Chapter 32

They spent almost 30 minutes walking just to get to the deserted river.

The sky was already bright when they arrived at their destination.

"Finally! We have arrived!" Bret yelled and lied down on the grass and breathed deeply, you could see the smokes when they breathed due to the cold temperature.

"Okay! Let's get started. We have to warm-up first in order to regulate the oxygen in our body and to prepare our body."

"What does that mean?" Shiela asked, looking lost.

"It means..." Nash stops and thinks for a while before answering Shiela's question, "Oh! If we don't warm up then our body will hurt so much that you won't be able to walk for weeks."

"Copy what I am doing okay?" Nash instructed as she turned her back from the kids who were forming a straight line behind her.

"Yes, sister!"

They started exercising their head with a neck stretch and rolls.

"This is fun!" Nash chuckled upon hearing Puru's statement.

"We're not starting yet," Nash exclaimed.

After Nash instructed them to form in a straight line, they finished warming up for 7 minutes. "Do you see that bridge over there, and that bridge over there?"

Nash pointed to the bridge in the distance, as well as the other bridge.

She continued, "We will be running from there to there for 5 laps. It's supposed to be 20 or above but since you're just kids, I don't want you to overwork your muscles."

"We're not kids anymore! Let's go for 20!" Bret exclaimed, looking at Nash with determination.

"Are you sure about that?" Nash asked, raising her right brow and crossing her arms.

"No! 30! So we can become knights faster!" Shiela exclaimed.

"All right," Bret said, nodding.

Nash sighed, "I just want to clear things out that it's your choice that we run for 30 laps, all right? Don't come at me and say it's my fault."

"Yes, sister!"

"Now... let's go!" They began to follow Nash, who was leading the brats. She didn't run fast in order to catch up with the kids' pace.

(Few minutes later...)

"I can't do this anymore, sister." Puru said with complete tiredness in his voice.

Nash held her chin and looked at Puru, 'Of course it will be too hard for him to start.'

"Then just rest there," she said, which made Puru's face beamed.

"Really?!" He sat down beside Nash's packed snacks.

They have already completed 10 laps and will complete 20 more laps to complete their jog.

"Can you stay here alone?" Nash asked. She looked deep into Puru's eyes.

Just then, the wind blows heavily causing the trees and bushes to make noise. Even the birds perched on the trees are carried away by the wind.

Puru suddenly imagines that a big animal will attack him all alone, 'I don't want to be eaten...'

"I can do this!" Puru stood up and chased after his friends.

After a few hours, they completed the lap. Although their pace is slow, the distance between the two bridges is too vast, so it's a given that they're a bit of a slow runner.

"We'll take a ten-minute break before continuing." She drew out five long ropes, each with a thick short grip at each end.

"What is that?" Trish asks in a shy yet exhausted voice.

"This is called a jumping rope. All you have to do is just jump over the rope continuously."

'If I were a bit stricter I would have pushed you brats to the ground and done push ups,' Nash thought to herself.

After their ten-minute break, Nash handed over the jumping ropes, "It would be done like this"

She demonstrated how to use the jumping rope. The kids were so enthralled by Nash's movements that their heads were constantly moving up and down.

"Cool!" Mackie said and tried it.

"How many numbers were you able to count?"

"300!"

Nash was shocked to hear their response.

"Really?! You brats are smart, aren't you?" Nash gave them a grin, "Then, while jumping, count until you reach 300."

"Yes, sister!"

She kept an eye on them for a while to make sure they were doing it correctly.

'Now, it's my turn.'

Nash does her usual training exercise. Fighting an old rotten tree using her martial arts skills, jumping over trees as well as each side of the river, improve her swordsmanship skills and other things that would be efficient to her life.

"300! We're done, sister!" They walked towards Nash who was fighting an old rotten tree.

"Okay, now, we'll start with more intense training!" She gave them a sly grin.

Their training exercise lasts for 4 hours.

"I'm hungry!" Puru said. Nash took out the bag she had brought and pulled out a large blanket as well as a few snacks she had prepared.

"Let's eat," Nash said. The kids aggressively eat the snacks Nash prepared.

"Aren't you going to eat, sister?" Shiela asked as she munched her bread.

Nash shook her head and watched the kids eat, "We'll return back after you eat."

[The border of Greytown]

"Brats! There are people passing too! Walk in one line," Nash ordered.

While the kids were walking in a straight line, a carriage was going towards the children's way, so Nash quickly pulled Bret, who was leading the kids and guarding the others.

The carriage came to a halt in front of them. The coachman frowns at them and looks at the kids as if they are some dirt roaming around.

"Tsk. Watch where you're going kids!" He yelled. In dread, the youngsters embraced Nash.

"You're the one who should watch where you are going! This is not a place for carriages, what an idiotic bastard you are." Nash growled in anger.

The coachman became enraged and cried back, "You! You have no right to say that! Didn't you know that the lady of Tytania is inside this carriage?"

"And so?" Nash raised her brows as she frowned, indicating her displeasure, "Whether you are noble or not, you must follow the rules."

The streets are wide enough to accommodate three carriages. The coachman attempted to use the sidewalk, which is intended for pedestrians.

'There should be gutters here to avoid this kind of accident,' Nash thought to her mind.

"If I hadn't been here to pull this kid, then he must've been squashed by now."

"This is taking too long," a lady with a fancy lace dress stepped out of the fancy carriage followed by the guards. "What do you want? Money?"

"I don't. I just wanted to let you know that even if you have a noble position, there are regulations that must be followed." Nash tried to remain cool for the sake of the terrified brats.

The lady slapped her, making Nash taken aback.

The lady crossed her arms and glared at them with disdain, "Insolent! You dare to say such a thing to me, Lady Yeona of Tytania? How absurd."

The lady turned to face her guards and pointed at Nash. "Drag her,"

"No!" The kids tried to stop them from taking away Nash.

"I'm fine. I can't take you home now, so please go to the Barcley's Diner. I'll be there in a few minutes."

Trish began to cry. Nash wiped away her precious tears, "I'll be back, I promise."

Nash looked at Bret, whose eyes were tearing. "You're the eldest, so I trust you on this."

Bret nodded.

"What are you waiting for?! Drag her!" Lady Yeona ordered her guards to drag Nash to a secluded place.
