1 Dream come true

I have always daydreamed about that day my best friend and I will go on a vacay, I tell her ' girl you better don't think of getting married anytime soon because you and I are going to travel to an island in Maldives one day, we will walk naked on the beach and hunt for handsome hot guys to have one night stand with and she says ' you are crazy, I am getting married in December' and we both laugh it off.

Limah has always been a traditional girl and she also believes in traditional stuff but mind you she is very open minded, we attend night parties together, hang out with boys, and talk about all sort of intimate stuff but that does not make her forget about her religious ethics, you can never see Limah without her hijab and she always dresses modest despite the fact that I always try to convince her to loosen up a bit cause I was sick of seeing her in those baggy skirts and the traditional attire she is always putting on.

She wears all that because she's blessed, you know, fat ass coupled with big hips and don't even get me started with her massive boobs and tiny waist. Trust me If figure eight was a person then that will be Limah cause God really moulded her well, you know that feeling when you see someone and be like 'damn God really took his time to create this one' that is exactly what you'd say when you set your eyes on Limah. Asides her shape, Limah has that golden Carmel skin with a perfect shaped oval face, beautiful brown eyes like that of my cat lizzy, cute pointed small nose with an impeccable lips, i mean she's so beautiful, Beyoncé could Never!!!

Well I am a babe too you know, tall brown skin curvy and beautiful, especially my smile, people always compliment my white teeth and my thick brows. Have you ever heard of that phrase 'fine girl no make up' yeah, that is me!.I am not fat nor thin, i always wish I had hips to compliment my fat ass, aside that I am a girl to die for, all thanks to Ma I look exactly like her.

I met Limah in high school, she was this really chubby girl, I have never seen anyone like that in my life, that day, I couldn't stop staring at her, her cheeks were so big that they were almost covering her eyes. She smiled to me and said 'hi' she looked so beautiful, that was the first time we spoke to each other , we were both assigned to the same dorm, she was too nice, I remember how I use to trick her into doing my laundry cause I am too lazy to do it myself. I didn't have to miss home too much cause I had her around, she's my baby girl for life. Mind you, she lost all those weight,my girl sexy now!

Limah had just written her medical board exam, that exam had always been her worst fear cause of the stories she heard about how people failed a lot and also coupled with the fact that she had written the exam before and she's didn't make it so passing the exam this time was really a big deal for the both of us. I heard my phone ringing, I checked the caller and it was my best friend.

"Hey girl, whats up?" I said as I answered the phone

"Dina, the results are out" she said on the other end

At this point, my heart was racing but I tried to keep my cool

"Ok, how is it"? I asked trying to be as calm as possible

"I made it, I passed" she screamed so loud in my ears and me forgetting the fact that I was at work, I also screamed out loud

"Yesssss, gosh I am so excited, congrats girl, you made it" I said still screaming

I guess that scream was so loud cos it caught the attention of my boss

"Hey Dina is everything okay"?? He asked almost irritate

"Yes boss, I am just excited" I replied

"Keep it low then"

"Alright boss." I replied him with a big smile on my face, ignoring his almost irritated expression.

My boss Mr George is a very principled man. According to him, total professionalism should be observed while at work, you have no reason to go around chitchatting, your assignments must be submitted as at when due or even earlier. He doesn't believe there's anything as "over-working" so he expects you to be extremely productive. Mr George is the general manager of our department so everyone tries so hard to be on their best behavior when he's around cos you certainly don't want to get on his bad side.Asides his overly principled self, mr George is a very handsome man, his 6ft'4 height and his perfectly built structure compliment his dark skin that shines like an Italian leather shoe, his dark brown eyes could easily sweep any girl off her feet, he has the "low cut" hair thats got lot of waves and oh, his lips, those soft pink lips that could melt you just by staring at them.

"Ok that's enough" I said to myself , snapping back to reality.

I picked up my phone and sent Limah a message that I'd call her back when I got home. Later that night after I had showered and had dinner which I bought from a new restaurant close to the office, I called my best friend and we spoke for long hours over the phone, our conversation had been majorly centered around our long overdue trip to Maldives.

Maldives is one of my favorite places to visit in the world and now my dream is finally going to come true as my best friend and I are traveling to my favorite place in the world this weekend. What a great time to be alive, I said to myself.

As excited and overjoyed as I was, one thing still bothered me, how was I going to leave work and go for a vacation?? What would I tell my boss at work? I kept on thinking about the perfect lie I was going to say to my boss cause Mr George is a smart man sometimes I am even convinced he is a psychic.

I woke up the next morning feeling surprised like I didn't even know when I slept off cos i had so many things I had planned to do that night, well I guess I must have been exhausted by the thought Of the lie I was going to lay down to my boss. Come to think of it i have a girlfriend who lies for a living. I'd just call her and shed give me the perfect excuse to be off work for at least two weeks cause mannn,I am about to go live my best life. I said to myself, feeling very excited.

I hopped into shower, took a quick bath cause I was already running late for work. On my way I placed a call to Elsa. Elsa is my friend's friend and I can't even recall how we became so close, I guess I really enjoy her company even tho we haven't seen eye to eye before, one thing Elsa is good at is lying. The phone kept on ringing but this psycho girlfriend of mine won't pick up, not like it is surprising, I mean Elsa never pick her calls plus her phone is always switched off. It's a miracle it's even ringing today, but the great part is, she always call back so I'll just have to wait for her to call me.

I alighted from the bus when I got to my stop. My phone started ringing but I couldn't pick up cause I was on the road. I was just few steps away from my office when the phone rang again, it was Elsa and this time I was able to pick up.

"Hey Dina, how are you?" Elsa said as I answered the phone

"I'm good Elsa, you?" I replied

"I'm fine, I am sorry I missed your call, I was taking care of Lucy you know how these kids are" she said. I almost forgot she has a kid.

"Ooh it's alright, well I need to go for a vacay and I need you to help me come up with a lie I can tell to my boss, you know, a believable lie" I replied with a smirk on my face cos I knew what was coming next

"Diiiiinnnnaaaaa!! She screamed my name and continued "which nigga is taking you for a vacation???"

"Bitch stop screaming just help me out, I will fill you in with the details later." I replied with a smile on my face

"Okay girl I gat you" she replied and hung up.

I walked into the office and realized I was the last to reach the office, well the boss wasn't't around so I wasn't't really bothered cos if not, I'd have been scared outta my ass cos I know he's always about punctuality.Time moved so fast and there was nothing much to do in the office today so I just took the time to watch my fav Tv show ' Scorpion' . I watched it till the entire last season and I am mad about the fact that the scorpion family had split, I mean, they are perfect together, how could they even split, now they will be competing against each other? That sucks!!

My phone buzzed, I checked it and saw it's a new message from Elsa, it says ' Family emergency'. That was all I needed to go for my dream vacation but the problem now is how to go confront my boss, I want to inform via text message but that'd be cowardly of me right? Ugh, I need to gather all the courage have got to tell him cause I am leaving that weekend and it had to be done today. I go ahead to my office husband Ramsey, he is the one I am more close to of all my colleagues ,he's the only Guy that works in the office aside my bosses plus he made it so easy for me to get along with him, I basically tell him everything.

"Ramsey darling" I said with a grin on my face

He looked at me and rolled his eyes, because he knows anytime I call him that way, it means I need something and I'd disturb him till I get what I want. Well today isn't any different so that eye rolling is for his pocket cause he knows he has no choice other than to listen.

I sat down on the chair close to his and moved closer to him, he looked at me and said

"Dina what is the problem this time, please don't disturb me I am busy"

"Well I am not leaving you alone until I tell you what I came here to say so you better listen to me now and continue your work or don't listen and be unable to work, the choice is yours to make" I said with a pout

He took a deep sigh and said "okay Dee I am listening". Ramsey is the only that calls me Dee around here. He say Dina is too long. I really wonder how a four letter word is too long.

After listening to my story he suggested I practice what I plan to say to mr George on him before going to meet him and I agreed.

"Mr George Good afternoon sir"

"What is it Dina" Ramsey said trying to sound like my boss. Well my boss always responds like that.

"Sir, my mum asked me to come home this weekend, she said it is a family emergency" I said

"Hope everything is alright at home ?"

"I don't know sir, she didn't't tell me anything"

"Okay, will you be gone for long ?"

"I really don't know sir"

"Okay Dinna, you can go."

"See, that wasn't't so hard" Ramsy said

"Well it wasn't so hard cause it's you and not George". I said as took the book on the table and hit it on his head.

"Dina what did you do that for ???" he screamed.

I stick out my tongue out and laughed at him while I walked back to my table.

I got back to my desk and realized it was almost lunch time and Mr George isn't back to the office."He most likely still be at the meeting he went for earlier" I thought to myself.I'd have to wait for him to come back to the office so I can talk to him before going for lunch.

"Dina!!!" I heard my name from the toilet. That sounds like Mr George's voice.I am kinda depressed to hear his voice other than being excited cause whenever he calls my name like that he usually has a bulk load of work to give me."I am definitely screwed" I said to myself. I wasn't't doing anything in the bathroom, I just went there to look at my face in the mirror cos I am addicted to my mirror, i call it my baby. I literally go into the bathroom to check my face every fifteen minute.I rush out of the bathroom to meet mr George and the first Person I saw was Tonia, tonia is our accountant who happens to be very annoying. That girl gets on my last nerve. Don't even get me started on how she chews that stupid gum, that will be a story for another day.

" Mr George is calling you" tonia said with an irritated look on her face.

I'd deal with this girl some day, I thought to myself.

I walk pass her without uttering a word and went straight to mr George's office

"Sir you called me" I said as I entered the office

"Yes, I need inventory on Camptravels fixed asset" mr George said

"Okay sir" I replied him with a depressed feeling in my heart.

I felt like hitting my head on the wall. If there was anything I hate the most it was doing inventory, it stress the fuck out of me but I can't complain cos I signed up for this job. I was about to leave his office before it came to my senses that I might not see him today again cos Camptravels is our subsidiary and I have to go down there to do the inventory which takes hours. I had already opened his office door then I closed it back and told him about the family emergency the same way I had practiced with Ramsey, to my surprise he gave me the exact response Ramsey had given me. It felt like Ramsey had entered my bosses mind to provide those responses earlier. I walked out of his office in excitement. The fact that mr George granted my request without any hassle encouraged me more to go to our subsidiary company for the inventory.

I had been there for hours and it was already past my closing time but I had to get everything done so I can send it to Mr George's email tonight. I do not like him to think of me as incapable. I finished everything and sent it to him around past seven and afterwards, I went straight home. I called Limah and told her I already got a pass for the weekend. After so much contemplation we decided to go to Filaidhoo island, we booked our hotel and flight tickets and the only thing left is to pack for our dream vacation.

I woke up the next morning feeling very lazy and didn't feel like going to work, the only thing I felt like doing was to pack for my vacay. I wished it was Friday but its only Tuesday. I had no choice but to get up, have my bath and off to work cos I didn't want to mess anything up by getting to work late or not showing up at all.

I stay in the office all day doing all the pending work I have and trying to convince our secretary to help me with my work while I am gone, it's not like she does anything in the office anyways, she just sit behind that desk and watch movies on YouTube, apply make up and gossip with her friends all day. I had to buy her shawarma before she agreed to help me while I was gone. Days passed by really fast and it was finally Friday, I woke up very early, prayed Fajr which is the prayer observed by Muslims before sunrise and then I brought my box out and started packing. I was almost done packing before i remember the very sexy lingeries and swim wears I had ordered, you know those steamy hot ones that'd make someone's son trip.

"This is going to be one memorable trip" I said to myself with a big smile.

I double checked my box to ensure I had put in all I need for this trip including my make up cause I am never going to be caught un fresh, Never!!! I picked up my phone and put a call to Limah.

"Hey bitch what's up"? I asked

"Bitch I am packing my bag for our dream vacay" limah screamed in excitement

"Yasss girl, we're finally living the dream" I also screamed in excitement

"Alright let's get back to packing cos we can't afford to be late. Call me when you get to the airport " I said to my best friend over the phone"

We were to meet at the airport by 8am cause our flight is by 10am and it is going to be a hell of a journey cos we stay in London and its 12 hours from London Gatwick to the island.I was done packing by 6 am and quickly went to have my bath with so much joy in my heart but deep down I was kinda scared cause have got a phobia for flights. Well I tired as much as possible to push that phobia aside cause this one there is no going back.

I finished having my bath around 6:40am, oh yes, I had a beauty bath. I wore the new adidas set I bought a few months ago to wear for a special occasion like this, I applied a lil makeup, put on my favorite perfume from Rihanna's collection cos I am a huge fan of Rihanna, i put on my sneakers, my designer shades.

I booked my uber and few minutes later, my driver arrived and we headed straight to the airport. The driver seemed really nice, he was playing Akon's "Sunny day", which is one of my favorite songs and Akon is my favorite musician of all time, I love him so damn much, I was singing along really loud, so was the driver, we gist and laughed as we were moving, finally we arrived at the airport which is about 50miles away from they city.

I called Limah immediately to let her know I had arrived at the airport and she told me she was on her way. I went in and the counter had just been opened, British Airways was just setting up so I found a place to sit down just till after they were done setting so I can check in my luggage.

"Dina"!!! Someone screamed my name, I immediately knew it was Limah!!

I stood up and gave my girl a big hug

"How are you feeling ??" she asked

"Girl I am excited, what do you think??" I said to her with a smile and we both laughed.

The was already set up and we both proceed to the queue, it got to our turn, we checked in our luggages and we proceed to the boarding room. It felt like a dream. We planned this few days ago and here we are, our flight was announced and we proceeded to board. We located our seats which are beside one another and settled in. Few minutes later the pilot announced that we were about to take off, this is the moment my phobia sets in, I thought to myself. Limah noticed my fear and held my hand as the plane was moving, we prayed and I smiled at her and said 'Maldives here we come'. And just like we were off the ground, up high in the sky, flying.....
