1 Prologue

It was dark, an endless abyss of nothingness, encompassing all who led eyes on it. As Nietzsche said, "if you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you."

"I guess this is the end," I thought as I stare into the endless starry night. I shifted my gaze and stared into the wound that has become my end. I simply wonder how did it come to this.

You see it was a simple act I, your average, neighborhood teen decided to play a hero. Yes, I believe Amit Kalantri said it best "If monkey became a man, then a man can become a hero." It was night, as I was traversing the dark, desolate, wasteland I call my neighborhood. I heard a call, nay a cry for help at the moment without considering the consequence I leaped into action tracing the cry to an alleyway. Some may call it heroic, others idiocy it was a woman and man who appeared to be in the process of robbing her, without considering my options, I jumped in between them and rushed at the man, through prior less moral experiences I was able to hold the man back.

As I turn around, hoping to receive my thanks. "Sshhluck!" the sound of a dagger piercing my abdomen, as I stared into the eyes of the women, I begin to make my descend to the ground

Before I could let out a word, I hear them make a hastened exit. Now I lay here, back to the ground, facing toward the stars.

My eyelids slowly drooping, I try to take my last few glimpses of the night sky, then there was darkness. I awaken in an endless abyss with one light source, I stand facing it, a screen.
