Chapter 2

Kayla was really shocked at first when she heard it but soon her shock turned into worry. She was worried that she might have to meet them everyday not that it was the first time cause they must've always walked near her but the problem was that before she never knew about it but now things were different and she was freaking out just from the mere thought of it. Her peaceful morning walk to her school would be disrupted by these chatterbox whom she had no intention of getting close with.

"Well thank you so much for your help." And with that Kayla quickly took her things from them and ran inside her home. She was just entering the living room when her sister went directly outside and called out to the two boys. "Hey! Guys! Please come inside." The two guys complied immediately and entered the house and sat on the couch in the living room. "Why did you call them inside?" Kayla hissed at her elder sister. "Be nice. Those guys helped you and why did you suddenly run away from them? You should have seen their expression, it was really awkward to watch, even for a third party with no knowledge of the situation." "Well I can't talk with them." "Perks of being an introvert." Kayla just hummed an answer. "What do you have in your hands?" "Happy one more year closer to death." Kayla passed the gift to her sister while she carried the cake to the kitchen. "Gee. You could've just said happy 19th birthday." "But that wouldn't be dramatic enough for my dramatic ass." Kayla said in a bitter tone.

Later they cut the cake and Cosmo and Parker introduced themselves to Kayla's sister and those guys really grew onto Cassie(Kayla's elder sister). Kayla let Cassie do all the talking while she left for her room and quietly went to bed. The next morning was a lovely sunny day which Kayla really despised because she didn't like sunshine as it usually left her with sunburns so she planned to stay in her dark room for the whole day but the people in the house didn't let her stay that way for long. They yelled at the top of her lungs that Kayla should start cleaning the house, to which Kayla just huffed a bunch of curses to herself before starting to clean the damned house that she was supposed to call her home.

After she was finally done with cleaning Kayla went back to her room while her uncle and and wife and their annoying kid (whom Kayla adored but sometimes... maximum times wanted to throw out of the window as she was very spoiled) went out like usual during their weekends. Kayla's sister would be out with her friends and her younger brother would be out playing with his little friends so it was always just her which she didn't mind because even if they were here she would still feel the same distant feeling. Kayla didn't like anyone living under the same roof as her and sure she should be grateful that her paternal uncle had taken her and her siblings under his shelter and fed and clothed them but he would always make sure to draw the line whenever Kayla tried to think of it as her home. Her uncle's wife was just straight out mean. She would always say mean things that stung Kayla alot and she was also the president of the gossip related to Kayla's mother. Kayla used to be close to her sister at some point but everything changed after that one fight, Kayla stopped chatting with her sister and always kept her response to either a yes or no or a hum but sometimes she had to talk in sentences which Kayla did do but she always kept her expression blank. Kayla didn't like being alone with her thoughts but she had no other option than doing it.

Kayla was almost at the brink of tears when someone rang the doorbell. She lazily got up to receive it and when she opened the door, it showed two faces that she had wished never to see anywhere. "Hi babes!" Cosmos began in a really happy tone. Kayla just stared at the both of them deciding whether she should close the door right now or not. "What's wrong babes? Still haven't woken up from your sleep or something?" Parker asked her while pulling down her hood. Kayla was about to close the door on their faces when suddenly Parker pulled her outside and dragged her to Cosmos house. "What are you doing?" Kayla asked furiously while clinging on to the post right outside her house. "Hanging out. Duh." Cosmos said in a smart tone while trying to pull Kayla's hands from the post which was of no use so Parker had no option but to carry her in bridal style. Due to this sudden action Kayla lost her grip on the post and ended up squirming like a little bug trying to break free from their claws. "Let me go!" "Stop squirming like that. It will be hard for me to carry you babe. If you fall down then it's not my fault." Parker said while he tightened his grip on Kayla. The three of them reached Cosmos house and Parker finally let go of Kayla. "Why did you guys bring me here? What are you planning to do?" Kayla asked while keeping a safe distance from them. Cosmos locked the door and Parker had this very evil look on his face. He neared her with slow and steady steps and just when Kayla was thinking of running Parker caught her by her wrist and pulled her really close and whispered in her ears.

"We're kidnapping you babes."
