Epilogue: The Resolve That Was Lost.

I lurched upwards, gasping for breath as I wrestled the covers off of me. The subtle amber light that was tinted chromatic colors illuminated the room through the stained glass window. The woman that was about to cover my head with a wet rag fell backwards onto the stone floor, knocking over a small bucket filled with water as she did so.

I darted my eyes around the room, searching for my friends. My heart was beating rapidly as I called out their names.

"Erana? Tael? Kany?" I desperately cried out, but the only thing that answered me was the woman on the floor.

"Ahh… That hurts…" She rubbed the spot she fell on as she slowly sauntered up. "Please, calm down Kenji-san. You're safe now." She placed her hand upon my own in an attempt to calm me down.

I slowed my breathing as I looked at her. "Where am I?" I stared directly into her eyes as I asked.

"Don't worry. You're inside of the Church of The One in Ruks." She patted my hand gently as she softly spoke.
