Contemplations & Conversation

Leaning against the wall hidden in the shadows Naruko's usually vibrant blue eyes were dull as she stared at a stone house's wall, deep in thought. 'How complicated life is when you decide to finally think about it. But the question is - what to do? From a utilitarian standpoint, Kumo is in fact correct - giving themselves another Bijuu will promote their welfare at the cost of a much smaller village and nation. BUT - that would promote the decay of other nations and villages. However, it wouldn't majorly impact the major nations, and thus - the world would not change too much. In the end, however, perhaps the pros would outweigh the cons, but I'm not a utilitarian am I? I don't care about such things.'

'I don't care about the 'now' - this war. My view is different from everyone else's.'  Naruko's eyes turned from the wall to the sky - to the stars. 'I care about the future. I care about the stars slowly dwindling in the sky. I care about the threat to our world. I care about protecting our world. As such, from a purely logical standpoint, Kumo's attack on Fuu is unacceptable. If we take the anime filler for the Suna Chunin exams into account it's clear that of all the Jinchuriki Fuu creates the most unique of techniques, at least compared to her age. The rest of us are much more... blunt with our Jinchuriki abilities. From an emotional standpoint...'

Her eyes narrowed teeth gritted. 'Scum. Attacking a young girl because she holds a being of power inside of her is horrific.' Taking a deep breath Naruko slowly unclenched her fists having not even realized in her anger they had begun to dig into her skin.

'So what do I do? Obviously, not everyone in Kumo would have agreed with such actions for one reason or another - but if I simply destroy everyone who was for this plan - those who remain will turn to revenge, many of them going insane. But...' A glint appeared in her eyes, 'In the end only two people in Kumo matter for the protection of this world, and even then - no matter how strong Killer Bee is now, in reality, we can see the results from 'Boruto' he reaches a peak - a peak that the Five Kage in Boruto SOMEHOW have surpassed. If he were younger his value would increase - I have many ideas for training... But, even now he's something like 33-34. Although he could get stronger, by the time I could implement my training ideas with him he'd be at least a few years older.'

Her eyes turned to steel as they moved from the sky back to the stone wall. 'So in the end, from what I know only one person in Kumo is 'important' for the purposes of the protection of the World. But - they are still people. Still living breathing people, and the wonton destruction of the entirety of Kumo's shinobi populace because of an attack on a singular person would be unacceptable. After all, if everyone is dead - what world is there to protect?'

A sigh escaped from Naruko's lips. 'I have time to figure this out. Damn world, I'm only barely 13!' As her thoughts died down, her face slowly shifted. Her eyes gained vibrancy, a smile appeared on her face, and in general, she seemed less cold. 'Alright, let's go fuck with the ANBU, y'know!'

With a giddy smile on her face, Naruko jumped up on top of a building and darted across the rooftops. 'Now, what should I do? It's been a while since I used paint. What about glitter? Ooh! I know! Let's have a clone henge into Mr. Wugglesmuggy!'

-Elephant POV-

Covered in orange paint, mask sparkling in the sunlight, his voice was filled with hysteria as Cricket screamed, "Kill it with fire! Kill it with FUCKING FIRE!"

With dull eyes, Elephant let out a sigh. 'Rookies' Staring at the horrifying abomination that slopped towards them, Elephant couldn't help but admit - it truly was made from the most depraved mind in existence. Leaking slime with every movement, the thing was made purely out of tentacles, with dozens if not hundreds of eyes on each tentacle, the eyelashes of each eye appearing to be made out of bone, and the pupils of each eye split down the middle in the vague shape of a tooth.

The slime that leaked from the creature sizzled on the ground as it moved. It was truly horrifying. Sadly, she had gotten used to such horrifying things. Elephant seeing the Captain now in one of his states and assuredly about to either scream or start to cry in depression, honestly - she could never tell, decided to speak. "Calm down Cricket. It's just a clone with a henge on it. Everything is fine." 'Best not remind him that Uzumaki SOLELY uses physical henges, damn Chakra monster.'

"Ri-right! Just a henge."

-Naruko-

Naruko's voice echoed out all around the ANBU as she spoke. "Maaaah! Elephant-channnnnn you ruined my fun. I guess I'll have to wait for later, y'know? Anyways, tell Gramps I'm heading home after Fuu-chan and Seven-chan wake up, will ya? I'll report to him then. Oh, right! It was definitely Kumo that ambushed her, I recognized a few of those Shinobi from reports and bingo books." With that said she leaped from her hiding place, quickly getting out of dodge. 'After all, who knows? Maybe they have - UGH orders. Can't risk that! Besides that Captain is weird it's like they put Hashirama's emotional spectrum on crack and said, "Go get 'em tiger!" Better off not dealing with 'em.'

-3 days later-

Sitting on top of the roof of Tsunade's inn, Naruko was having a staring match - with who? The sun of course! 'HAH! You think you can beat me you big ball of gas? Bah! Your stupid light can't even affect my eyes. Pfft, I bet you aren't even that hot.' '.... Should I stop giving you Chakra then?'

Naruko's mouth twitched. 'Hey, don't expose me to myself!' As the Chakra from Kurama faded, Naruko quickly looked down. 'I'm looking down because I WANT to, not because I lost the staring contest. Yeah!'

"Naruko stop staring at the sun like an idiot and come down here. Your corpse woke up." The voice of Tsunade could be heard from the bottom of the stairwell that led to the inside of the Inn.

"Eh?!? Fu's awake? Also - don't you know there's a person in the sun? I wasn't staring at the sun, I was staring at them!" Quickly hopping off the railing, Naruko walked back inside.

"I'm sure. Now why don't you talk to her, I need a damn drink. Inconsiderate brat bringing me patients..." Tsunade wandered off just as Naruko reached the bottom of the stairs. 'Da- *cough* bad puberty! Bad!'

Shaking her head for a few moments vigorously to clear her thoughts, Naruko swiftly walked towards Tsunade's room. 'Now then, should I enter with a bang or... Mhm, she just recovered - no need. Let's act like a 'normal' person for a little bit to not upset her condition.'

This weekend has been fucking rough. Wanted to get this out Friday. Hopefully, we get a couple more chapters this week as it should be a lighter week for me in general. These next few chapters are mainly wrapping things up - for well the big thing. THAT thing. Y'know, the thing? Yeah, that one.
