Chapter 64

Ten minutes later, Yuhao arrived at a nondescript door, in a random back alley. If it wasn't for his fairly cheat-level skill and his two spirit beasts helping him, Yuhao was certain in the fact that he would never have found this place.

As he stood outside the door, he asked Amra, who was seeing inside, "Are they still in the same place as before?"

Amra shook his head, "No, the one that is slightly taller has gone into the room with the girl. I can't hear what he is saying, or more like yelling, but by the looks of it, it isn't anything good as the girl is crying in a corner."

This caused all of the three active beings, as well as the Yuhao's other three companions, being Daydream, Kunou and Bing Bing, to frown.

"That doesn't sound good, but it gives me a good opportunity to take out the first guy," Yuhao said.

"How are you planning on doing it? All guns blazing or sneak in and take them out silently?" Shiva asked.

Yuhao nodded, "Definitely the stealth route. If I alert the second guy inside the room, who knows what he would do to the girl. I need to take them both out quickly and without making a sound. Therefore, I will use my Stalking Reaper skill. It will allow me to take the stealth route without worry."

Shiva nodded while Amra simply stated, "Good luck."

Yuhao nodded to himself before activating the spirit bone in his left leg. When he did, he felt, more than saw, his body becoming transparent and his presence diminishing massively. Furthermore, he gained the instinctive knowledge of how he is supposed to move while in this state considering he is unable to physically walk as he used to. While in this incorporeal state, he more or less 'glides' along the ground using just his intent. To complete the stealth route, he used his Spiritual Detection skill to make himself completely invisible.

As his mean of attack, he released his FrostFire spirit. Like his body, this spirit was currently in an incorporeal state and invisible. For Yuhao to physically attack using it, he must first drop his activated Stalking Reaper spirit bone ability. Satisfied with his preparation, Yuhao simply glided through the nondescript door.

Yuhao moved through the building, past the dining and kitchen areas, past several bedrooms which were all fully furnished but trashed and had bloodstains, before finally arrived at the back room of the house. The second guy was still in the side room yelling at the girl. Being this close, Yuhao could finally hear what he was saying.

"YOUR MOTHER IS DEAD! YOUR FATHER IS DEAD! Do you think we would leave them alive?! You have NO ONE who cares for you! NO ONE who will be able to save you!" The man was methodically yelling over and over again, slowly breaking the mentality of the young, six-year-old girl.

Yuhao scowled hearing this. He has no hesitation in killing off these two kidnappers. While he would love to be able to cause a lot of pain to each of them, he is aware that doing so could either cause an accident to happen and possibly injure the girl, or some 'BS' situation could occur where they either use some treasure to escape or some random, strong and evil cultivator arrives to save them. Rather than risk it, it is better to just kill them off quickly.

In saying this, Yuhao had already manoeuvred around the room to position himself behind the first guy who was sitting. He didn't know how strong his cultivation or senses were, so rather than stupidly attack from the front, it would be better to attack from behind where even if the guy noticed, it would be too late the react to defend himself.

Silently and invisibly, Yuhao rapidly swung his FrostFire spirit and a second before the scythe blade connected, he deactivated his incorporeal status. Anti-climactically, the guys head was cleanly sliced straight through, but as a testament to the scythe's sharpness and Yuhao's speed, the man's head stayed 'attached' to his body. Yuhao quickly grabbed onto the separated head and body before it could fall and lightly pushed it to lean on the table. Blood swiftly began flowing out of the massive, gaping wound and spread out across the table and floor.

With one kill confirmed, Yuhao re-activated his incorporeal status and glided towards the side room. As he moved through the wall and into the room, he heard the second soon to be dead guy say, "Try to stay strong all you want. Eventually, you will break and when that happens, we can move you back to our headquarters."

The man awkwardly paused to evilly laugh before continuing stupidly expose himself and who he works for, "Once you are there, our dearest Death God will ensure you join our ranks as our first Holy Lady! HAHA."

Hearing enough and now knowing that these two evil spirit masters must be grunts for the Holy Ghost Church, Yuhao glided closer to the man before deactivating his incorporeal status and swinging his scythe blade once again. By instinct alone, before the blade connected, the man took a step forward and caused the scythe blade to miss. He quickly went to turn around however just as he did, Yuhao had already swung the blade again, only this time rather than in a horizontal motion, he had maintained the momentum and swung again in a vertical motion from bottom to top. In doing so, when the blade connected, the scythe easily sliced through his body, moving from his groin all the way his head. Blood sprayed everywhere as the two halves of the one body fell aside.

Yuhao quickly ran between the top separated halves and appeared in front of the curled up, crying girl. He allowed his FrostFire spirit to dissipate and deactivated both his incorporeal status and invisibility to obstruct the girl, who had just begun to look up to see why the man wasn't yelling at her anymore, from seeing the gruesome sight.

He reached out and covered the girl's eyes while he said, "Shh, your father sent me. He is alive."

As he said this and subconsciously understanding what Yuhao had said, the girl burst into tears and hugged his torso extremely tightly. Yuhao continued to say reassuring words and patted her back comfortingly as she bawled in his arms. This continued on for nearly five minutes before the girl's mental state caught up to her and she fell into a deep sleep.
