It was a long journey from Maine to new york I was so tired and Amelia was also carrying Little Maria who has slept all through our journey from Maine..

where is my mom? I asked the gateman!

there she is , he responded.

She was coming out from the front door of the mansion.

Welcome Amelia, how have you been and Maria? said Mrs jennifer,

we where doing just fine, Amelia said as she walked straight Into the house.

Hello mom trust you are good? I asked my mom but she kept silent without uttering a word from her mouth while she walk inside the house and I followed her.

I know you are still angry with me Amelia, I am sorry.

I have done so many bads to you In the past, I want you to know I am a changed person now, kindly look for a place in your heart to forgive me. Mrs Jenifer said as she walked towards Amelia holding her hands.

I forgive you long time ago, whatever it is that has happened between both of us for the past I have forgive and forget, Amelia said.

( Four months later)

Lucas mother, jenifer's, seemed to be very loving and kind towards Me and Maria. She would often come to the house to help with the baby and bring gifts for the family. However, as time went on, i began to notice that jenifer's behavior towards me and maria was becoming increasingly strange.

Jennifer would often make backhanded compliments towards Me, criticizing my parenting and housekeeping skills. She would also make snide remarks about Maria, saying that she was too loud or too demanding.

One day, I was out running errands, Jennifer came over to the house to watch Maria. When I returned, I found jenifer yelling at my baby and shaking her violently. i was horrified and immediately confronted jenifer, telling her to leave our house and never come back. She began to spread lies about Me to Lukas, saying that i was a bad mother who couldn't take care of my own child. She would even go so far as to sabotage family events that Me and Lukas were attending, making sure that we were left out or made to feel unwelcome.

Despite jenifer's wicked behavior, Lukas and i remained strong and committed to each other. Lukas refused to let his mom toxic behavior tear us apart and we continued to build a happy life together, freely even with jenifer's cruelty.

Since we came back from new york my mom , dad and my sisters did not visit us because of Lukas mom, until today when Sophia visited me on a surprise visit.

I went to pick her at the garage after she had called me earlier that she is almost at the car park without informing me of her visit earlier.

I was so happy to see Ava, she has been my favorite amongst my other sisters, Hey" I said to her who is standing with a traveling box on her right hand and a small gucci bag on the other hand.

she turned and with excitement she jumped to hug me dropping the both bags to the floor,

Hey sis, how have you been, Sophia said still hugging me tightly,

that is enough Ava, I helped her carry her bags into the car boot and I drove home.

Babe I am pregnant, I told my husband who was sitting on the three sitter sofa in our suiting room, pressing his phone,

with joy and excitement Lucas dropped his phone and stand up from where he was sitting, you said what honey??

I said I am pregnant, with joy surrounding his face, Lucas drew me closer to him and hold me in my waist , smiling and dancing without music.

My mother-in-law came to our sitting room pretending to come for the Tv remote, My husband an I was still holding each other. It took her a moment to realized what was happening,

Mom Amelia is pregnant, Lucas said to his mom, who was standing pretending not to hear what Lucas said.

so Lucas moved closer to her and said, mom I said We are expecting a baby,

oh congratulations she said, looking at Amelia with a strange voice

she came to me and the following questions/comments ensue:

"How many times did you have to try before you got pregnant?"

"What day did you conceive? Especially what day, I need to know."

"Did a certain position do the trick?"

"Try your best not to gain too much weight, I lost weight when I was pregnant."

"Does your mother even care that you're pregnant?"

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"What are you going to name the baby?"

"When did you stop birth control?"

And finally, she said "I can't believe you did this behind my back" in a very angry voice, followed by tears.

Then she cried for 25 minutes saying "I'm going to hold that baby so tight" over and over. She was too upset to eat after that so she left.

why was she crying? I can tell she was playing a trick, Sophia asked, coming in from the kitchen , the kitchen was just standing at the left corner of our living room!

don't mind her she has started with her Connie ways I said.

But sis I am pregnant, I said happily,

Sophia with a more delighted look on her face pick her phone , called my mom and break the new to her.

you should calm down Ava, we have not even confirmed if it's a boy, a girl, or twins,

we both Burst out of laughter. twins I shouted ??

I will have to take one home with me, Ava said.

you can take them both, Let's see if Lucas will not get you arrested, I said.

Definitely I must get you both arrested, Lucas said walking in from the from door, I can't trade my children for anything, they must stay with me, he said.

since when have you been eavesdropping on our conversation? Amelia asked!

since you started gossiping on how to share my babies without my consent I said.

Lucas went near Amelia and place his ear on her stomach, I can here my prince calling daddy Lucas said!.

Then what about the princess? what did she say Amelia asked!

She also say hi to her mother Lucas said, and we both Burst into laughter.

" THE NEXT DAY"

Jenifer's walked into the living room where Amelia was watching "Oprah winfrey show" she took the Television remote on the Sitting room center table and changed the tv station different from what Amelia is watching.

Amelia stood up with an angry gaze on her face, and move to her room angrily.

Amelia, Amelia, Amelia love where are you ?? Ava came into Amelia's bedroom seeing how she lay down facing the opposite wall of the room entrance. Are you sleeping?? Ava asked as she walked close to Amelia to see if she was actually sleeping! to her suprise Amelia wasn't sleeping but crying in silent.

Hey, what is wrong with you sis Ava asked wrapping her arms around her sister who was still laying down on the bed crying. I know is that witch mother inlaw of yours, I will let her know nobody mess with my sister and go scot free.

Ava angrily stood up beside her sister ready to go and face Lucas mother, but Amelia held her hand back shaking telling her not to. But sis , Ava said!

I will have to call mom to inform her of the situation in this house, I don't want you hurt by that monster of a mother inlaw.. Ava said.

Mom please don't call mom I will be fine, Amelia said.

Hey honey am home, Lucas worked into the bedroom, with smile all over is face, I wouldn't want Ava to spoil is mood so I quickly gave her sign to leave the room, which she did.

I pretend nothing happened to my husband smiling at him. what could be the cause of this happiness of yours today? Amelia asked his husband.

you don't know how long I have missed you Lucas said.

I wanted to be of work tommorw to be with you, but I have a meeting with our shareholders tommorow, but I promised I will make it up to you before the week runs out.

where is my Maria ?? Lucas asked!

She should be with the nanny in her room sleeping. Amelia responded.

and how are my twins doing? Lucas asked, and what twins are you talking about Amelia responded with a funny look on her face.

They are fine I responded. I should go and see my beautiful angel now he said as he left the room to Maria's room.
