My Food Is My Food.
None Of Your Food.

.............................

GAVREEL'S POV :

"Are you hungry?" the three of them asked in unison. I couldn't help but giggle at the synchronized question. Their stares, filled with awe and love, were unwavering, and in that moment, I felt a warmth in my heart, reassured by the connection we were building.

"Well, on second thought, I am hungry," I replied after calming down a bit. Their eyes seemed to light up at my response, and I couldn't help but wonder at their reactions.

"Let's get some food in you, shall we? We'll make so many delicious dishes for you that you'll love us," my mate Demon suggested. At those words, my heart seemed to clench, as if someone had gently squeezed it in their hands. The mix of emotions—anticipation, affection, and the unknown—made the moment even more special.

Acting on my impulse, I sat up on the soft, cloud-like bed. Raising my hands, I cupped his face in my palms, bringing it down to the level of my face, and kissed his forehead gently.

"You don't need to do anything at all for me to love you. You guys are so lovely that I may be already falling for you," I whispered softly, my lips against his forehead. It was as if speaking any louder would shatter the delicate moment we were sharing.

Where did this courage come from? I didn't know, but I couldn't fathom the idea of the men who loved me from the first sight feeling desperate to win my love. In my world, perhaps they would have needed to prove themselves, but here it was different. I knew what I was getting myself into, and I had accepted it. I was their mate, and they loved me, were smitten with me. In return, I felt the same way. They were great people, and I wasn't afraid of giving my heart to the wrong hands. Why was I overthinking so much today? Had I gone mad after finding such attractive, hot mates?

"Well, love, you sure as hell are not mad, but we are extremely glad that you think of us as attractive. Let alone hot." teased Azazel's voice. Wait, did I say that aloud? No, it was in the mind link thingy. Oh, goodness! That was embarrassing. Someone please dig me a hole.

"We'll most definitely make sure to dig a big and cozy hole for you, love. But first, let's go get something in your tummy. Hmm?" said Demon. Oh my dog! I need to stop—Gavreel, they can hear you.

They all chuckled, and Lucifer bent over, picking me up in a bridal style as I let out a surprised yelp. He secured me to his muscular chest and said, "Don't worry, love. We'll teach you how to cut off the mind link after a meal. It's not too hard." Oh dear, he doesn't know what coding is, does he? I've dealt with harder things; just what might this mind link be?

The bullet train of my thoughts was forced to halt by a kiss and my lips and it ended as soon as it started. Who might be the culprit thus time? Any guesses. Yes! Your right my lovely people. It's the almighty King Lucifer himself, stealing kisses from a poor little lamb without any regret or shame at all.

''First of all I don't need to be ashamed to kiss my mate. Second there is coding here. How else do you think we are this advanced. Thirdly I kissed you cause we are already in the kitchen and we want to know if you have any allergies, any preference for your food. And lastly even if the mate bond isn't complete yet, we can still feel it through your power, knowledge and strength through it. So don't worry, we know just how amazing you are kitten.'' Lucifer said. It's just amazing, isn't it?

"We are in the kitchen already? Aren't we in a castle? I thought it would take hours and a lot of stairs to reach there," I said curiously. How did this happen? I know they have long legs, but this fast? It's like we're in the room, and blink! We're in the kitchen.

"We aren't human, dear. We are fast, even while walking. We could have been even faster if we just transported, but we did not want to overwhelm you. And you were kinda busy with your colorful thoughts, so you didn't notice the time too," teased Lucifer. Can anyone even imagine that these scary Kings can tease too?

"Um... I'm not allergic to anything. And I like a little spicy food, not too much though. And I don't eat anything non-veg other than an egg and its mother. Um, and I love different cuisines, so maybe surprise me?" I shared my food preferences with them.

"Hmm. Okay, love. You stay here and entertain yourself; we'll come back in a minute," said Azazel. I didn't doubt it. They might literally be gone for a second and then return with a table full of food. I gave them an okay sign with my fingers, signaling them to go ahead. And poof! They're gone. I might need to hurry up and get used to it, or else one day I might die of a heart attack, and they'll be like, "Oh my, little one. What happened? We just came to gaze into your eyes so deep that we can see your soul, like usual." I'll be like, "You didn't come, you just appeared out of nowhere and gave me a damn heart attack." And I forgot once again that they can hear me, so shoot.

''You, little Gavreel are an item.'' They said, at the same time.

'Pay attention to your work and stop being a peeping Tom in my thoughts will ya?' I said sweetly in my thoughts knowing very well that they can hear me loud and clear.

''OK'' They said again and went on mute mode.

As I took in the vintage surroundings, the worn-out yet charming furniture hinted at a history that lingered in the room. The combination of the living room and kitchen created an open and spacious atmosphere, though the lack of a cozy touch left the space feeling somewhat cold and distant.

My curiosity got the better of me, and I decided that perhaps a bit of rearranging and personalization could infuse some warmth into the place. The kitchen counters held the promise of delightful culinary creations, and the vintage aesthetic, while interesting, needed a modern touch.

With a sense of determination, I began to envision how I could transform the space into a more inviting and comfortable haven. Perhaps a few throw pillows on the couch, a soft rug under the coffee table, and some strategically placed potted plants could breathe life into the room. I considered suggesting these changes to the person preparing the meal, thinking that a collaborative effort might make the space more enjoyable for both of us.

Lost in my thoughts and plans for a mini home improvement project, I suddenly became aware of a slight noise behind me. Pausing my mental redecoration, I stilled and turned around cautiously, unsure of what might await me in this seemingly vintage-inspired yet mysterious environment. Only to be frightened, horrified and almost pass out.

[Note From Gavreel : Can anyone guess what I saw? Comment and like]
