Then the commander ranked spirit beast broke free of the ice, several of its heads lunging at my frost wyvern. My partner spirit beast immediately flapped his wings and hopped back several paces, flying just out of reach. He snarled and unleashed another wave of ice to freeze the beleaguered heads, but they broke free of the ice after a few seconds.

Originally, I didn't want to summon my frost wyvern. Compared to the commander ranked hydra, my frost wyvern was only warrior ranked. It would have been a one-sided battle where my poor partner spirit beast was slaughtered.
