Chapter 29

"And that is why I told you not to talk about it Chase." Philip said while wrapping his arms around Kelly. "No. Chase did the right thing. If he hadn't said this to me today, then I would've continued to blame you guys. I just want to say that I am really sorry for not being able to understand you guys. After all you guys were the only person who was there for me when I was crying alone. I am really really really really really really really really really really really sorry." Kelly broke into sobs again after that. "K. Stop that before I kiss you until you calm down." Philip said in a really serious tone.

Both Kelly and Chase were too shocked to say anything. Kelly even stopped crying and when she realized what was happening, she laughed. "Thanks Philip. That really did help me stop crying." "Thank God it worked but I was serious about wanting to kiss you." Chase kept on munching on his snacks and then after sometime stood up to leave. "And where do you think you're going?" Philip questioned him. "Where do you think? Tinder. I can't be a third wheel forever and to be really honest here, I want to do same cringey shits like you guys too." "Shut up and sit down." Kelly said still in a daze. "Okay." Chase obediently sat down and kept on looking at Philip and then Kelly. After a long pause, Chase finally began, "I know that I never imagined Kelly opening the door let alone letting us inside the house but really? Are we going to waste our reunion with constant long pauses? Like I don't know about you guys but it feels way too suffocating for me." Kelly and Philip just smiled at him. "Well then you guys want to drink?" Kelly suggested. "Heck yeah! Now that's what I am talking about." Chase yelled happily.

"What have you got?" Philip asked her. "Bruichladdich X4 Quadrupled Whiskey" Kelly replied with all smiles while she took out the bottle from one of her closet. "But isn't that way too strong?" Philip sighed. "So what? We're meeting after so many time. Who knows maybe this is the last time we will ever meet." Chase shouted from the other room. "Chase is right. We only live once, right?" "Okay but who's going to drive if both of us get drunk?" "Well then you can stay over for the night." Kelly casually replied. "Are you sure about that? After all we're two guys, we're capable of anything." Philip replied. "Really? Don't talk as if I never stayed all alone for the whole night with the two of you." "Yeah! Don't be a party pooper Phil! If you don't want to drink then don't, but me and K are going to get wasted tonight. Right K?" "True." The two of them high fived each other and then stared at Philip with puppy dog eyes. "Fine. But I will be drinking slowly so don't you two dare." "We promise." Chase and Kelly said at the same time.

Kelly got out the glasses and then started pouring drinks for the three of them. Chase quickly took a sip and then did a 'bleh' from the strong taste of the drink. "Yo K! This is some strong stuff you got here. I can't even go further from a sip. Where-" Chase was cut short by the sight of Kelly drowning the whole glass in one big gulp. "What the? Are you okay? Do you want something sweet?" Chase said while searching for a candy. "I don't need it. I already have a habit to drink it this way." "Damn girl! Who hurt you so much that you don't even have a reaction to such a bitter drink?" Kelly just laughed while refilling her glass. "Anyways remember the time when K suddenly started drinking out of nowhere?" Chase said while chuckling. " How could I forget? I almost died from a hangover the next day. And I still remember the way you guys would never say anything about that night." Kelly replied. "Well how could we say that to you? You would've melted from embarrassment had we told you about it." " But what really did happen that night?" "Phil care to do the honor or should I do it?" Chase asked with a mischievous smirk. "You do it man." Phil said while taking his first sip and making the exact same disgusted face.

"Well that night after you emptied the whole bottle both of us were so scared that we almost shit our pants." "But why?" "Firstly, because you have a strict family and secondly, you sneaked out from your home that time. We couldn't just drop you home in that state. At least that's what I thought where else Mister Phil here, wanted to do the exact opposite thing. I literally had to beg him to stop thinking about that kind of stuffs. And you, you were too busy dancing and being happy. But we couldn't even stop you since that was the only time we ever saw you being carefree and smiling so much. After two whole hours, you still wouldn't stop and I was way too tired to handle you so, Phil suggested that I take rest while he would put you to sleep. I was reluctant at first because it seemed like you would never stop but when you finally did, you directly fell into Phil's arms. I was thankful and went to sleep; and the rest of the story is something that only Phil knows."

Phil smiled and began, " I will be honest. When I was putting you to bed, you started crying all of a sudden. I was so worried and I kept on asking you what happened? Is everything okay? Did you get hurt? And did you know what she said?" "No. What did she say?" Chase asked curiously. "She kept on crying and saying that she felt so alone. That it hurts to be so alone with no one being able to understand you. I felt so bad for her and then she suddenly dropped a big bomb. She said that she felt so alone that she literally felt like killing herself until," "Until what?" Chase interrupted. "Until she met two cute guys who befriended her out of nowhere. She said that at first she did feel weird and thought that the two guys had bad intentions but later on, did she realize that she was so wrong about them and that the two guys made life a little bit more liveable. She had never once felt the need to find friends but after she found the two of them, she never wanted to let go of them. She even added a cute I literally love them at the end."
