 who were kneeing also. At least there was no new student among them.

Getting to them, I told them that immediately the assembly was over, they were to go to the school forest and I was going to meet them there. non of them must even try to escape, Underwise, they would get a bigger punishment.

The assembly finally ended at around five minutes after eight due to reason been that our talkative teacher mr. lawal was the one leading the seniors assembly.

immediately the assembly was over, amina the sanitary prefect, handed over all the defaulting seniors to the labor prefect ziba and camson the labour prefect boy.

I only my part had started hearing towards the awaiting junior defaulters in the school forest.

The juniors didn't have a labor prefect just a junior head boy and girl they had.

I decided them into groups, giving each group their own little portion to clear within the space of15 minutes before the bell for first period who be rang by the time prefect Cynthia.

I told them to write down their names and the group they belonged to so when I come to check later, I will know which group didn't do their part well.

Making my way into the ss3 coridor, i could hear a hell of noise from each and every class.

in my mind I am like, do this people even know that unless than some months, we would be writing our exams. Gosh what sort of people are this.

Anyway, I continued moving ahead until I got to my class ss3 loyal.

I carefully went over to my desk looking around at all my classmates. From Tova the front sitter to patience, tamilore, temi, morex,moses, remi, rose, kunle the set gangstar along with mordi and collins his accomplice, Daniel our Mr handsome and model the school student affairs complaint officer, then we have michael our able head boy, john the pastor, the humble, jovial and social prefect boy Sony along with his accomplice simon and sanya, the one and only amina the sanitary prefect, ziba the labour prefect girl, ofcoourse Cynthia the ss3 best female dancer and time keeper, a host of others who I find hard to remember there names and my humble self the head prefect girl Shade Williams.

Thinking about it now, I surely have the feeling that something extra ordinary was going to take place this term.
