Qi Kingdom

Xiao Niao was placed onto a small short wooden table next to the tent wall while Zhang Qianbai walked to a small cabinet on the other side. He had a calm look on its face, however, Xiao Niao was the opposite.

'What fate shall await me now..?!'

She didn't dare to make a fuss and just stared at the prince's back until he turned around. A small dark brown box was placed just a few inches away from her.

Once Zhang Qianbai's hands took something out of the box, and got closer to her, she closed her eyes tightly. Although, nothing happened except a small sting from her wounds.

'Huh..?'

She opened her eyes slowly, only to find that this prince was cleaning her wounds with a cotton ball?! Would a prince know how to heal a bird? Shouldn't one of the soldiers do it instead?

Even though the cold looking prince was the one cleaning up the wounds, it didn't feel that bad. It mightve actually felt a little bit comfortable.

'I'm getting... a little.. sleepy..'

After that whole thing, Xiao Niao had used up all her stamina. She was also pretty mentally exhausted as well.

Zhang Qianbai, had a very faint smile appear on his cold face and his eyes became loving, after she fell asleep. If Xiao Niao ever saw it, her heart might've melted!

'What happened...? Urk!!'

She just remembered what happened the day before, her face started turning red. Xiao Niao was still laying on the table, and Zhang Qianbai was nowhere in sight. She got up and hopped off the table. Her wounds still hurt a bit, but she ignored it, and waddled outside the tent.

'Oh! Wind's awake!'

Outside the tent, Wind was sitting on Zimo's arm and eating some kind of berry. Xiao Niao flew in their direction and also landed on Zimo's other arm.

"Wind, your so lucky!"

"I know, Zimo is super gentle and caring~!"

It would be a lie to say that Xiao Niao wasn't a little jealous. She had to fall asleep on a table after 'that' happening, but the eagle that didn't do anything was sitting eating berries! How unfair the world was...

"Anyways, are you alright Xiao Niao? You look kinda injured."

"Well, you don't know, since you pasted out, but the prince came to save us at the last moment."

"Oh.. sorry about that...!"

Then the large white eagle gave this wierd... laugh... afterwards. Xiao Niao didn't say anything and snatched a few red berries out of Zimo's hand, as well as from Wind.

Later, the rest of the soldiers stored everything again, and Zhang Qianbai was leading them in some other direction, unlike when they went straight the entire time.

"Hey, Heima, do you know where we're going?"

She took a break from flying and sat just below Heima's neck. Naturally, Zhang Qianbai was also right behind her.

"I believe that I overheard the entire prince saying he was heading towards the Qi kingdom. While also taking care of the enemy camp as well."

'So we're heading to a kingdom? Hmm... seems like it'll take a while..'

She sat for a couple of seconds, and then opened the system store. The blue hologram appeared in front of her again. This time, she clicked on the [Items] tab.

Although she could only afford a restoration pill that she didn't need at the moment, it was still worth it to browse. Just in case.

'System, show me slightly more expensive items.'

Xiao Niao browsed through the items, but she didnt actually know when she would need something like these. She only had 5 system points left anyways. She then, looked through the skills after.

Xiao Niao closed the system store, and then looked up a little. It was a road up ahead of them! She hadn't seen one in a while, and it looked like it'll was used alot more than the other one.

It was a pretty long road as well. She couldn't even see all the way to the farthest part from where she was sitting. It seemed to have went around the Forest of Secrets.

Heima and the other soldiers joined onto the road and followed it. Wind had already flied around for a while, and sat right next to Xiao Niao for a little rest. They both talked to each other, as well as Heima, for about an hour.

"I can see a large wall!"

"Me too!"

"That should be the Qi kingdom."

Heima was already used to traveling a land seeing different places, but not Wind and Xiao Niao. They hadn't seen a kingdom before, so it probably looked amazing to them. It wasn't long before they reached the gates of the kingdom.

It was one large wooden gate on the wall, guarded by four soldiers at the end of the road.

"Any identification with you?"

Zhang Qianbai took out a gold token with his family name carved into it. The Guards didn't question anything any longer and moved aside to open the gates. He also put back the token on his waist. Then, all the soldiers entered behind Zhang Qianbai.

The moment they entered the kingdom, it was like an entirely different world! The roads and buildings made of bricks, and many different Qi Beasts walking around with their owners. Some were Middle level Qi beasts while few were lower levels.

'It looks amazing!'

Xiao Niao was getting super excited to explore. She could also see how eager Wind was. However, they both had to sit still until the prince finished whatever he needed to do. They were headed to a specific place in the Kingdom.

'I-Is this... A CASTLE?!?!?'

She had never seen a real life castle, and it was massive! Guards walking around the outside of the castle with their Qi beasts, and two people standing in front of the gates and doors.

Everyone had got off of the horses, so she and Wind also flew off of them.

"We have been waiting for your arrival, Third prince of the Shenhua Empire. Please, this way."

The two escorts that waited outside led the prince inside the castle. Naturally, Wind and Xiao Niao flew around him into the castle as well.
