Aeries and the others met Squad 14 upon their arrival.

"Why is the sky red?" Idris asked, looking at the sky.

"It's been like that ever since the war started, even the birds form into spirals," Marais said, staring at the bloody sky.

"The town is gone..." Aidan whispered as he looked around.

"You should go to Capital City," Brig said, "Just a few minutes ago, a wyvern breathed fire causing the capital to be almost burned, fortunately, the Imperial Magic Knights had already prepared before the wyvern breathed fire."

"I heard the sorcerers have formed barriers to protect the establishments," Brix added.

"Grin! The next wave of creatures has arrived!" one of squad 14 members said.

"Alright, ready your swords."

Aeries looked at his squad mates and nodded, "Stay Alive."

Snarls, growls and screeches have yet again surrounded the town.

They had all taken their positions and were ready to attack.

"They're behind!" Idris shouted.

"Assist them!" Aeries shouted, they turned around and focused on the creatures that were running towards them from behind.

The imperial knights as well as the magic knights have come to battle the creatures in Greytown, backing up each other.

"There's a big one!" exclaimed one knight, pointing to the king ogre a little distance away.

"Shit! These little ones are attacking continuously!" Grin cursed.

"It's getting close!"

The knights present are unable to move as the animals surround them all, as though waiting for the king ogre to come close.

All of a sudden, Jaxael released a big shadow that looks like a net and landed it on where the creatures are mostly standing, after the creatures were trapped, one of the magic knights used their lightning ability to kill the creatures.

They continued on doing that until Jaxael grew weak. Aidan immediately backed him up.

"It's here!"

The ogre was already in front of them, preparing to swing it's club, when suddenly it stopped on its track and can't move it's body, "Grrrrar!"

Behind the big ogre was Nash increasing the ogre's gravity causing it to be unable to move, "Go!"

Yjhan and Kane attacked the ogre and beheaded it. Nash released her power and helped the knights attack the little ones.

"Argh... I thought I would be able to wear the armor!" Nash releases her anger to the creatures.

When they teleported to Greytown, she saw one knight donning war armor, which made her envious.

"That's why you have to be careful!" Marais shouted.

"Oh! Marais! Hii!!" Nash waved and was about to get hit by the wendigo when Yjhan saved her.

"We're in the middle of the war, is it the time to say hello to your friend?" Yjhan said.

"Sorry!"

Nash focused on fighting, "By the way, how come this war lasted for weeks already?"

"The first wave of creatures was just a bunch of devil minions. We thought it was the start of war already, but it was just a greeting. These big creatures started earlier at midnight." Brig responded since he was the closest to Nash.

'Ah... I thought they were battling for 3 weeks straight.'

"How about the people? Are they all safe?"

"Yes, they successfully entered the bunker."

"Leader, may I check the bunkers?"

"Be safe!"

"Yes, I will!" Nash used her magic ability to crush the creatures, making their blood scattered, "Sorry!"

Nash ran towards the first bunker near her and opened it, "Are Bret and his friends here?"

"They're not here," the old lady answered,

"I see, then."

"Wait! How's the outside?"

"Ah... I don't want to scare you, but it's pretty bloody." The townsfolks grew shocked and some nearly collapsed, "But they're not mostly from our people, they're the blood of those hideous creatures, please don't worry and trust us."

"Please be safe, young lady."

"Yes, I will. Stay here for a few hours and I promise you it will be over this day."

They all nodded and gave their thanks before Nash closed the door. She went to the next bunker and before she even greeted them, she already heard the voices of the kids, "Sister!"

The kids were peering from the bunker's door.

"Are you all alright?" Nash asked as soon as she got close.

"Yes! Bret has awaken his magic!" Shiela boasted.

"Really?! Can I see it after these happenings?"

"Yes sister! I will impress you!" Bret said, grinning.

"Happy Birthday. I'm sorry I failed to get you a gift. I promise I'll make up to it."

"It's fine sister! I'm happy enough to have my magic."

Nash smiled, "I have to go, I'll see you later, okay?"

"Be safe, sister!"

"You too."

Nash hurriedly headed back to her squad mates. As soon as she gets near them, the cries of the creatures surround the area, the smell of their putrid blood has come in contact with the knight's armor. The knights are panting heavily but keep on battling.

"Roooaar!" It was a thundering roar that could have been heard all the way to the empire's outskirts.

"What was that?" Nash asked, shocked.

Her heart beats fast as soon as the roar ends.

"A wyvern, two wyverns have come to the capital," Aeries explained, "It breathed fire earlier, I think it'll breathe fire again soon."

"The capital will be totally wiped out!" Nash exclaimed.

'That can't happen.'

Nash began to feel uneasy as she realized that things were not as she had planned.

'The capital being wiped out means the whole empire will be wiped out as well...'

"This can't be..." Nash was unable to focus after negative thoughts infiltrated her mind.

"Nash."

'They will hate me... They will hate me... They will...'

"Nash!" Nash was shocked after getting slapped, when she looked who did it, it was Katherine, fumingly mad, "What is wrong with you?!"

They teleported to an alley, "They said wyverns are already destroying the capital... if the capital is wiped out, then... the empire might be as well..."

Katherine slapped her once again, "You idiotic bitch! The emperor, your father, is currently protecting the capital, do you think the emperor would let the capital be destroyed?!"

Nash clutches both of her swollen cheeks as a result of Katherine's slap.

"Stop overthinking things, I hate you," They teleported back, "Let's put an end to this, I'll be always at your side, understand?"

Nash nodded and rubbed her cheeks, "Everyone! I'll pin them all down, and you kill them!"

Nash focused her magic solely on the creatures present and increased their gravity, "GO!"

The cries of the creatures grow louder as the knights beheaded them.

The knights fell down after defeating it all, but there really is no end to them, they were about to attack the knights again, but a loud explosion was heard coming from the capital.

After the explosion, the creatures avoided the knights and proceeded to the capital.

"What..." Marais whispered,

A knight arrived, "The capital needs assistance!"

They all grew anxious as they started to run towards the capital and saw a sight they never expected to see.

The capital was burning.
