Literally just going where told to go.

*The next morning*

"Wow, I didn't expect it to be this lively in here. I am in a big town and all, but the guild itself is fuller than any other place I've visited so far." Must be pretty popular, eh?

That's great for me, cause it means more potential people to teach.

There are four counters here, and all of them have friendly-looking women assigned for their jobs. It makes sense, since most of the adventurers are men, and they tend to be a lot less aggressive when talking to women.

"Hello, how may I help you?" I am greeted by one of the workers as I come to the counter.

"Yeah, hi. I heard you guys, - I mean the guild - are looking to hire some talented, skilled, or experienced people to teach the rookie adventurers. That's still a thing, right?" I just hope I haven't come too late.

"That's right. Are you, perhaps, looking to take up the job as well? The salary is high, yes, but it's a hard job, and you have to be fit for your role." I guess she warns everyone beforehand because so many people come simply for the money, without having the right skillset.

"I think I'd be a great teacher, though." I assure the lady.

After hearing my words, she told me to go to a separate counter over in the corner. It was more of a table with papers and stuff stacked on top, so I assume they made that into a temporary counter until the teacher "election" is over.

"Hello. I wanna teach the rookie adventurers how to do stuff well, and I was told to come to this counter."

The person took off the hat they were wearing, and it turns out she is also a woman. I guess I could have checked using my detection, but it doesn't really matter.

"Do you understand exactly what that means? You'll be responsible for teaching hundreds of people how to survive and get better, which makes you responsible for their lives. Your lack of knowledge to share could lead to their lack of knowledge and skill as well, and, that, in return, puts these people in danger. Can you really take their fate into your hands at such a young age?" She looked me dead in the eyes, waiting to see how I react.

"So, I just need to prove I'm worthy, correct? Oh, and I guess I should also explain my reason for wanting to teach these guys." I put my hands out, questioning whether I should proceed with the explanation.

"There are three reasons, plain and simple. I need money, entertainment, and, most importantly, people who will do my job for me." After hearing my statement, she looked at me with confusion.

"As I'm sure you know, there's an invasion going on. While I've yet to figure out exactly what is going on, one thing is for sure - we're gonna get attacked by demons. To be frank, all of you are weak as shit, which means that when we get attacked, I'll be forced to do all the heavy lifting. I'd rather just have some strong people take care of the problem instead of me." Having revealed my plan I smiled.

"Haha, good motives. The teachers are being tested against each other right now, just go that way to the arena." She pointed her finger in a direction.

"Thanks." I teleported to the arena and explained how I got my permission to the manager.

It's two battles before my round, so I decided to check out the other participant's fights.

To be fair, they're really good. The average level is something like 150, which is considered very high, and I'm sure lots of people will look up to these tutors.

The people fighting right now, a skinny looking guy, and a gorilla-type guy, are quite uneven. The gorilla man's strength is drastically higher, but the other guy has a strong presence, so I assume he's a magician.

In fact, his level should be the highest of the people here, apart from me, of course.

"Guaaa!!" With a dumb warcry, the huge man charged at the magician, but he effortlessly put up a stone wall. It was amplified by magic, so it was hard enough to stop the charge attack.

"Should've been more careful." The magician pushed his hand forward in the air, causing a spike to form on the surface of the wall, thirsting into the man's shoulder.

"Aughh. You win, lad." He still made sure to give a sign of respect and bowed to his opponent, despite being injured.

Afterward, a few people with healing magic fixed him right up.

"Heh, I like the way they organized the place." Honestly way better than I thought.

"Mhm. They must be getting ready for something big." A person who sat beside me replied.

"Well, there's the whole invasion going on, it makes sense." Blood's asleep right now, so it's nice to have some company.

"Why didn't you get weary when you felt someone approach you?" Why should I waste my energy on you?

"Why do you think I sensed your approach?" I replied to the question with another one.

"Anybody would get surprised if somebody started talking to them with bloodlust." Oh, so he was directing his killing intent towards me?

"Well, you see, I'd only feel it if you posed an actual threat to me, but you're completely harmless, so you could go ahead and attack me, for all I care. Not like I'd get hurt." Although he is the strongest of the bunch, by far.

Level 208, I think.

"Hah! I'm up against you for the next, so let's see how much shit you'll talk then." Thinks highly of himself. Can't blame him though, cause I've kinda started doing the same.

Well, I'm overpowered to shit, so there's no need to worry about him.

This chapter was, well.. Kinda uneventful, to say the least. But ey, at least we've got a bit of ground to go on before the start of the teacher tournaments.

Until then, g'bye~
