146 Chapter 146 — Resuming At Anping First Middle School

Pei Yueran paused. His mother? Who was that? She knew several key figures in Gaoyi Group because she had done a bit of research, but she definitely didn't know his mother. "Who?"

Looking at her face filled with confusion, he supplied, "Her name is Qiao Mingran."

Pei Yueran still did not recognize the name. "I don't think so."

Gao Tinghua nodded. He didn't know why he even asked in the first place. Still, he said before leaving, "You look like her somehow, but you're more beautiful."

"Pffttt!" One of his team members spluttered.

Li Chuanmo gave him a look, anger clear in his hazel eyes before holding Pei Yueran's hand and leading her away.

Inwardly he was thinking, "This pesky fly. Should I really do something to keep him busy so that he won't run around my Ran anymore?"

In the car, Pei Yueran could tell that his mood had changed at a glance. After staying quiet for half of the trip, she asked, "Are you angry?"

"I only feel like choking a certain person to death. You tell me, is that anger?"

Pei Yueran's mouth formed an "O" shape from surprise. Li Chuanmo was radiating violence, causing even Gong Anwei —who was driving, to wish he could shrink and become invisible.

She held his large hand in her smaller one. The feel of her soft hand soothed Li Chuanmo somewhat. Her gentle call of "Chuan" further quelled his anger.

He sighed. "Fine, I'm no longer angry."

Pei Yueran smiled. At least he had finally calmed down. Gao Tinghua was really not worth anybody's emotions.

"But if someone accidentally chokes him to death, I'll give that person a million dollars."

Pei Yueran: "..."

She eventually said, "Just be a good citizen. You'll save more money that way."

"One million is considered nothing if I can get rid of such an annoying pest."

While Pei Yueran shook her head in mock horror, Li Chuanmo continued, "I have another idea. Why don't we sell that waste metal and use it to pay for his exit?"

Pei Yueran: "...."

The "waste metal" he was talking about was the sports car that Gao Tinghua sent to her for her birthday gift.

She refused it and returned it immediately, but he sent it back with a note that if she returned it again, he would replace it with an even more expensive one.

Resigned, she kept it, but left it parked at her house. Because everytime Li Chuanmo saw it at the company, he looked pissed off enough to kill.

"Chuan, you're so savage." She concluded.

"Uh-uhn, I love you too." He replied with a boyish grin while she shook her head with a smile.

This guy!

The week went by in a flash. Between going to work and arranging things for the boys, Pei Yueran had her hands full.

On his part, Li Chuanmo had liaised with Principal Shen and gone to see the dormitory. Knowing that his two sons were going to attend the school —one of them being Principal Shen's current favorite student, he expended effort in getting them one of the best rooms in the boys dormitory.

As a result, rumors quietly spread that there were two new students being given preferential treatment by the school.

When Li Chuanmo and Pei Yueran went to drop the boys off, there was a lot of hugging, with promises to keep in touch.

Anyone that didn't know would think they wouldn't see each other again. Li Chuanmo pretended he was fine with it, but on the way home, Pei Yueran could see that he was already missing Li Yuchen.

It made sense. Neither of them had been apart from each other for more than a few days. At least she had some experience after leaving Han Yichen in City A.

"He'll be back in two weeks, don't worry." She said as he drove.

Li Chuanmo nodded.

He had to get used to it. He would not be by his side forever.

The dormitory of Anping First Middle School was a huge sized structure with its own system of government.

It was made up of six buildings, three each for girls and boys. The female dormitory used the name of plants, so there was Peach Blossom, Cherry Blossom and Pear Blossom Courtyards.

The male dormitory on the other hand, was named after mythical animals, so there were Giant Qilin, Kun Peng and Azure Dragon Courtyards.

The dormitories was situated a distance away from each other, with a huge football court in between.

Each courtyard had five floors. The higher the floor, the number of people who lived in the rooms there, so those on the first floor lived alone, those on the second floor lived in twos and so on.

Each floor had five rooms each, and the rooms were all the same size, so those that lived on the first and second floors were the most comfortable.

Each room also had its own inbuilt bathroom and walk-in closet. There was also a small area for sitting and entertaining guests.

On each floor was a communal entertainment room, which was also where the floor mates had their monthly meetings, as well as a laundry room.

Han Yichen and Li Yuchen were arranged to live together in the middle room on the second floor of Giant Qilin Courtyard.

Their room looked like every other room from the outside, but after Li Yuchen and Han Yichen finished arranging, inside was a whole new world.

The wallpapers were changed to reflect their tastes. The right side of the room was truly minimalist. Even the wallpaper was white and black, but with Han Yichen sitting in that space, it seemed to give off its own charm.

His shelf of books was neatly lined along the wall at the far end of the room, while his desk and computer was placed adjacent to it.

On the other hand, the left side was so bright that the lightbulb seemed redundant. Brightly colored wallpaper of numerous game characters dotted the wall.

Somehow, Li Yuchen was even able to sneak in a few game accessories. It was mainly because Principal Shen told the dormitory master to be lenient with both of them.

Those accessories were now neatly arranged on his topmost shelf. The rest of the space had his school textbook and a few programming books.

His computer was also placed on his desk, just like Han Yichen.

Then his giant humidifier, which he insisted on bringing from home, was placed by the wall.

According to him, "My skin is too precious to be allowed to dry out. Poor me, far away from home, without my father and mother. I have to watch out for myself."

Han Yichen: O_o

Whatever you say.

After setting up the room to his satisfaction, Li Yuchen decided it was time to go out and explore.

Dragging the totally uninterested Han Yichen along, they went out of Giant Qilin Courtyard and went in the direction of Kun Peng.

Most first year students lived in Giant Qilin, while second and third year students mostly lived in Kun Peng and Azure Dragon Courtyards respectively.

The exceptions were the students who chose to change their dormitories for one reason or the other.

Each dormitory had their colors. Giant Qilin's was grey and light purple. Kun Peng was yellow and brown, while Azure Dragon was blue and white.

Just as they got to the gate, they bumped into a group of youngsters coming out. No one fell, but Li Yuchen hit his hand on the black gate.

"Hey, watch where you're going." He said, checking his arm for bruises.

With one look, one of the boys came forward and smirked. "Indeed, enemies meet on a narrow road."
