9 Chap 9 - The Enchantment of the Magical City and the Grand Mansion

As I made my way toward the grand mansion, my eyes widened at the sight of the bustling city that lay before me. The city was filled with an aura of magic that was palpable in the air, making it clear that this was no ordinary place. The narrow cobblestone streets were lined with quaint little shops and cafes, their signs swinging in the breeze, advertising their wares in a magical script that glowed with an otherworldly light.

As I walked further into the heart of the city, I saw several carts and wagons rolling by, each one pulled by a team of horses that snorted and pawed at the ground, as if eager to take off into the sky. The carts themselves were bedecked with all manner of magical trinkets and curiosities, from enchanted crystals that glimmered in the sunlight to miniature dragons that chirped and fluttered their wings.

People of all kinds bustled about the streets, their cloaks and robes swirling around them in a kaleidoscope of colors. Some carried spellbooks and wands, while others had more mundane items like baskets of fruit or freshly baked bread. But no matter what they carried, each person seemed to exude a sense of magic and wonder that was infectious.

As I made my way through the city, I couldn't help but notice that there were no monsters in sight. Unlike the dark and foreboding forest where I lived, here in the magical city, people walked freely without any fear of being attacked by beasts. Perhaps it was the enchantments woven into the very fabric of the city that kept the monsters at bay, or maybe the people themselves were powerful enough to fend off any danger that came their way.

As we approached the castle, my eyes widened in amazement at the sheer size and grandeur of the building. The walls rose high above us, adorned with intricate carvings and shimmering with a magical glow that seemed to pulse with energy. As we neared the entrance, a group of maids dressed in flowing robes greeted us with warm smiles, their eyes hinting at enchantment and wonder.

Entering the mansion, I was struck by its sheer opulence and extravagance. Golden chandeliers cast a warm and inviting light throughout the room, illuminating the polished marble floors that were intricately designed with mystical symbols that seemed to pulse with energy. Everywhere I looked, some objects seemed to hold magical power.

One of the maids led me to my room, and as I stepped inside, my breath caught in my throat. The room was fit for a queen, with a plush four-poster bed draped in silken sheets and a canopy adorned with glittering jewels. The walls were lined with tapestries that depicted scenes of fantastical wizards and dragons, and a fireplace crackled with a comforting warmth.

As I unpacked my belongings, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and excitement at the prospect of living in such a magical place. The mansion was a marvel of mystical craftsmanship, and I felt honored to call it my temporary home. Every detail of the room seemed to have been carefully crafted with magic, and I was eager to explore all that this enchanted castle had to offer.

"Your clothes were washed and pressed," said one of them when she opened up her trunk for me. "You have your maid to help dress you. She will take care of you until we can procure a tailored outfit."

"I do not need this," I replied in an irritated tone.

One person responsible for dressing me was too much.

I was not a kid. It was just… I didn't like it. But if they insisted on doing so, then fine. Whatever made these people happy with their work being completed right away by someone else. No complaints from my side!

"Don't touch my husband," Amaterasu suddenly interjected with a sharp voice.

She arrived just as I was being changed. Along with her arrival, the maids immediately halted in terror.

"I'm sorry for this Amaterasu," I said with a smile.

The maid hugged me when she was almost on the verge of crying.

"You are not to blame for this." For some reason, her tone did not match her words as her gaze alternated between me and the maid that was hugging me.

"Let her go, honey." Despite the smile and polite words, I felt a chill creep down my back.

Amaterasu was turning even more jealous. She looked down at herself while holding onto the hem of her skirt. Her eyes turned red again.

That meant she had no intention of letting anyone touch me, but her. That was why she got mad. Well, whatever worked best for her.

"Apologize to her Amaterasu," I expressed my disapproval at her words.

"I did not do anything wrong."

Amaterasu looked like a child throwing tantrums. If she didn't apologize, then there would be trouble later. So I decided to step forward and do it myself.

"Again, I apologize for the inconvenience."

The face of the maid softened after hearing my apology. And the ones behind me smiled happily.

"Huh? Humph." But this was different for Amaterasu, who seemed to be unhappy with my attitude.

"Please Amaterasu," I begged again.

"I am sorry." Her words were not a good indicator of her tone but–

Finally, Amaterasu apologized.

"Thanks." I decided to praise her for accepting my unusual request.

Since everyone was smiling now. It was time to move along.

"I've done what you asked for. Now let's dress you up," Amaterasu began to remove my clothing with a genuine smile.

When the maids saw it, they left us alone.

Amaterasu had taken over completely after I was naked.

"Don't worry about being modest around me," she said in a sweet voice while touching every inch of my body.

"No bad behavior with my Master." Suddenly a voice emerged from my sword.

Following this, it began to emit a halo until a girl appeared before us. She had blonde hair along with a curvy figure that accentuated her shape. Dressed in a battle uniform, the girl emitted a different-world charisma, drawing my attention.

"That cursed Spirit," Amaterasu chuckled at the emergence of the words.

"You didn't even wait to take advantage of the situation," The girl uttered a reply.

"It would seem that way. Now, please excuse yourself. My honey does not wish to see you anymore." Amaterasu was definitely not willing to concede.

"You damned demon." Similar could be said for the girl that had emerged from my sword.

"Stop you two," I yelled, stopping their banter.

We were no longer in the forest, they had to be educated.

Listening to me, they both nodded obediently.

"What are you?" I asked the girl.

Even though I had spent a long time with my sword, I was not aware of such a thing.

As if sensing my confusion the girl replied, "I am the sword Spirit."

A sword inhabiting a Spirit. Interesting…

But what was about to happen next? With that I decided to inquire a bit more about the Spirit.

"Are you sure you want to know everything about me?" It was as if the girl, the Spirit, was awaiting my question. A smile appeared on her face as she questioned me.

"Yes." I had to know about something that I had been carrying with me.

"Very well, then I shall share the information with you." The Spirit's expression turned serious before returning back to normal.

"First things first; I'm a blade created from an Ancient Magical Stone." Her first sentence caught me off guard.

Just when I was about to ponder on this sentence–

"She's just a pervert who's been watching you forever," Amaterasu protested.

"T..that's a big lie," The Spirit responded to the question in a childish tone which made me wonder about her words. But it did not seem to matter to her as she continued, "I am a sword created by my Master.."

"Whoa! You're amazing!" Hearing those words, I exclaimed.

"Of course, you are my creator." There was some pride hidden in those words.

"That cocky spirit," Amaterasu seemed to have guessed as she murmured.

"M...master, I have something to ask you," The Spirit continued.

"Go ahead." I nodded my head in approval.

"Could you establish a contract with me?"

"Why do you want this?"

Hmm, this was not something that I was expecting.

"W...well, you have not recognized me as your companion yet..." She uttered in a blushing manner.

What?

I froze with that question.

Following my reaction, she coughed.

"I mean, you still haven't recognized me as your Spirit." At my sudden reaction she looked embarrassed.

Ah yes, Spirits were considered as companions or familiars. This girl wanted to become mine. What should I say...?

"I think it'd be good for you if you became my familiar." There was not much I could do, after all I was the one who created her and I had to take responsibility for her.

"Yes sir!" She cheered at my words.

Well, it seemed like a lot of fun with a Spirit around me. And maybe it could help out with some things.

"That shameless spirit!" Shouted Amaterasu from the side.

"First come first served." The Spirit did not want to take this lying down as she said in a mocking tone.

"Ahem, well anyway, I accept," I declared after letting out a short cough at the duo's interaction.

"You must nominate a name for me and with that the contract will be complete." She proudly explained as she waited for Amaterasu.

Amaterasu returned with a look of hatred.

"Master, I am ready whenever you are." With those words, those azure eyes stared at me with expectation and excitement.

"Okay, with that I name you Ely ," I chanted her name with a serious and dignified face.

Thus, the Spirit, Ely was officially proclaimed as my familiar.
