"Excuse me." When this was heard by the two white haired people, they turned their heads around with smiles.

"Yes?" The one to speak first was surprisingly the white haired woman. Of the two she looked the most shy, yet she took the initiative to speak.

"Umm, are you two nobles by chance?" In front of the two was a young woman, similar in age to Mu Xue. Atleast, by her looks.

Mu Xue answered without much thought. "Yes we are. Was there something you needed?" Unlike Chen Yun, although Mu Xue was a shy girl, she was still from a prestigious family, so she knew how to present herself to others very well. Plus, she was a real noble, the Mu kingdom's princess.

"Actually, I was also wondering if you two wish to join the alchemy tower?" She asked another question.

The young woman had short brown hair, light in colour. Her eyes were a deep black, and freckles covered her cute face.

"Well, that was what we were here for." Mu Xue answered with a confident smile. "Is there a reason you have come to us specifically?"

"Yes, actually." She took a deep breath and began to speak. "I'm one of the few alchemists that the tower has. Not only that, but I'm also the most talented alchemist in the tower from my generation." She didn't show much pride when saying this, which caused Mu Xue to raise an eyebrow. It was a weird reaction. "Well, although I'm the most talented alchemist in this tower, compared to the other ones, my talent is worse then even their lowest member." A deep sigh escaped her mouth when she said this. "The thing is, our tower lacks alchemists of high talent, mostly because there are no noble alchemists in our tower. Other Alchemy towers have nobles as their backbone, all except ours…."

"And you want us to be the backbone of this tpower just because we are nobles?" Mu Xue interrupted and asked. Chen Yun looked at his cousin with a bit of curiosity and interest. He was lost and was just watching her handle the situation so perfectly. Her attitude was completely different from the one she had with him and with aunty Shuiri. "Why do you think that we even have skills in alchemy? What if we are the worst of the nobles, which is why we have come this far? Plus, why must we become the backbone of a place we have yet to join?" She wasn't cold in her tone, but there was a deep sense of intimidation which caused the young woman to falter. Even Chen Yun felt his back become a little cold.

'She's crazy!' He didn't think she would become so strict out of nowhere. He could completely feel her authority.

"Umm, I didn't mean to... " The young woman was tongue tied. She didn't even get to completely speak out before the other party understood their intentions. Plus, they were nobles, so she couldn't even get angry at Mu Xue for interrupting her.

"I know what you meant." Mu Xue didn't bother looking at the young woman and instead looked at the alchemy tower. "We have come to this alchemy tower not to help with your struggles against the other towers that are beneath us. Rather, I have come here only to pass time with alchemy."

"T-then will you be joining the tower?" The young woman asked with a bit of excitement.

"I planned that, but I will not partake in any of the problems you and the other towers have. That is not my concern." Mu Xue made her stance clear from the get go.

"No issue at all. You don't have to do anything. Joining us is enough." She then looked at Chen Yun with her bright eyes.

"I'm the same as her." He pointed at Mu Xue with a smile. He didn't know what to say to these things, so might as well copy the confident woman.

"No problem. If you wish, we can complete the paperwork right now. It will take at most ten minutes." She said excitedly. The presence of a noble in the tower was better than no noble present. Even if they didn't help with the internal competition, the alchemy standard in the tower would rise, making all the other towers look at them a little more.

"What do you think?" Mu Xue turned her head and looked up at Chen Yun. Her words were filled with less confidence now, and more embarrassment.

"Oh, ah." He scratched the back of his head and nodded his head. "It's just a few minutes, we can just sign up." Mu Xue nodded her head and followed the young woman who began to lead the two white haired nobles.

As they walked into the bustling alchemy tower, people gave the two many looks. Guys were extremely attracted to Mu Xue, who was like a goddess. Even girls were attracted to her beauty. Chen Yun did attract a bit of attention from a few girls, but most people were staring at Mu Xue.

"Sir, ma'am, if you don't mind me asking, are you two family by chance?" The one leading them asked with a bit of curiosity.

"She is my cousin." Chen Yun spoke without thinking, which made Mu Xue look at him with puzzlement.

"Oh, then are you two engaged by chance?" Marriage between cousins and alike were very common in the cultivation world, especially in royalty. It was so common in royalty that cousins of opposite genders would rarely interact unless they were married or engaged.

"No." Mu Xue spoke in a calm manner, but her face was a little flushed. Chen Yun was tongue tied, he didn't know how to react to such a question, let alone answer it. If it was his aunty saying something like this, he could react easily, but not a stranger.

"Alright, apologies for asking too much." She acted mostly professional, but she was a disciple of the tower, not a worker, so not much could be expected from her.

Both of them reached a large table which was right in the middle of the tower. The woman walked behind the table and reached under, pulling two sheets of paper.

"Here you go, just fill in the information and we will be done in an instant." The paper was black, similar to the one that Chen Yun signed before. He also noticed that the form was laid out exactly the same.

Slowly, he and Mu Xue began to fill in the papers. When it came to the address, Chen Yun filled that part out for both of them, since he knew the address. "Is that all?" Mu Xue asked with a smile.

"Almost." The girl picked up two clear stones, handing it to both of them. "This will be your identity stone, which has all your information. I just have to add one last thing. What rank alchemists are you two? Or are you two unranked?"

"How do you guys rank people here? Our method might differ from yours." Mu Xue lied more easily then Chen Yun.

"Well, we just go with rank one, rank two, and so on." The woman showed them her own stone, which had a blue color inside. "I'm only a rank two, which is considered to be low. On average, people of the other towers are ranked three and above."

Mu Xue thought for a moment before speaking. She knew that Chen Yun also knew alchemy, after all she heard the conversation between him and her mom. "I think we would fall under rank three for alchemy." Mu Xue didn't know how hard it was for others to go from rank two to three, then three to four, so she kept her and Chen Yun's rank in the average range.

"Great!" The woman smiled brightly and flicked her finger, sending a small green light into the two stones. "Alright, you two are now a part of this town's alchemy tower. That stone can give you access to herbs and alike for a cheaper price, plus it will let you browse the upper floors of the tower. Those floors have alchemy rooms and books."

"Alright, and do we have any specific jobs to do?" Benefits without work was almost a non-existent concept. If they joined the tower and wanted to access everything they provided, they had to do their part as well.

"You just have a quota to meet every week. You must also have a herb garden that will grow certain herbs for us, of course, the alchemy tower will only take thirty percent of the herbs, and the rest will be yours." She spoke with a smile before handing both of them two sheets each. "Since you both are rank three, the pills you will make are rank three pills. The description is here. The herbs you will grow are also here. We've provided the methods of production and planting, and you can get the ingredients for free, but you must create the minimum amount of pills every week, if you fail, we will be forced to fine you." She spoke with a bit of hesitation, but she still said everything she was taught. Sure, nobles were more important than commoners, but the alchemy tower was no less than nobles, so they had the right to fine them for mistakes.

"No problem." Mu Xue didn't bother asking anything more. The extra pills she didn't care for, so she didn't ask about them either. Even the herbs they would grow, she didn't need the leftovers, since she could access much better ones.

"Alright, you guys are free to do what you need." She smiled at the two.

"Chen Yun, we can go home now, I think we got everything we needed done." She looked at Chen Yun and smiled confidently, while the latter was looking at her with a bit of curiosity. "What is it?" She asked with an embarrassed smile.

"Nothing." He walked out of the tower with her while glancing at her at times. She noticed this and felt a little flustered. "Mu Xue."

"Yes?" She looked at him with her expression still shy.

"Umm, I thought you were a shy person, but you're actually very confident, huh?" He found this very surprising. Around him and even back at home, she was so shy, yet the confidence she displayed made him look at her twice.

"Well, I don't know…" She didn't know how to reply to that.

"Forget it." He smiled and continued to walk back with her.

Soon, they reached the house. "Mom, we're back."

"That was quick?" Aunty Shuiri walked out of the kitchen with raised eyebrows. She looked at her daughter and then at Chen Yun, yet both of them had the same expressions as before, which made her sigh a little. "Anyways, just go get ready, Ill bring the food out." She wasn't in the mood to teach anymore. So she picked up the ingredients and just began to dice them in an instant.

Chen Yun noticed this and didn't say anything. He walked back into his room and began to relax, leaving Mu Xue alone with her mom.

"Did nothing happen Xue?" Bai Shuiri asked with a bit of suspicion.

"No mom, nothing happened." Mu Xue flushed, but she also felt a little annoyed by her mom's constant questions about the same thing.

"C'mon, not even something small? You don't have to like him right away, but did you two not talk at all?" She found it hard to believe that they didn't converse much.

"Well, we did talk and stuff." Mu Xue said while smiling bitterly. "But it was a normal conversation, nothing that you would be thinking about."

"Really? You guys spoke?" Bai Shuiti looked at her daughter in expectation. "Tell me about it. Don't hide anything."

Sighing a little, Mu Xue began to recount everything that happened. "Did you know he is atleast at Void Breaking realm? His talent might be worse than his dad's, but it's better than everyone else…"

"Do you really think his dad is that great?" Bai Shuiri asked a question which gave Mu Xue a start.

"Chen Yun said the same thing to me. Why?" She looked at her mom in curiosity.

"Oh, really?" Bai Shuiri smiled playfully. "If you wanna know, then ask him. His realm may not be as simple as Void Breaking. Even I don't know how strong he is, still I can guarantee he is stronger than me."

"What?" She looked at her mom in shock. Her mom was in the late stages of Void Breaking, which was considered very good in their clan. She didn't think that Chen Yun was that powerful. "Do you know what realm he is in?"

"I don't know, but I do know some stuff." She giggled before walking towards the kitchen. "If you wanna know though, you're going to have to ask him yourself."

Seeing her mom act like this, Mu Xue couldn't help but frown, yet she felt even more curious towards Chen Yun. 'This cousin of mine, the most mysterious cousin, what kinds of things is he hiding?'

-----

A few days passed quickly. Chen Yun and Mu Xue maintained their awkward conversations, while Hou Qing would visit frequently. He kept asking about the pill he took since he felt different after it, good different, yet Chen Yun would always brush it off.

That same day, Chen Yun received mail from the cultivation academy. "Alright, let's see if you and me have the same classes or not." Chen Yun sat beside Hou Qing, who also held a folded letter. Both of them looked at each other and smiled before opening up their letters.

It was a timetable, showing what classes they would have at what time. "Alright, so we have the same general cultivation class. I do alchemy before blacksmithing, while you do blacksmithing when I do beast taming." There were many classes they had to take, which Chen Yun actually was happy about. Sure, he didn't need any of it, but it would still be interesting to see what a beginner class would be like.

"Well, atleast we have one class together." Hou Qing said with a small smile. He wanted more classes with his new friend, yet there wasn't anything he could do about it. "Well, we start tomorrow, so I'm going to go back and do a bit of cultivating, then maybe study the information for alchemy, since that is the most memory based class." He got up from the ground and patted his bottom, dusting it off. "What about you? I'm assuming you have some previous knowledge on a bunch of these classes, right?"

"You could say that." Chen Yun smiled. "I'm probably going to study a bit of alchemy as well." With that, Hou Qing left and Chen Yun entered his house. "Mu Xue." He called out with a small smile. Although the two were still awkward when talking to one another, they had been making pills together for the alchemy tower. Which wasn't awkward at all.

"Yeah?" From the hot springs entrance, Mu Xue walked out with damp hair. She was wearing her blue robe which covered her body, yet Chen Yun couldn't help but suck in a deep breath.

"Damn…" He couldn't help but say this silently, but Mu Xue heard his words.

Her face blushed as she looked at herself and felt a little weird. 'I'm wearing my clothes and not even showing anything, why is he acting like that?' She could tell that he was looking at her, not with a perverted gaze, nor one filled with any sort of lust, but there was some surprise in his eyes. Plus, his words were also a little… peculiar. "C-Chen Yun?" She couldn't help but call out seeing as he was still in a daze. It was making her feel a little weird.

Her words worked and helped him step out of his daze. 'What the heck, how could I act like that?' He felt a little shocked that he did what he did. He wasn't like that. "Sorry." He coughed a little before looking at the basement, trying to avoid eye contact. "Should we go and begin pill making or…"

"Sure." Mu Xue said with a small smile, her face still a little flushed.

Nodding his head, he led her down the stairs and into a large alchemy room. Unlike the upstairs, the basement was not that small. It had many rooms, both large and small.

The alchemy room was filled with a few cauldrons and many ingredients placed into small cupboards. There were glass vials around the room, some empty, some filled.

Both of them sat down in front of two cauldrons, which were situated in the middle. They had been doing this for days, so it wasn't a big deal. They already completed the weekly quota, and even made a bunch more, for the other weeks. What they did was make higher leveled pills, and even worked with the lower rank pills. It was a fun experience since they didn't really stumble into any problems. After all, they were both highly skilled in alchemy.

"This time, it's your turn to pick the pill Mu Xue." Chen Yun only glanced at Mu Xue as he said this. Everyday, one person would choose the high leveled pill, while the other would pick the low leveled one that the two would make. It was Mu Xue's turn to pick the high ranked one, while it was Chen Yun's turn to pick the low leveled one.

She noticed him trying to avoid looking at her, which made her feel even more weird. "Let's make the Evergreen Pill." She said while pulling out a green pill. "I don't know if you know it, but it was a pill that I found in the Mu kingdoms vault. It's an old pill formula, from before my kingdom was even formed." She spoke seriously while placing the formula between the two cauldrons.

"Hmm, a pill which is meant for plants?" Chen Yun read the description and smiled. "Interesting. So it basically gives any plant eternal life, infinitely increasing it's seed spreading rate, yet it also prevents any sort of variation." He read it and felt it was a cool pill. "Maybe I can use it in my garden." He spoke silently.

"Do we have the ingredients for this?" She asked with a bit of worry. "I've tried to make this before, but my family only had one set for the ingredients, nothing more." A sigh escaped her mouth. The pill was very high ranked, beyond her level, but she was fascinated by it. Giving anything eternal life was difficult, the only way to gain eternal life was through cultivation, this included plants needing to do the same thing. This pill however could break the system. It could give a plant eternal life and even increase it's seeding, which was extremely useful. Although variations would not happen. That was only a slight loss.

"I might have the ingredients." Chen Yun looked through the list once again before putting his hand into the air. Mu Xue watched this calmly. A couple days before, Chen Yun showed her his herb garden, his private one atleast. She was shocked to say the least. There were millions upon millions of various plants, plus they were being maintained by specific beasts. More than half the herbs were hard to come by, yet he had them all. "Nice." As she watched him calmly, Chen Yun pulled out a basket. "I have them luckily, sadly I have enough for only three attempts. Maybe I should grow more?" He had a plan in mind. If the ingredients were used correctly, he could concoct over twenty pills, which meant that twenty plants could be boosted to the extreme. Of the twenty, he could first make the ingredient plants take the pill, so that he could have more ingredients to use. This would allow him to continuously make eternal herb gardens.

"You have that many?" She was shocked. Sure, his stash was rare, but how could she expect that he had more sets of ingredients then her whole family? That was an ancient family, older than even the Chen clan.

"Well yeah, I like gardening and collecting herbs." He smiled and said. That was true for the most part. The truth in the matter was, Chen Yun had reached a realm where he was able to create anything he wanted. He was also unkillable by anything and anyone. So, he had created various seeds and slowly grew the herbs out of boredom. Sure, he could create the herbs themselves, but that would ruin the fun for him. "Anyways, you can take two sets, and I'll use one." He was confident in making the pill without any mistakes. To Mu Xue, the pill was high ranked, but Chen Yun did not think the same way. The pill did have effects that he wanted, but that didn't mean it was hard to create.

"No no, you can have the sets, I'll watch." Although she had used his stashes before, but that was for low leveled pills, as for the high leveled pills, she had the ingredients herself. Taking such rare herbs from Chen Yun would make her feel a little uncomfortable.

"What do you mean? Just take them, it's not a big deal. I still have the base herb seeds, so I will just feed it the pill and have an infinite supply later." He passed her a few ingredients forcefully, not taking no for an answer. To him, the ingredients weren't an issue, after all, he did alchemy for fun.

Since he was forcing it on her, she eventually nodded her head and took the herbs. She looked at the basket of rare herbs in her hand and took a deep breath, not knowing whether she should risk it in the pill making or not.

"Ready?" As she was debating, Chen Yun suddenly looked at her with a smile. On top of their heads was a hole leading to a different sky, different from the world's sky. It was darker with only a few balls of yellow and red in the distance.

Taking a bit of time to convince herself, she nodded her head. "I'm ready."

Unlike low leveled pills, high ranked ones would bring in tribulation of kinds, which was why Chen Ping had set up the two holes leading to a new space above the heads. Lighting would fall from the holes, not from outside of the house. This way, less people would know about the pill making session.

Chen Yun began to toss in the ingredients one by one, Mu Xue did the same, yet her method was slightly different from Chen Yuns. She took it more slowly, and used her cultivation to break them into smaller pieces rather than throwing it all in at once.

Both of them kept referring back to the instructions, but at one point, Chen Yun and Mu Xue couldn't help but lift up their eyebrows. "This part isn't right. Mixing it like this would just destroy the ingredients…" Mu Xue comments with a frown.

"Agreed. Are you sure this is the proper method?" He asked. This was the instructions that Mu Xue brought.

"It was the only available one in my kingdom." She said with a sigh. "I don't think this is the right method, maybe someone else tried to infer it." Shaking her head, she tried to stop the process in order to save the ingredients, but Chen Yun stopped her.

"Don't stop yet. Why don't we try and figure it out?" He asked with a smile.

She saw his excitement but shook her head. "This pill is too high leveled for us. How will we figure it out? If grandma tried then she could do it, but you and me aren't at that level. I don;t even know if mom can figure it out."

"So? What's the harm in trying? Although the steps are wrong, atleast we have the details about what this pill does and how it does it. With this information, we can atleast try and figure it out." He wanted to try, he had always done this in the past. Sometimes it would fail, sometimes he would succeed, but each time he did it, he would learn a lot more. After all, he was at his current point not from just talent, but it was an amazing amount of trial and error. If his dad wasn't there to help him avoid a lot of his mistakes, he could have been very well dead by now.

She thought about it but still felt it was impossible. "Even if we could try and think of a new method, we need time. This process has already started and we can't stop it nor pause it. I could save a few ingredients, but not all." She sighed.

"If time is an issue, then I can solve that." With a wave of his hand, the ingredients in the cauldrons suddenly began to stop moving. The water inside stopped churning. Everything paused, like a video game.

"What did you do?" She asked with shock.

"I just stopped the time around the cauldron. Now, we can take as long as we want and nothing will happen to the ingredients." He smiled and said.

"S-stopped the time?!" She suddenly stood up and looked at Chen Yun in extreme shock. "You can stop time?! You're in the Timeless World realm?! You're in the Territory Lord Realms?!" There was a big reason the territory lords were undefeated by anyone lower than them, it was because they could control time. Other than a few exceptions, almost everyone below the Territory Lord Realms had no control over time. With control over time, the territory lords could stop time around anyone, which was why even the weakest territory lords were untouched by almost everyone below them,

Chen Yun looked at her and smiled while scratching his head. "You can say that." The world was split into five cultivation categories. These included the Mortal Realms, Immortal Realms, Origin Realms, Territory Lord Realms, and finally the Unknown Realms. Each of these categories had a number of smaller realms which were split into nine stages. Currently, the only known person in the Unknown Realms was Chen Yun. There wasn't anyone that Chen Yun knew that was in this category. Not only that, but based on Chen Ping's guess, Chen Yun was not in the beginning realms of the Unknown Realms category, rather he was likely deep into it. After all, his power was much too great.

Most people in Chen Yun's generation, who were from the major families, would be in the Immortal Realm category, usually in the initial realms. Rare geniuses might be higher, but the only genius that was in the Origin Realm category was Chen Ping, plus there was rumor he was only a bit away from the Territory Lord Realm category when he was Chen Yun's age.

Although Mu Xue could be considered a talent in the Mu clan and kingdom, even she was only in the Immortal Realm category.

"Chen Yun, do you even understand what this means?" She looked at his nonchalance and felt a little frustrated.

"What?" He looked at her with a small smile.

"Your talent is greater than your dads. You're literally unmatched in our recorded history." She rubbed her head, trying to calm herself down. This was not some laughing matter. There was so much internal competition between people of their generation and older, trying to see who was the strongest and who was the weakest. There were tournaments, fights, wars, and so much more, yet the most talented individual was sitting in front of her, causally smiling. His talent could shock anyone, especially his strenght.

"I don't think I'm that much better than my dad." He said with a serious face. "Sure, I'm faster then he was when he was my age, but there was also a difference in what was happening. He didn't have support like I do, he didn't get to calmly cultivate like me. Chen Yun spoke his thoughts, the ones he believed to be true. He respected his dad the most. He would never disrespect him, to him Chen Ping was the true talent, the star of multiple universes. His dad had to fight a very steep uphill battle, while Chen Yun had a casual life. Even now, his dad surpassed him in knowledge and so much more.

"I don't agree with that." Mu Xue sat down and looked at him seriously as well. "Keep in mind, your dad went through so much yet, what if he didn't? Would he have attained his current realm? Everything in life is predetermined by fate. It was fate you would be more talented than your dad. Plus, there are no such things as 'ifs'. The facts are looked at, not things that might have happened instead."

Chen Yun understood her words, but he didn't completely agree with them. "Anyways, now that we have time, let's try and figure things out."

"Yeah let's do that…" She suddenly stopped and looked at him carefully. "Wait, if you're in the Territory Lord realms, then are you planning on becoming a territory lord?"

"Yeah." He said with a sigh. "I technically have a territory, but my dad wants me to mature up a little first, haha." He laughed bitterly. Having to constantly say the same thing made him ashamed.

"I can kind of see his reasoning." She suddenly laughed.

"What do you mean?" He looked at her in confusion.

"Well, you just told me such a big secret. I don't think one should go off and start exposing their secrets…" She couldn't help but look at him with a weird smile. Even though he was so strong, she felt it weird that he still acted like someone his age, maybe even a little younger than his age.

"Umm." He suddenly flushed in embarrassment. 'She's right, not only her, but aunty Shuiri knows too. If I don't control myself, I'll expose my powers to everyone one day.' He scratched the back of his head and sighed. "Yeah, maybe I'm too much of a big mouth, but what's done is done." Getting up, he tapped the air and suddenly a large hole appeared. It wasn't dark inside, rather, you could see everything. "Let's go and figure it out then."

She looked at the hole and took in a deep breath. The ability to create one's own dimension was something someone in the late realms of the Origin Realm category could do only. Even her mom and grandma couldn't do it yet. "Sure."

Smiling, she followed him into the huge world behind the hole.

This chapter gives a little more insight into how realms are categorized. I will just give a summary here.
