6 Chapter 6 - A bite to remember

Every morning Xia Che had a affixed Schedule. He would wake up by sunrise; tease the little snakae in his pants and would play with the spiritual plants; wait near the rock near the river sunset and then fall asleep right there.

One of the ravens near the brook made fun of him one day for not bathing. Xia che never understood the concept of bathing. He was born in the river and raised in it. He likes to swim though. He didn't necessarily have to bath to cleanse himself. Water is an extend part of his body.

'I miss mommy Yukiya' he thought as he looked at the jade hairpin she had given him. She told that it could protect his life when he was in danger. 'i wonder where she is' he wondered. He knew she was alive but he couldn't sense her nearby anymore. Its like she disappeared. This jade is the only remainance of their memories together.

Long Aotian felt like he had a very long dream. Even since he was hatched my parents never bothered spending time with him. They were too in love with each other to care about their children. When he was young he always wanted to cuddle up as a family and sleep together. But father always wanted her attention only on himself. Now in his dream he felt like he was coiling around something very warm. He felt his body being softly caressed every day. He felt someone talk to him in a soft voice. The thing smelt like the ocean with a pleasant sea food smell. He just wanted to take a bite of it. And so he did. He took a big bite.

"Ahhhhhhh" Xia Che fell off the rock in pain. The stupid snake was biting his jj. Pain clouded his vision as he ran around with his hands in his pants trying to remove the snake. He dropped the jade pin in panic. The pin cracked in the fall. It emitted a small radiance as it turned to dust.

As Xia che suffering from pain, Yukiya was facing off the thunder beast Raiju. She jumped on the wall of crystals and tried attacking the neck of the big wolf with her flower sceptre. It dodged to the side and swept her with its tail. Moving back slightly she summoned her jade lotus bow and launched continues arrowed at its rear.

Raijin ran towards the wall and did a back flip to dodge all the arrows. The koi kept launching attacks after attacks. He just tried evading at most. She jumped on the nearby crystal formation to slice him with her sceptre. Raijin swept his tail to defend against her. At this moment a bright light entered her and she stumbled on her jump. The thunder beast's tail swept her towards the nearby wall. Yukiya crashed into the crystal formation. It shattered upon impact and she lost consciousness.

Raijin changed back to his human form and looked at the woman on the floor. He had been fighting this fish for almost 10 years now but she never gave up. Even when she had the chance to mortally hurt me she choose not to. Their fights were mostly just spar; they never used their entire power against each other.

Looking at the woman pitifully lying on the floor he had no choice but to kill. His masters in the small cave and if the woman enters it, she might disturb his cultivation. His master has always been a cultivation fanatic, going into closed door cultivation often.

This time he chose this red crystal amethyst cave to go into close door cultivation. He sealed up all the entrances and exits and ordered him to stay guard as he cultivated. He had been staying guard for 500 years; some stupid humans always find a way inside but they would always be killed by me.

'It is my duty to protect my master from any kind of harm. God forgive me for this' he prayed as he took his beast form and lifted his paws to crush the woman.

"Raijin what is all this ruckus about" came a voice from the small cave. "Master you are back. How was your cultivation?" the wolf ran back to its master, tail wagging.

"My neck hurts trying to look up at you. Shrink would you" he requested the thunder wolf. It shrunk back and took the form of a small puppy wagging its tail at its master.

"Master, master, I missed you too much. Look at me I have lost a pound of fluff" the wolf pup rotated around to show its body to his master. His master squatted down and picked up the puppy in his arms.

"What have you been doing these years? Did you finish the books I told you to read?"

The wolf ears dropped down and whimpered "They were too hard for me to understand master." He whined as he rubbed up against his pant legs "but you can teach me again" the pup huffed with its tongue out.

"Yes, yes definitely. You are my cute little pup after all" he said in a proud voice. "Master, some humans came to invade this came 100 years once but I killed them all. This time a persistent one came in, she never hurt me. I think she just wanted to leave this cave. You have closed up all the entrances ah. So i had to fight her for 10 years" the wolf pouted.

"10 years? Your skills have declined little one" the man said patting the wolf's head. The wolf dropped its head in defeat.

The man noticed a woman near the crystal wall. Some crystals have pierced her fine skin.

Touching his skin he squatted down to observe the woman. 'She is a fish beast' he thought as he sniffed the air.

"Hey, wake up" he patted the woman's shoulder. "I am ordering you. Wake up now" he ordered at the unconscious woman. The woman did not move. "Wakeeee uppppp" he shook her by the shoulder. Her head fell to the side at this action.

"Ah she's dead" he said in a boring tone.

"Haaaa master stop shaking her, she is not dead yet. You should learn to be delicate to the fairer sex" he said as he bit the man's cuffs.

"Fair? I am fairer than this woman though." His cultivation fanatic master was ignorant about many mortal affairs. Wolf shook his head in disappointment.
