Chapter 39

As soon as Aidan left. One of Mhurts' friends uses his magic ability on Nash. A vine suddenly appeared and held Nash's limbs. Nash tears continued to fall as she looked at how Mhurt and his friend looked at her with lust.

'How could they do this to me?! How could he?!'

Mhurt approaches her, brandishing a dagger. "Stay put, this will be over soon."

Mhurt started to cut Nash's clothes, little by little.

"Nooo! Stop! Please!" Nash struggled on, but the vines were too strong for her to move.

Nash can't take it any longer, and her seal has become unlocked as a result of her emotions.

"Wait... look! Her hair is changing." One of Mhurt's friends exclaimed, shocked.

Nash kept looking down, her hair concealing her face.

"You shouldn't hide such a lovely face..." Mhurt moved the hair that was concealing her face slowly.

As soon as Mhurt moved it, he saw Nash's demonic eyes.

"Ahh!" Mhurt step back.

"Why?" one asked.

Mhurt shivered as he remembered someone who had such same eyes.

'The emperor...'

Nash utilized her strength to cut through the vines and walk directly to Mhurt, where she kicked him. His back hits the wooden wall creating a loud thud.

The loud thud was heard by Aidan that caused him to dash towards the house.

While Aidan rushed towards the house, Nash continued punching and kicking Mhurt and his companions until they passed out.

She slammed their heads on the wall one by one, assuring them that they would forget what had happened.

"Stop!" Aidan said as soon as opened the door.

Nash looked at the door and glared at Aidan, 'You're here...'

Aidan was taken aback when he noticed Nash had changed appearance.

"Who are you?" Aidan looked at the surroundings and saw some blood around.

Nash slowly walks towards him. "It's me... Nash. The one whom you sell."

Aidan's strength dwindled and he sat down, sweating.

"You... What are you? Those eyes... like the demon,"

Nash smirked as tears streamed down her cheeks. "It's because I am one."

Nash brought Aidan outside because she was nauseated by her surroundings.

"How could you do such a thing to me?" She stated it nearly in hushed tones.

"I... I'm so sorry! It's because my mother and grandmother are both sick! We don't have enough money to pay the healers, therefore I need to find another means to make money..."

"Was that to sell me? Your friend who treated you so well that I treated you like a sibling!? I never did anything wrong for you to treat me this way." Her fists are shaking, wanting to hit Aidan the same way he did to Mhurt and his friends.

"I'm really sorry!" Aidan began to cry as regret consumed his body. "Please... Forgive me."

""Money... you claim it's due to money?" Nash brought out a money purse she'd hidden under her clothes. "There. It is entirely up to you whether you wish to repay me."

Aidan didn't take it.

Nash walked towards him and put the pouch in his hand.

"Hit me if you want..." Aidan whispered, "please."

"I want to, but I can't. You're that important to me," she stood back up and looked at his friend. "Never do that again or else I might actually kill you."

"I'm sorry..."

"I won't hit your head so you won't forget what happened now. I want you to suffer from regrets... don't expect to be treated the same way you were before, and don't act as if there's no problem between us."

"I'm sorry..."

"I won't accept your apology, so quit now!" She can't help but yell. "If you're sorry, why did you do it in the first place?"

"Just kill him." Raum said.

"Shut up!" Nash said in her thoughts.

"Fix yourself and head back first." Nash pulled him up to stand.

"What about you?"

"I'll calm myself. It's hard to alter my appearance when my emotions are unstable"

"But I can't leave you here!"

"You left me inside that fucking house, and you're saying you can't leave me?! Fucking shit," She breathe deeply to calm herself, "Go... before I could hurt you"

"Hurt me! It's fine with me as long as it satisfies you!" Aidan gathers his strength and makes his way towards Nash. "Hurt me!"

[slap]

"Satisfied? Now leave! They may be searching for us now. Tell them that I have a stomach ache."

Feeling his regrets, Aidan walks back to the training grounds with the money pouch in his clothes.

Nash heads back inside the house and looks for a clean robe. Her clothes had minor cuts so her members would question it.

'I feel dirty.'

She scrubbed her face, and as she was washing his arms, she noticed the marks left by the vines on her wrist.

After a few minutes, she returned to the training grounds, feeling increasingly uneasy as other knights gazed at her.

She can't help but recall Mhurt's lusty gaze on her.

"Your back! Come here!" Before Thed even touch Nash's elbow, she flinched and step back.

But she quickly realizes what she has done. Even her friends are taken aback by how she behaved.

Aidan bit his lips.

"Wh—"

"I'm sorry! I was surprised because I just saw a ghost earlier at the streams!"

Jaxael looked at her and thought, 'how was that connected to this?'

"Oh! I thought I did something wrong!" Thed laughed and Nash did to, awkwardly. "Your body is too light so make sure to eat lots and lots of food."

"She does eat a lot," Idris said. Others nodded.

"She does? Doesn't look like it but... oh well!"

Nash sat alongside Jaxael and ate silently.

She was only following Jaxael till they exited the grounds.

Idris approached her as soon as she arrived home. "Did you get into a fight with Aidan?"

"Huh? What do you mean? We didn't fight," she said.

Idris squinted his eyes. 'That's not how you answer questions.'

"Hmm.. I thought you two had a fight."

...

Nash is uneasy after three days of training, but he manages to act as if nothing is wrong.

She became ill after the training days because of the sleepless nights following the incident.

"Nash, I'm coming in," Aeries said, calmly. "Here's soup and medicine. Make sure to drink it after you eat."

"Thank you," she replied. Her voice had been raspy from crying all night.

She drank the pills without even tasting the soup after Aeries had departed.

...

"How was she?" Yjhan asked.

"Her voice was hoarse; she might have had a sore throat."

Aidan heard it. 'This is all my fault.'

"Is it really alright for us to leave her?" Aeries asked. He was concerned since he had seen changes in Nash and how worn her face appeared.

"Jaxael and Kane will be here. I already told them not to leave Nash alone," Yjhan replied. "Now let's go. It will be better to leave soon to come back early."

They left for a mission where 4 of them can handle it.
