Chapter 31: Thatch is alive!

Thatch was overcome with emotion and hugged Majima tightly, saying, "Majima, I blame myself for not heeding your warning. If I had, Teach wouldn't have been able to take me and capture Ace. It's all my fault!"

Thatch deeply regretted his mistake.

"Majima, how is this possible? How are you able to meet me, who is already dead? Does this mean that you are also..." Suddenly, Thatch realized something and pulled away from Majima, looking at him with concern.

Thatch expressed his guilt, "I would be a sinner if Teach killed Majima!"

Majima was confused by Thatch's statement. 'Oh, Thatch still doesn't know he's been resurrected?'

Majima chuckled and patted Thatch on the shoulder. "Look around, where do you think we are?" Thatch looked confused, "Isn't this my grave?" Majima pointed out, "You're now alive, unlike a minute ago when you were already decomposing inside that casket."

He punched Thatch's back, causing him to feel suffocated but also excited about the physical contact. "This is real, unlike the feeling of being a soul," Thatch realized.

He punched himself again in excitement and exclaimed, "My God! I'm really resurrected, Majima! What's going on? I was dead, so how can I be resurrected? It must be because of you, right?!"

"Take it easy!" Majima said, shrugging. "Yeah, I happened to come across a treasure today that has the power to bring back the dead. I used it on you. But don't go dying again, I can only use it once. It's a one-time thing."

Although Majima still has two Reanimation Jutsu cards left, he doesn't want others to know that he possesses such overpowered items.

Furthermore, it is rumored that the treasure can only grant one resurrection, highlighting the preciousness of this opportunity.

Thatch's body tensed up at the realization that he could only be resurrected once.

"Majimaaa!!!" Thatch hugged Majima tightly, expressing his deep gratitude. "I will cherish this life and fight with honor to repay you."

Majima patted Thatch on the back. "That's not important. What's important is that you treat me to some delicious hometown cuisine as a reward for saving your life."

Thatch burst out laughing when he heard Majima's request: "Haha, of course! I'll cook you a delicious meal every day!"

Then, Thatch asked about the other captains: "Since I just got resurrected, shouldn't we have a celebration banquet with the other captains?"

Majima informed Thatch that the other captains are occupied with enhancing their abilities and gearing up for the impending fight against the Marines. He suggested postponing the celebration until they secure a triumph in battle. Thatch expressed regret for his previous lack of awareness and vowed to train diligently to assist in saving Ace, acknowledging that it was their duty as a crew.

Majima suggested that he would take Thatch to a place that would be helpful to his development. He emphasized that if Thatch wants to improve his strength, he has to rely on comics.

Majima also advised Thatch not to rush to talk about his resurrection with others and wait until the Whitebeard Pirates and Naval Headquarters go to war when Teach appears.

Majima had a twisted sense of humor and couldn't help but think about the amusing scene of Teach being scared by Thatch's resurrection. Thatch, however, was more concerned about Teach's strength and doubted his ability to defeat him. Majima pointed out that Teach was likely stronger than Marco, which shocked Thatch even more. Although Majima reassured him that Marco and the Whitebeard Pirates would be ready to take on Teach in a few months,

Majima noticed that Thatch was worried and patted him on the shoulder reassuringly, saying, "Don't worry, Thatch. Compared to before, Marco has grown stronger and Teach wouldn't be able to defeat him easily. When the war begins in a few months, He will be able to take on Teach!"

Thatch remained skeptical. Despite this, he followed Majima as he invited him to explore the new world.
