*** " It's okay, you will be fine, I'm here now", He said cautiously as he tried to calm her down. Sophia was still in a daze as he embraced her, His words kept repeating in her head and she suddenly clutched the knife in her hands tightly. "l-let go, let me go", she yelled as she forcefully pulled herself from his embrace and pointed the knife at him. Kieran who hadn't been expecting her sudden actions was stunned to see her like that. His gaze immediately flashed with a cold light but soon disappeared like it was never there. "You? You did this right?", Sophia asked in a trembling voice. Kieran's brows furrowed at her question as he wondered how stupid she was to blame him. "I didn't, just give me the knife and let's get out of here, I promise I will find them for you and make them pay", Kieran said calmly as he stretched his hand out to receive the knife from her. "I don't believe you, you are a bad person", Sophia cried out miserably as her shaky hands tried to keep a firm grip on the handle of the knife. Kieran was once again stunned by her behavior, He then tried to take a step towards her... Chapter 1_ " Sophia's Pov (Funny but Strange)

I have always wondered why my life could never be perfect for once. I never asked for much or did wrong to anyone but the tragedies I have experienced made me feel doubtful. Standing in front of the Doctor as he told me about the urgency of my mother's surgery made me realize how unfair life has been to us. We don't deserve this at all! When I was much younger my family was happier and content. Though we were poor my Mom and Dad never failed to give their very best for us and we lived just fine. Until that day when everything changed, that day marked the beginning of our sufferings and till today we still haven't moved on completely. Mom got a call that Dad had been injured on the site, he had fallen from an uncompleted building at the construction site where he worked and died on the spot. He had missed his steps while working. My mother had cried so much that nothing or anyone could calm her down. She stayed like a soulless person for about a week until she realized that she still had the two of us, my younger brother and me. It rained heavily that night adding more to our misery. He didn't deserve it, He was a good man, a cheerful soul, and did everything he could for his family. I didn't even have the guts to stare at his dead body at the hospital, I was just too traumatized by the news alone but my brother Steven had seen him, He had stared at him for so long that even the Doctors and Nurses got worried. After what seemed like forever he walked to me where I sat and hugged me, He was the only one that didn't cry. "Funny but strange ", I thought to myself. Life was never the same after that, Mom worked less and I had to take up most of the responsibilities at home. I changed, we all changed. Despite it all I never gave up on my dreams to be a story writer in the entertainment industry, it's something I have wanted but I always got turned down either for being a woman or you came across as a pervert. Who said it was only the actresses that had it rough?
