1 Transmigrated?

Hypatia opened her eyes slowly. Her mind was blank and her body felt heavy. Her eyelids felt like there's a ton of weight hindering her to open her eyes.

She finally could open her eyelids after failing many times. She could not fully open her eyes, just a little bit to look at the soft brown pinkish light in front of her.

All of her body is heavy, as if it was not her own. She tried to lift her fingers, and move it a little bit.

Is she drunk? Or sick? Or is she having an accident and now laying on a hospital bed? She felt the bed under her is a little bit flat and hard, just like a hospital bed.

She closed her eyes again, tired of trying.

Ah, whatever, just go back to sleep once more.

The next time she wakes again, she tries to remember the last thing happened to her. She was driving her car alone, going back home. Before that, she drinks a bit with her friends, celebrating her return to her hometown.

Hypatia lived in the capital, yet she was away for years. She's been studying medicine at a university in a smaller town for six years. Then she's back to working in the capital before going to a remote island, working there for one year.

Why, you ask? Hypatia wants to be a good person. Just like an inspirational figure she often reads in history books. But she's just ordinary, and she knows she can't be like Dian Fossey who stays in Rwanda's forest to save those endangered gorillas. Thus she chose the one year government program to be a doctor in a remote area.

After that, she took her residency and finished it after three years. She wants to take subspecialties, yet life does not allow her.

Her parents were not blessed to have a happy marriage. Her father changes mistresses every few years.

His father is an independent contractor, and has a small team under him. They work on a small scale and sometimes work for big contractors. The money is good.

Hypatia is smart, even though she took medical school, but she applied for a government university. Cheaper, much cheaper, even though the test is super hard. That's why she could only be admitted to a university outside the capital. It's still the top ten universities in the country though.

But, his father's last mistress drains their money, until their house certificate stays in the bank. Her mother was not crying, but she said she's afraid every time the debt collector from the bank visits them.

Hypatia had no choice, she cancelled her plan to take subspecialties. She applied for the government program once more to collect money. This time it is not a remote island since she's already an internist.

She's working in a small town, surrounded by mountains and rivers, but still has electricity and internet. After two years working, she finally cleared her father's debt.

The 33 years old Hypatia is finally back in the capital, ready to look for a new job, and wants to enjoy city life with her best friends. She already listed places she wants to visit, shoes and bags she wants to buy once she got a new hospital to work at. So she drank a little bit, and drove home.

Don't tell her that she's having an accident on the way home and now laying in the bed. The thing she is afraid of the most is becoming paralysed. She saw how her grandmother was paralysed and only could cry for two years before she passed away.

Hypatia pray, if she has to die, she doesn't want a painful long tortured death.

With fear invading her mind, she's trying to move her fingers again. She tries to open her eyes again, and open her mouth. No voice could be produced from her dry throat. Her lips felt so dry, maybe it all chapped.

Suddenly, she felt a hand holding her hand, feeling her wrist. Then strange voices and language she doesn't recognise falling to her ear.

Hospital? So she's having an accident? Her last memories.. She tries to recall it once again. She quit trying moving, and just thinking hard..

Driving. On a highway. Near the junction.. It seems.. A light, a crash, her hands hold the steer tight yet she was crushed from behind..

Please God.. Don't tell her that she's having a big accident and paralyse. How could she leave her mother alone? She has not yet made her mother happy. She promised to buy a new house and will let her mother live with her there if her mother gets angry with her father again.

Her surroundings were so noisy. Some people are shouting. Some are running. Sounds like things put roughly on some surface. Table? It's like the sound of metal clanking with wood.

What kind of hospital is this? No doctors and nurses will shout like madmen in the hospital, like what these people do.

Strange.. These people speak and shout, yet none of their voice nor their language is familiar to Hypatia.

No matter how hard Hypatia is working, she still can't open her eyes properly nor speak.

Soft hands grabbed her hands, and also soft lips landed on her forehead.

Is it her mom? Her father and her brother won't kiss her like this. But why do the hands feel so soft? Her mother is already 55 years old. Her hands were not as soft as this.

Who?

Her friends? Why does her friend kiss her on her forehead, and now on her cheek too.

Hypatia worked hard, yet she failed and was tired. She fell asleep once again. The next time she woke up, her hands were still held by the same soft hand.

Her fingers twitched, and she tried to open her eyes again. The same soft brown light filled her vision. She tried again.

This time, she could half open her eyes. Yet she was so shocked to see the blur image in front of her.

A woman holds her hands, and she shouting, followed by sounds of hurry steps running toward her. The woman steps aside, another shadow comes to her. Check her wrist again, and also forcefully open her eyes and her mouth.

She could see even if it was blurry. But she was so shocked her brain turned numb. None of this blur image was familiar to her. None of their language was recognised.

Hypatia could only speak two languages. English and her native mother tongue. But she likes to watch Japanese anime, Korean drama, Chinese movies, French, Dutch, German, and some other languages she recognizes. But.. This language is so foreign.

Hypatia was so shocked. Don't tell her..

Transmigrated???

Which book??? Last hundred books she read are all yaoi novels and comics! So why was she as a woman transmigrated here? To cure the bent protagonist? To straighten the bend villain?? She doesn't want to!!

In all transmigrated book she read, the main character will receive the previous body's memories. So why doesn't she receive anything? No system too??

She tried to call for it in her mind.

"System..? Hellooo…"

What kind of crap is this? Nothing answers her. No cheating or golden fingers too???

She's just a truly ordinary woman with no big talent. Why? She never gives bad reviews to all the novels she read!

And.. What about her family? Her friends? Her mother…

How could she go back? With no system, how could she go away from this weird world?

She tried her best to open her eyes and analyse her surroundings. The light yellow curtain flows in her surroundings. Her bed seems to be spacious even though it's a little bit hard.

Thank God.. She was too afraid if she transmigrated being a beggar or slave. She's even too lazy to wash her clothes and her dishes so she hired a woman to do her house chores. How could she survive if she transmigrated as a slave? She can't even tell the difference between detergent and soap to wash clothes!

She wants to move her head to see more, yet she still can't move. The blur image in front of her turns clear after she tries to blink her eyes several times. A man's face came to her eyes. Again, the man is speaking something she could not understand.

The man is gone, replaced by a woman's face. Hypatia stunned. The woman is too pretty. She is the prettiest person Hypatia has ever seen. She's even more beautiful compared to Song Hye Kyo or Natalie Portman.

Her black hair is raised up with a complicated style. A silver tiara with gems laid in her head. Her right earring is big, silver with a complicated pattern covering half of her ear, with one big red gem dangling from the chain, as red as her full seductive lips.

Her skin is bright and looks so soft, with light green eyes which make it seem mysterious. She looks like a 20 year old woman, but her aura clearly shows she is a mature woman with lots of wisdom and experience.

An aura felt like a princess, or a queen.

The hair style is not something Hypatia could recognise. Not Western or Eastern style. But the tiara seems a little bit like European style, even though that thin silver chain connecting the tiara to the earrings is a little bit like Indian or Eastern style.

Hypatia is really confused. None of the books she read describes this kind of style.

Can someone please tell me which book she transmigrated into? What is her purpose to be here? And most importantly, which genre???
