This particular Genius

A particular child was born on a particular date. This particular child was Yushita Yugo. At age one he already learned how to read and write. At age six he knew how to do most math sums in his head. At age eleven he had learnt over twenty languages. And at fifteen he's enrolling in a particular high school, not just any high school though, this particular high school is run by three particular sisters and is part of one particular education chain. But not just any education chain. This chain only provides education to the handful of children known as "Advanced Prodigies". From all over the world, geniuses and prodigies flock to these three schools, but only a few thousand get deemed "worthy" enough to attend, and even less get accepted. There's only one thing Yushita Yugo can't do, and that is work as a team, but with his luck that is exactly this year's acceptance criteria. Yugo is on the verge of not making the cut, but with a bit of godly magic a particular miracle might happen.

Chapter 004! Even A Prodigy has Their Fears!

Yugo and Oaklie went and slowly made their way towards the central gymnasium again. This time, there was a lot less people in the way.

'Yo, you think Josh has already left?' Oaklie asked. 'We did take quite a while there.'

'Nah mate, he's not the sort of dude who'll do that, besides, can't we just meet up with him after?' Yugo responded. 'What I'm really worried about is the teams, I don't want to be placed with a crappy team for the rest of the thing, and I really don't want to be on the same team as "mommy Oaklie", double pun there.'

Oaklie look down on himself. Although a "him", Oaklie can't look more like a girl. Douglas usually teases him by saying he looks prettier than most of the girls in his year, which ironically, was actually true. The Rorke family was blessed with unequalled beauty, all of their children are breathtakingly handsome or pretty. Oaklie unfortunately, is blessed with breathtakingly pretty. Put a dress and headband on him and you will be questioning your sexuality. 'Yeah I don't need you to remind me, Douglas already does that every hour.'

'Well, Douglas isn't here, so it's my job to do that.' Yugo strolled over to a pile of rocks and kicked them. 'Anyways, let's try our best at this camp. I honestly don't give a damn about being able to pass or not, I'm just here to enjoy myself and have fun. That's all I care about.'

Oaklie can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. Yugo isn't this carefree normally, but today after the fight (or what you'd think is a "fight"), he's trying harder to be more cheerful and upbeat. 'Hey, bro, what happened during those five seconds, why ya acting like this? You completely swept the floor with Itsuki, so why you straining yourself?'

Yugo can't say he wasn't impressed. Oaklie's observation skills always exceeds Yugo's expectations, being able to identify something that was stirring unconsciously within him that he didn't even come to realise if Oaklie didn't state it. 'I just don't want to get looked down on, that's all. Nothing too insane.'

After making fun of Oaklie's looks Yugo felt sort of bad. He himself doesn't look that impressive to begin with. Curley black hair, overly large dark brown eyes and a slim, medium sized figure. Without his itellect he would just be one of the crowd. 'Yeah, I'm being unreasonable, lets go, I have better living conditions than most of the people in the world, and I am ridiculously smart.'

'Ay mate, there are depressed billionares out there, it's fine to be-' Oaklie started.

'I'm Fine! Alright? Leave me alone!' Yugo retorted. 'Besides, I'm not depressed, I just have a superiority complex, that's all, okay?'

Oaklie did feel like this was a valid explaination, but he still can't shake the feeling something was seriously wrong. Yugo says he has better living conditions than most of the people in the world, but his family cannot be more messed up, a mother who thinks everything that her daughters say are correct and doesn't mind throwing glass bottles at her only son, a father who does care for him but is away so often that he doesn't even get to have a proper face to face conversation, let alone tell his son that he is loved, two sisters who can lie straight in their mother's face about the brother that helped them so much, and yet still get away with it and not get in trouble, on the contrary, Yugo's the one who gets beat, thrown stuff at and tortured. Yugo's family makes him happy that he was born into the Rorke family, a family that, although lives in a two bedroom flat, cares about each other very much and is always there for each other.

Yugo suddenly spoke up again. 'You know what? There's no point lying to you is there? You probably can see through my lies anyways. The truth is, all I wish for in my life is something simple, to have a good, fun family, but that is also the only thing I don't get in life. Why? I don't have a clue, but they say friends are family, and to me, You, Douglas, Josh and, I guess Isshiki are the best of friends I can ever get.'

Oaklie's hunch still can't go away, 'There's more, tell me more.'

Yugo sighed. 'I do wish I had more friends. That's all there is to it. I want a big friend group so we can sit on a fence, watching sheep and singing country songs together. That's all I wish for right now. Right now.'

Oaklie smiled a little bit, 'There's tens of thousands of people here. You gotta have to be able to make one friend.'

Yugo looked at Oaklie dead in the eye. 'Tell me this. Will you be my friend forever? Will we overcome all the hardships in life together?'

Oaklie nodded. 'Yeah, born together, raised together, die together.'

At the end of that small walk, Oaklie learned something, Yugo wasn't afraid of death, stronger opponents or even his parents. He was afraid of weaker opponents, and being alone, and Oaklie understands that.
