Prologue - A Mother's Success

In a mysterious universe filled with a mythical power of legends, on an expansive continent with myriads of diverse wonders and devilish dangers, a young woman could be seen running through the forest whilst carrying a baby in her bosom.

The baby that was wrapped inside expensive purple-colored silk seemed to be merely a few months old, yet it's future was already turning out to look nothing but bleak.

Sweat droplets ran down the woman's forehead as she mustered all of the available power in her legs to escape from the life-threatening danger that was following closely behind her.

She knew that as soon as she would be caught, she and her child would undoubtedly meet their end.

Around a hundred meters behind the running woman, a squad of men clad in armor that shone a bright azure blue could be seen frantically chasing her. They carried noticeable frowns on their faces as well as anger. But most surprisingly, there was a hint of fear in their facial expressions.

It was as if their very life depended on being able to reach the woman and her child.

'Almost there!' The woman thought with anticipation. She had been able to keep the squad at bay for nearly ten minutes after she entered the Forbidden Forest; something that would be considered a neigh impossible feat if it were to be made public.

That would never happen though. Her foes would keep this matter under tight wraps, assuming absolute control over any potential leaks of information.

She snuck a rapid glance behind her, and after seeing that she was in the clear, quickly jumped dozens of meters high right onto the crown of a relatively small tree. Then, from the naked eye, she along with the child in her bosom disappeared into nothingness.

The squad of four, who arrived only a few seconds later, couldn't help but adopt an expression of shock. One of the members instantly recovered from his initial surprise and ordered the other trio in extreme anger, his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets,

 "Locate that damned whore immediately!"
